The most ironic part of this post is she wants guys like her friends are getting when in truth she should be looking for a relationship cause those guys will eventually end up dumping those girls like a ton of rocks and all their egos will also plumet. okay, so i'm 14/m, and she's 14/f, and i've known her for a really long time as a friend, and i've had a secret crush on her forever now.
so i said to her the other day, "hey, do you wanna go see a movie or something on friday" and she looks at me like i'm crazy. i've never really had a girlfriend before, and i think i totally f*cked up our relationship. she won't even talk to me anymore. anyone got some advice that could help? *deep sigh*.... When you offer to go to the movies, bring a bunch of friends so if it doesnt work out like you planed, both of you wont be conflicting through the whole damn movie.(the bring friends stunt also helps on making it not so personal so its not such a big deal if she goes.) Get 2 friends (it helps if you have an older bro your age) and say your going to the movies and ask if she and her friends would like to come along. Now look, if you go to the movies with her, dont confess that you like her out of the blue. Have fun and be playful with her throughout the movie, feel it out; make it something you both will enjoy. Stay somewhat flirty and just have fun. Hmmmm, I think me and my brother should write a book on this.
Not to be an @$$ but truth be told, the reason she wont talk to you (odds 7/10) is cause she likes someone else and doesnt know how to tell you. This doesnt mean you ruined your relationship, it means you have to make her fall for you.
ONE FINAL THING: DONT DO THE "I DONT WANT OUR RELATIONSHIP TO CHANGE, IM SRY" THING!! If you do your admiting defeat. Dont admit you like her unless she admits to likeing you. This way you have your options open and she isnt as threatened.

Best thing I would say is to feel out your mom and feel out how the conversation is going and use your judgement to take it where u want it to go. Some people dont know how to do that and others arent good at that so my best advice would be for you to spew. Just say really quickly "omg i have to get this off my chest........". Another approach would be to just ease your mom into it. The "theres this boy and he's kinda my boyfriend so i was wondering if he could come over and meet you so i know what you think of him." For some reason parents like that. Try either one and see how they work. Enjoy.

ok well, for some odd reason when it comes to my boyfriend I get REALY REALLY jealous. I never was a jealous person until I fell in love with him. We've been going out for about 1 year and 2 months now. I know he gets really jealous too but I get more jealous. Even when he is talking to one of my friends about me I always have this thought in the back of my head saying "omg! what if he likes her or she likes him!?!" its horible! I dont WANT to be jealous but I am. When we first started dating me, him, and my friend Noelle were all in a chat room on aim together and keep in mind that Noelle and jacob(my bf) went out before. but anyways we were in the chat room and I KNOW that they were joking but Noelle kept saying "Oh Jacob why dont you come over sexy!" and other stuff that I would rather not say. and he was going along with it and everything! While I WAS THERE! I was pissed and I told him that and he said sorry. but to this day its hard to trust him with girls. It gets really hard...but these are my questions...
1) do you have any ideas to get over my jealousy?
2) Do you think I should trust him still?
3) do you know anyways to trust someone better?

ok, in my experience, we have many voices in our head; among them are the voices of emotion and logic. I feel that jealousy occurs cause your emotional side takes influence of your logical side. Keeping a level head will help with the jealousy. Of course most people feel this jealousy, but using better judgement and trust will help. Sometimes the possiblities scare people, especially when the possibility is of cheating which is more likely than anything. To release some jealousy just remind yourself that you have no control over him but you would never cheat on him so you will always have a guilt free conscience.
Of course you should still trust him. Just make sure you have a soft pillow to land on if you were to be let down. Guys like to poke fun at their girlfriends and whatnot. What your guy did was possibly an example of that. Be careful though, you need to realize if he gets you too high, you can fall so build a soft ground for yourself to land. For women, icecream seems to work well.
Takeing an overwhelmingly positive outlook on life will help with all those problems. Dont react without thinking. Rationalize and be proactive(react in positive manors).
If you are one of those materialistic sticklers who dont think they can handle just that, do this:
when your starting to feel jealous, think "just relax."
Everyone has emotions -- they are like little voices -- however, not all of us choose to hear or listen to those voices.

There are many reasons:
A) Most of the time we dont know we are flirting when we are.
B) The world we know it has been taken over by 4$$h01e$ so when a guy is just being nice, you women mistake his nice behavior for flirting.
C) Guys have what i call women ADD. We are like hey how ya doing.... oh look at the one over there, or the one over there.
D) The universal truths that: All guys are @$$holes and all women secretly hate each other.
E) OUR(the guy) philosophy that "why have one when you can have many"
F) The real reason for this is obvious. The said guy is trying to keep his options open. Now what i mean by this is that if he hit soley on the first girl other girls would be turned away easily, but if he pays attention to many girls then he has all his options open, thus providing the best situation for the said guy.
now wasnt that an insiteful moment in the mind of a guy ( me ).

