My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

I just got hired to plan a 3-year old's birthday party, and am stuck on games. I already have Simon Says and Red Light Green Light. I also want to do a craft. If it helps, the parents have rented a moonbounce for the event. If possible, I would like to have 1 water game that does NOT soak the kids!! Thanks in advance and I rate!!

My 9 year old cousin is coming up tommorrow. Any ideas on how to amuse her for a few hours? I was thinking maybe giving her a little makeover, or something.

well if she is a girly girl a making over would be fun and you can have her dress up and do a little like photoshoot or something. You guys can also go to a park and play or go have some ice cream. you can also watch a movie together or play some card games or something

so ive been babysitting jack and jill every other weekend. jill is really good and sweet but jack is not. now there mom wants me to watch them everyday in the summer. and i dont want to! im only 14 i have a life! but their mom is really pushy and in your face.

what should i do?

well first tell them you cant ever day but maybe twice a week? also if you find something jack really likes i bet he wont be as bad. find something like taking them to a park or go get ice cream to keep them ocupied also things like scavenger hunts are fun. Just dont let jack see that you are mad because that will brush off on him. Movies are fun too as well as baking. The key thing is give him something to do for a long period of time because if he is engaved he will forget about whatever is making him bad

it depends on your area. I charge $3 per kid per hour. it also depends on your age and that ive been babysitting for almost 2 years and im 15. because im so young parents arent going to pay be like $6 per hour per child just because i cant drive/ not an adult/ect. i would recoment working it out with the family instead if having a set rate on a flyer or whatever

ok...i wanna babysit during the summer only i don't know how to start. and i dont wanna babysit alone. so...how do i start babysitting?

well first make sure u took a class or something and you know who your going to babysit from the start. Parents that dont no you well want to know exactly who is going to be with their kids all the time. also i recomend doing it by yourself unless there are more than 2 kids. Parents plan to pay a set rate and they wont pay extra for more people being there wich means less money for you. also send out flyers saying you are relable and have expirience and charge a low fee.

ok i babysit almost 24/7. my sister has cancer and she just found out sh eis pregnant, she has to give the baby up.well she's going home to her family in texas and she's leaving her kids that i watch all the time anyways with me. my frinds tell em i should tell her to watch her own kids because i never have time to be a kid, wat do ya'll think?

well they shouldnt nec. be your resposiblity but you have to remeber your sister is sick and she needs. she didnt choose to get sick and you are prob her only option. The fun thing to do is get you friends to help you watch them so you not stuck with just them and you can have a good time. See if the kids friends moms can watch them every once and a while to give you a break.

I'm like a hugeeee tomboy. Like I wear long shorts and football jerseys. Im 14 and going into highschool, never had a boyfriend. Will i ever get a boyfriend. you will dont worry. Guys will start liking girls like that and will get less intimidated. also chances are you will become more and more girly through highschool. even if you dont youll find someone dont worry

My family wants to get another dog. We already have a Bichon Frise and we would like to get another small dog, maybe smaller that a Bichon Frise. Does any body know of any good dogs, that work well with children, are cute, arent that expensive, and would work well with another small dog? My Bichon Frise is very sweet if that matters for anything. Thanks!

well i would recomend a mixed breed. Everyone ive talked to always says they are the best to have because they tend to be better manners. its not always true but they dont always have all the bad things like (temper, self centered ness) purebreds do. also they are fairly cheap from shelter. The only bad thing is unless they no the father and monther or the monther is really small you dont no the size of the dog. Our first dog was a mixed breed and he was the sweetest dog you could ever ask for. small purbreds tend to be bad with children and self centered and dont do well with other dogs. i hope i helped

okay just a couple of weeks ago i had to go to the hospital fer a few weeks and they found out i have FSGS a form of kidney disease..and now i have to take steroids (not the kind fer sports and making you strong) but they have all these really bad effects on me and body swelling is one of them my face and stomach are really swollen and it makes me feel really uncomfortable taking pictures or going swimming...

should i feel this way??

well ive been on steriods like you for about 7 years. i havent had any swelling in the past couple of years as far as i can remeber so it should go away and its going to be a teperary thing. I dont think you should be uncomfortable because you have to realize there is nothing you can do about it. i am sure you friends understand too so just let go and have fun.

I'm thinking about getting the top of my ear periced does anyone know how much it hurts? and if it is worth getting it done?

well i got it done and it doesnt hurt at first but it hurts alot to sleep on it and even after having it done for 6 monthes down it still hurts a bit from sleep and what not

ok i just got back from my 5 day cheer camp and we stunted almost 24/7 and i am really sore! i've taken advil to try to get it to go away but it doesn't seem to be working! i can barely walk and pick things up its so bad! what are some good ways that you guys use to help the soreness go away? thanx!

