Alin75 answered Tuesday September 18 2007, 5:46 pm: I agree with YG. In my case it was nowhere near as bad is its reputation. Everyone told me it was going to be sooo terrible, but in the end it was not that big a deal.
The procedure itself was not really painful. I elected not to be put to sleep and did it with local anesthetic. The only down side to that is that you could hear everything going on in my mouth (and there were all sorts of nasty sounds lol). But no pain that I remember.
All in all, no need to be nervous. You will have a few days of discomfort most likely.

You may feel a little uncomfortable the first day after surgery. mostly you'll just be groggy. They
will give you something for pain, but its usually