If a pregnant woman is killed, it's considered a double homicide then why are abortions looked upon differently? I've heard things like when a pregnant woman is killed, it wasn't her choice but it is her choice in the case of an abortion. But, she isn't killing herself when it comes to abortions; she's doing it to another, developing human being. So that just doesn't make sense to me. (link)

We are not trying to start a debate on our own beliefs ( which is a bad idea ) or sway the person who had this question.
To whomever asked the question(remember this is my opinion and point of view):
Why is abortion not considered a murder or homicide? Easy, its cause some scientists in some lab detirmined at a certain point of the pregnancy the developing fetus is part of the host body and then after that point it is no longer considered a part of the womans body; its living on its own. I do believe if a pregnant woman was killed she would also have to be beyond the stage for abortion. The government has many standards for many things, even life!
I would like to note that nowhere in here is my standpoint on abortion.

ok, i'm 13/f and i homeschool, so i don't have many friends. i do extra work on shows a lot, and on this one show i was there for the entire first season, coming 3 times a week! all of the other kids came just as much as me, so we became really close. i met my best friend there, let's call her *hayley* so, after being there for a few months, while i was just sitting around playing checkers with some kid, hayley, comes up to me and whispers in my ear, "ok, um...*robert* wants me to tell you that he likes you" i said, "oh, ok" robert is a really nice boy, just a couple months younger than me, and i like him a lot, but i don't know if i like him like him. after that one of our friends said a joke, and *robert* and i just looked at each other sorta awkwardly laughing. so, later that day, *hayley* said, "he just likes you as a friend." my question is that did he like me like me, or just liked me as a friend? a few montsh after that, we were at like a party for all of the extras, and it was a truth or dare thing, and a friend asked *robert* who do you like here? robert said, "idk, *mary*" then they asked me the same question and i said, "idk *mark* does he still like me? sorry that it's really long! i'll rate high for good answers! =)

O.K. so here's the deal. My brother takes me to school each morning in his car. Usually we would just leave at the last second, and get there in time. Now, we're leaving 30 minutes earlier to pick up his friend. I was o.k. with it, but now they're starting to smoke in the car and I get to school with my clothes smelling like smoke. Normally, I would just ask him to stop, but during last summer him and his ex-girlfriend had a baby when he was sixteen, and now I just feel bad for him a lot and I would feel guilty for asking him, because it's probably his way of dealing with the baby (Not that it's the right way.) What should I do?

ok, just talk to him casually about it. He might be going through some stuff, but he doesnt need to drag you into it. Besides that make sure he relizes the baby might actually want a father someday so he should quit. If he doesnt stop, threaten to ride the bus to school, which will make your parents suspicious w/o you directly ratting him out.

At school today, we were discussing the French Revolution in History class. The teacher was talking about how back then 97 % of French people were Catholic and they stuck firmly to tradition. We then started contrasting that to these times.
Then out of the blue he asked how many people believed in a Christian God. Not one person put their hand up. I didn't at first because I was embarassed, but then I did. I was the only one.
Later I was thinking.. I'm not sure it was right for my teacher to ask this. Is there any sets of rules on this type of thing? Like are teachers not meant to discuss issues like religion, politics, etc? I'm usually pretty closed-up about this kind of thing.
It really bothers me when I think about it, because I don't see why it was necessary. I graduate high school in a few months and was thinking of saying something to him at the end of the year. So, can someone let me know their opinion on this? Was it wrong for him to ask this?

Ok, I have this math problem that I need help with. They give you a formula thats..
c = (2x)^v - x
^ ~ that being to the POWER of v
Then they said to rewrite that formula only using the varible x. So that means I would have to solve for V, and set c to 0 (zero).
So far the formula would be..
1) 0 = (2x)^v - x
+x = + x
2) x = (2x)^v
.. and I'm lost after that step. What would step 2 be? and what would my finishing formula be without the varible v?

Everybody has something their good at right? Some people are good dancers, athletes, public speakers, etc. I feel like I need something to be dedicated to. I love to be creative and i like to paint. I know its an advantage to know what you want to be, but i don't know of any realistic jobs where I can be expressive and creative, and make decent money. I'm only 13 but i would like to set a goal so when I get to highschool I'll be ahead of my game. I take as many art classes as I have time for. If someone could give me some career ideas, that would be awesome! (link)

I read that every person needs a certain amount of calories every day to function properly (just to live, and these will be burned off because they are used to live). If you eat more than this ammount, you will keep however many calories more you consume. What I was asking, is that if I eat less than this amount, does it mean that I will be decreasing calories, and losing weight? (link)

if you like malnutrition yea. So aka what im saying is your going to get sick if you dont eat what your body needs. The easiest way to do it is to go to a nutritionist and ask. I would say a good way to lose weight is to join a karate. This way you learn disipline and all that good stuff while getting in shape. Disipline as in physically disiplined.

I'm 5'7, 170ish pounds, and very inactive. I go to school, and then sit at the computer all day.
A few days ago I decided to start a diet, but I don't think I'm doing it right. I calculated that I need about 2300 calories a day, is that right? Or is that how much I consume? How much do I actually need a day?
Today, I consumed a total of 1163 calories. A pound is 3,500 calories. Does this mean that I'm -1137 calories today, meaning I lost half a pound? I'm very confused with everything, but I want to lose weight, and I need to know if I've planned it correctly. I just need to know if I've got it all wrong, and if I do, what can I change? (link)

[edit] How is this a lie. Eating less is dangerous because you wont get what nutrients you need. But dont get this mixed up either, if you eat like a freaking cow, thats also bad for you. Thats why there's a DRA.
FYI your a complete idiot if you think, "If i eat less I will lose weight". Here's an idea for you to take into consideration, maybe instead of storeing what you need and getting rid of what you dont, your body will keep everything.
