Hi!
I just got hired to plan a 3-year old's birthday party, and am stuck on games. I already have Simon Says and Red Light Green Light. I also want to do a craft. If it helps, the parents have rented a moonbounce for the event. If possible, I would like to have 1 water game that does NOT soak the kids!! Thanks in advance and I rate!!

It's hard to think of something that has to do with water and doesn't soak the kids. How about an apple bobbing contest- if you do do this, make sure to use a PLASTIC container not metal. I guess you could also do a Marble Pool. Marble Pool is a game in which the kids must try to use their toes to get the marbles from a 'plastic' pool. While explaining, tell the kids that if they purposely fal down or wet themselves with the water, they are disqualified, or out of the game.

Let me know what you think of these ideas. [ squirrell's advice column | Ask squirrell A Question ]

inlovewifnoone answered Saturday April 23 2005, 5:51 pm: Ummm...You could do like a cup game...You get plastic cups and poke hles in them and the kids have to run across a yard and cover the holes with their hands and the cups have water in them, and the first team to fill up their bucket (or whatever you use) first wins...I played it in Elementary for Field Day..lol...Lemme know how it goes.. MeLi<3 answered Thursday April 21 2005, 12:17 am: 3 year-olds should have three to four playmates over, and at this age you might have try a birthday game such as "Who can stack the blocks the highest?" I do not recommend having a clown or playing any games that require a blindfold over a child's eyes such key due to the fact either can scare children at this age. Remember the child has just turned 3, and the playmates are around that age. They are still not able to understand fully structured games very well.
Try playing games that kids will understand..and if its safe buy playdoh and make things or if you live in an area by A.C moore buy little craft toys.. [ MeLi<3's advice column | Ask MeLi<3 A Question ]
sunshine805 answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 11:06 pm: Play musical chairs. Or Hot Potato. Maybe you could have an obstacle course which (in the end)the kids have to jump into one of those inflatable pools. Or you can get one of those slip-and-slides.
Hope I helped!

LilRed094 answered Wednesday April 20 2005, 9:13 pm: i remember when i was little.. if the parent are goin to be there.. you take a tarp and cut a hope in it... hang it up and have the parent or who ever is supervising the party put there face through the hole.. give the kids a bucket on sponges and the throw it at them.. but i might do the for like a 6 yr old.. you could have them play tag.. or have fun and invent a really cool game.. left me know how it works out!