Ok..I have reeeally curly hair. I want it to be straight but when I try to straighten it there are 2 problems:
1. It takes me 1 and a half to 2 hours to get it completely straight.
2. My hair only stays straight for a day or overnight..even if I just straightened it.

Are there any easier ways to make my hair straight and make it stay straight for a while?

well the first thing i dont recomend getting it relaxed.. it sorta works but its not worth you money (its like $60) unless you have african american hair. try switching straighteners like i used helen of troy and i went from straigtening my hair in an hour to like 10-15 min. try not showering every day like do it every other day. straigten you hair like partially just so its like wavy and pull it (high pony tail not low) back over night and do the rest in the morning. braid you har after you shower and it will curl less. buy a relaxing kit from like giant eagle because they are only like $5 so if it doesnt work or look nice you not out of you money. blow dry you hair before straigtening it it makes it a little bit frizzier but it cuts down straigtenign time. lastly condition your hair well it makes it easier to work with

uhh gameboy portable tv/dvd player cd player at like toys r us you can buy little like elctronic games if you have someone to do stuff with i like to play simple card games trivia books on tape lots of sleeping. talk/play games on a cell phone. draw write letters to your friends scrapbook

I'm eighteen years old and a high school graduate. I frequently help babysit my younger cousins (ages 2-12) for free or at a low price, and I am fairly used to the quirks, likes and dislikes, of behavior of my relatives.

A family friend has asked me to babysit their 7 (I think 7) year old son for about eight hours this Thursday (I write this on Sunday). I like the kid and he seems to hero-worship me, so I'm fairly certain I'm going to accept. However, he has a reputation for wild behavior, so I am going in guarded.

My problem is, while I've played with him and helped to babysit him before, I've never been the primary babysitter. While my mother will be home that day, I really want to be as self-sufficient as possible.

So, I was looking for some pointers for babysitting non-family. I'm thinking that I'll start him out on cartoons, since he'll be arriving at my house about seven, and break up the rest of the day with semi-healthy snacks every 2-3 hours, and blocks of toys, drawing, and video games. Movies if I get REALLY desperate.

If you could give me tips, crisis management techniques, and ideas for free or low-cost crafts and games, I would greatly appreciate it. Movie rental suggestions are also welcome, although my budget is very small, and my selection is limited to a single small store.

well i dont recomend planning things because it will prob get you annoyed and frustrated. Young kids don't like to follow schedules that much they like to do things when they want to and they tend to get crappy if u don't follow what they want. I think you best bet to to take him to a local park and let him play there as long as you possibly can. also scavenger hunts are a fun idea because they waste alot of time. Your main goal should be to do long activities that will keep him ocupied for the longest stretch of time possible. movies and tv work well but once they start its hard to get away from them. i would recomend saving those for last. Also another good idea is if there is a neighbor around his age invite them over to do stuff. Little kids like baking cookies and cakes and stuff too. Although you want to have heathly things you can buy/make colored cookie dough and have him make shapes and stuff then make them. if you want more ideas im me at dlr jazz machine.

I know that being religious is good and stuff but my mom is forcing me to do communion. But she isnt forcing my older sister! It makes me so mad that i have no choice and she does. I am the middle child so i usually get treated like this. I want it to be my decision if i want to do communion or not becuz i dont like feeling that im forced to do something. Plus our family never goes to church so it doesnt make any sense. She is gonna sign me up next year to go ther on monday nights but im gonna be in ninth grade and it will probably interfere with school and i wont be able to get my hw done. maybe she is doing it because she wishes thats how she could be? the one thing to remeber is not to be negative about it because it could end up being fun and besides in 9th grade there isnt to much homework anyways its alot easier than the other hs grades. Besides maybe for some reason or another god wanted you to go to church and be clothes to him.. youll never find out until you give it a try

Ok my family is very strong believers in Christianity but I believe in Kabbalah (which is very very different). I've never said anything about it b4..I just went along with them and went to church and stuff. Well I guess that because it's never caused a problem before. Now they know that my boyfriend isn't a Christian and they're all like you can't be with him..and see I've been with him as long as I can remember and I love him to death. If I tell them I'm not a Christian I'm really afraid that they'll either ground me forever and treat me like crap or send me to bording school. What should I do? Because I can't go the next two years without my man.

i think it they really love you they will understand. it may be hard for them and they prob will get very mad a first but they will understand they can't force you to believe in something and they will realize that as hard as it is just tell them on day

there isnt a catholic is a chirstian. christian is just the like name for anyone that is catholic methodist ect. like its the main branch of it sorta.
