I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.
I'm one of the lucky ones.


I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.
I like to see it as a perk, because it's better to hear the truth than to be told candy coated bullshit.

If you take your application to your school guidance councilor, they will help you fill it out. If they think to add more is best, they will help you figure out what to add to it.
Remember, a lot of kids don't realize their guidance councilor's job is to help them get out into the world- their job is to help you get into the college that best suits your needs or the college of your choice.

im friends with a shmuck. he's my best friend but he's a manwhore basically. he got back with his ex girlfriend and while they were on a 6 month break me and my guy friend hooked up quite a few times. now that they're back together me and him are both having trouble resisting temptation of hooking up again. we have not been physical at all in the month that they've been back together except for one hug. here's the thing though. we always talk dirty to each other and i feel bad about it and afterwards im almost sick to my stomach in guilt but he's like an addiction. he's the first guy that i've been sexual with if that makes a difference. i really want to stop this because i feel bad but everytime we're around each other our conversations turn sexual and sexual towards each other. don't tell me to talk about something non-sexual because we could be talking about frogs or something random but it'll still end up that way.

tyler is my best friends and i think i might like him, but i don't want to mess up our great friendship. i know he likes me too. his girlfriend broke up with him because he said to her face quote on quote "she's much hotter than you'll ever be," he is sooooooo sweat though. i don't whether i should trust him though because he is so desperate for popularity that once he tole my firneds deepest secret to the "cool kids" ( who are a buch of assholes)

First off, if he is so desperate for acceptance that he is willing to break your trust and tell your secrets to other people, he can't be trusted.
Second off, if he is such a jerk that he will say something like that to his girlfriend, there is a great chance he treat you the same.

Best bet? Keep the relationship friendly or you have a high probability of getting your heart broken and losing a friendship.

over the weekend i was working and i had coffee with a lot of sugar and a large soda within an hour. then i ate some candy and some ice cream. suddenly i got really light headed and naucious and started to shake uncontrollably. i was like this for an hour and then i was ok, still a little light headed. then an hour later i started shaking again and i finally fell asleep. today i woke up and i was fine but an hour later i started getting naucious again. all i ate for lunch was water and sunchips. i couldn't even smell anything sugary without getting sick. what's wrong with me because i hate being like this. it happens everytime i have a lot of sugar.

Honestly? You sound like you are having the same experience as a kid who has eaten too much Halloween candy.
But I'm not a professional, and a professional opinion is what you need.
I would talk to your doctor about this.

I'm not a guy, but I can tell you all men have at least a little pig in them. It is their nature.
Will they stop ogling your body? Probably not. It is in their nature.
Is there any decent guys out there who like a girl for her personality, are decent human beings, who are sensitive and care? Of course there are. There are likely some in that room you walked into- you just don't realize it.

The girl across the hall in my dorm does not have her own printer. She asks if she can use mine whenever she needs to print something. At first it was fine, but it's becoming a very frequent thing and it is starting to bug me. Ink is expensive and mine is getting used up pretty fast (I think she has used it more times then I have). What should I say to her to get her to stop? I don't want to be mean, but I can't constantly be letting her use up my ink and my paper.

You are just going to have to stand up for yourself. That is all there is to it, or she will keep taking advantage of your kindness.
If she is going to use your printer, she needs to at least pay half the cost of an ink cartridge. If she can't do that, tell her to find another way to print her papers.
She should also supply her OWN paper.

Even if you are on the pill, you should always use a condom.
Condoms are the only thing out there that protects you from STDs.
Even if you are both virgins, it is best for you both to stay in the habit of practicing safe sex.

ok im sure this is going to get long because my family is truly messed up. lol
well first off my dad, hes 50,he has the early stage of aslhimers, so he forgets things all the time. Because he doesnt want to face the facts, when he forgets where things are he blames me for it.by the wayy im mackenza. 16 and a only child.my dad also used to be a drill sargent. he treats me like one of his men. my mom shes way over protective. she had a horrible child hood and doesnt want me to get hurt like her. so she makes it to where i cant even hardly leave the house. with the two of them i can hardly do anything and i am always crying. i hate things and i am so stressed because i always have to do everything because my dad dont do anything and moms always at work.they choose my friends, when i sleep, and everything. what should i do? like its seriously getting to much for me.

What makes things hard, is I wager sitting down and having a heart to heart with your dad is difficult, considering he has Alzheimer's and refuses to accept that.

Your mom isn't doing a bad thing by trying to protect you from harm, but she could be overdoing it a bit. But she overdoes it because she loves you and only wants what is best for you.

I think step one is having a long talk with your mom about your feelings on all this. She may work a lot, but I'm sure she can find the time to sit down and talk to her daughter.
Maybe together you can find a solution, and maybe she can get it through to your dad that you are not a soldier, you are a kid.

That's pretty much your only option other than accepting it and living with it until you are 18 and on your own.

If you like the military guy more, then wait for him is what you should do.
This other guy can give you real kisses and hugs now, but the military guy's kisses and hugs will mean more because you love him, and be more special since you waited so long for them.

I had short hair for years. When I was younger, I had hair to be my butt. I grew out my hair past my shoulders, above my boobs. For some reason when my hair is dirty or when it's not [sometimes] my neck gets itchy.. like a rash. is there something wrong with me? my hair? i got this when i was younger, but only when i was sleeping .. i always pushed my hair back off my neck.


Is it because I haven't washed my hair or is it something else? Help?

When I wear my hair down, my neck gets itchy, too. My hair is really thick, so it makes my neck hot, which in turn makes it itch.
That may be the cause?
You could get one of those hair combs that stretch and go all the way around your head (I can't think of what they are called)to help keep your hair from resting directly on your neck.
Or you can use a headband or keep your hair tied up.

today at lunch my bf like hit himself in the head with a water bottle, and i, not wanting him to hit himself, took the bottle from him. then a few of our friends were saying hes whipped. and my bf didnt really oppose it. he was just like "hey that used to be you!!" to our friend cause thats what everyone said about his ex gf. i know i am so nice to my bf though he just does a lot of things that could get him hurt (usually a lot worse than a water bottle dont worry im not that ridiculous) and i have stopped him from doing these things as a way to show him i care (i have done this since way before we were going out) i didnt realize i was doing that. is it really that bad? hearing that and making that realization made me really upset. like since then i have been fighting back tears. and i avoided my bf for the rest of the day because im sad and i dont want him to ask why or wonder why im not talking. i had no idea i was doing anything wrong but now i see. help?

A guy who is 'whipped' is generally whipped by a girl who intended that to happen.
A guy who is whipped usually does every single thing his girlfriend tells him when she bosses him around. Sort of like "Carry my books" and he follows orders. There was no question there. There was no please. There was just an order. And His response is kind of a "Yes, Dear! Anything for you!"

Stopping him from doing harmful things to himself, such as hitting himself in the head, is showing you care, not whipping him.

I would say you are infatuated.
Why? You love everything about this guy... what you know of him. That means you REALLY don't know this guy to love him at all.

You are in love with your boyfriend, who you say makes you happy. Are you really willing to give up that happiness over a guy who, from the sounds, you don't really know?

Especially considering you are wanting to spend the rest of your life with your boyfriend.

Sometimes, when folks are in love, they come across another who is a real attention- getter. But that attention- getter is not always the one for you.

My husband is the same way.
