What to do?
Ok my family is very strong believers in Christianity but I believe in Kabbalah (which is very very different). I've never said anything about it b4..I just went along with them and went to church and stuff. Well I guess that because it's never caused a problem before. Now they know that my boyfriend isn't a Christian and they're all like you can't be with him..and see I've been with him as long as I can remember and I love him to death. If I tell them I'm not a Christian I'm really afraid that they'll either ground me forever and treat me like crap or send me to bording school. What should I do? Because I can't go the next two years without my man.

Okay, im a christian, a strong christian. And i dont see why people put christians down. Im a very down to earth person, i like to have fun and party - but i just know where i need to stop! But its like everybody puts us down because we believe that jesus made us. But yet you dont see other people putting other religions down, and why is that? I think its because people dont know nething about the other religions but everybody knows a little something something about Jesus! And im not trying to be rude but why do you think your parents want you to be a christian? BECAUSE THEY LOVE YOU. Why do you think they dont want you dating a non-christian? Because they LOVE YOU! And if they love you that much, how much do you think Jesus loved you? He died for you and everybody else. But not everybody sees it and i know thats the case. But my job as a christian is to witness and your on here so you should listen to my advice just like you listen to everybody elses. God listens to everything you say wether your pissed at him or very happy with him. He will take care of all your problems if you jsut give it to him. I mean your living here temporarily so you can go to heaven soon. So i mean not everything is gonna be perfect but why do you wanna live a life that is all in your hands and you have to worry about all the time? Give it to God and he'll take care of it, ya know what i mean? Well heres a verse from the bible that i think kinda goes with this.. and not trying to scare you but this is what it says and just think about it..
"But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed." -Deuteronomy 8:19

well my family is christian and i'm atheist but they don't know..so i'm in kind of the same situation..i haven't told them yet either because of the same reasons i dont want them to like sign me up for bible study or something..eww. well maybe your bf could like pretend to have like converted or something around your parents and then when yall graduate hs you could tell them neither of you are then they can't really do anything

not to be mean but i will never understand how someone can grow up in a Christian home and then turn their back on God. You do realize thats what you did. i mean did anything you learned in church sink in. dont you get it. First off I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ. I'm not saying that what you are beileving is wrong because it's my place to tell you what to believe. The Holy Spirit brings truth and the only way to find out and know what teaching is the truth is by coming in contact with the holy spirit. Do you wanna come in contact with the holy spirit? While I have the time I will tell you the truth. There is only one way to get into Heaven. And that's by having Jesus Christ in your heart and living a holy life. There are many other teachings in this world but the devil has only put them here to hide and keep people away from the truth. One day all truth will be known. There will be a day when every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. Jesus loves you so much and he doesn't want you to convert. He wants to come into your heart. Read Revelation 3:20.

i think it they really love you they will understand. it may be hard for them and they prob will get very mad a first but they will understand they can't force you to believe in something and they will realize that as hard as it is just tell them on day

hi. im kinda in the same position...my family memebers are strong believer in christianity..but not i. im what you would call..."agnostic" lol..i havent told them tho..but they know i like to read about other religions..and that im not a true..strong believer in it...
i think you should talk to them about it. tell them you respect what they believe in, and that they should respect your beliefs, and that it shouldnt matter what your religion is, or anyone else's is...

Well, Kabbalah is not exactly something that you can beleive in on its own. Kabbalah is a part of Judaism. As you probably know, Judaism is very different than Christianity. I would suggest doing some more research before saying that you beleive in it.
If you really feel that Judaism is right for you, then you should talk to a rabbi in your community about converting.

Religion is a VERY peRsonal and pRivate matteR. EVERYONE must decide which beliefs they choose to follow, if any at all. If telling them can help you keep him, I am DEFINITELY suggesting that you tell them how it is, ya know??
