neonxspork answered Tuesday May 31 2005, 12:55 am: it really depends how many kids and their ages. i usually charge about 3-5 dollars an hour. some parents like to pay just a lump & not by the hour. i have one family that just pays me $40 dollars whenever i come while others will pay by the hour. most parents are flexible and will ask you because most dont know either. just keep your prices reasonable. if they are too high most parents wont ask you to babysit again. thinkpink03 answered Sunday May 29 2005, 11:32 am: You should charge $5 per hour. You get enough and parents dont think its that much. But if you want extra moolah, tell the parents that you can charge $5 for weekdays and $7 for weekends because most parents go out on weekends.
Julie174 answered Thursday May 19 2005, 7:08 pm: you should charge about $2.15 for kids over 8 and about $3.00 for kids 7 and under. Hope i helped!! send me more questions please!! lol.

OrangeChikn answered Wednesday May 18 2005, 10:10 pm: Depends on how many kids and how long. The people I babysat for always just paid me what they felt I earned. If they ask you what you charge though, suggest about $8.00 an hour.
Karen answered Wednesday May 18 2005, 9:52 pm: It depends on the child(ren) you want to babysit. Usually, most babysitters charge around $5.00 and higher but right now, it's around less than $10.00 per hour. It's up to you on whether how much you want to charge per hour.
