i need help in my spirtul life with god. im a christian an all that but i wan to grow mor with god!
how can i get closer to god?

i am having that same problem!! just read the bible and try to understand it...pray every nite b4 u go 2 bed, and ask God how you can get to know him bettter..and he should let you know somehow...he is God and he wwill set it rite!! thats wut i've dun!! and repent of your sins...and al that 2. i would ask your pastor or youth group leader..hope it helps!! GROW CLOSER TO GOD!!i will pray 4 ya!

Every body struggles with their relationship to God from time to time. My suggestion is that you set aside a time each day that's just for Him and have a devotion and prayer time with Him.

Well the first word that comes to mind when you say that is pryer.That is the best way to get close to God talk to hima bout how you feel what you think about your friend and family.Evrything.And read the bible do you go to church?if not try that.

i would suggest to get involved with a church or a youth group! read your bible more often and pray to God, he's really the one that should give you the answer, not a bunch of teens and adults that dont know the future! God can tell u everything if you listen, he most likely wont tell you in words, but maybe when you read the bible he'll guide u to a verse. God works wonders on people like you! well, it looks like you have got the first part of growing closer to God down! the fact that you want to get closer, is awesome. most christian teens are fine with being a christian but they dont live like it. good for you! what you need to do is..
1. check your friends. you need good solid christians as friends if you want to grow closer to God.
2. be in your Bible. if you arent reading the book God gave us as christians to live by, you wont be able to grow closer to him.
3. go to church... FOR CHURCH. most teens go to church as a social event, but you should go to actually learn. plan social events for after church.
* most important PRAY TO GOD ask him for the strength to get through the week. he will grant it for you.

well i have by going to my friends church we are 2 slightly dif religions but they had a conteperary mass with like tons of music and a band and it was a cool way to be with good

welp you could pray more, go 2 church as often as you can , read the bible ( reading exodus rite now:] ) & you could get involved in your church by doing things just for the joy of & it will all pay off if you are right in your heart :)

Start getting really involved with your Church. Go on sunday nights and sunday mornings.. if you are a teen go to your church's youth group, start reading the bible more often, get a devotion book to do every day, and just pray to God and ask him to help you out!.. If you dont enjoy your church.. start visiting other places and find a church you really enjoy!

Best thing to do is not to try. God is all around you, you can't be any closer to him. Focus on your life and yourself, and others around you. God's always with you no matter what you do.

i always find that im never close enough to God. the best thing to do is to pray as often as possible...it doesn't have to be every minute of everyday. read your Bible and have that desire to want to know Him more, be obiedient, do things unto Him and not yourself, give God all the glory.

I am A christian Too and i sometimes find it very hard to stay close with God at times. You should pray about it and god will answer your prayers. You could Go to a local Church More and you could stay away from sins such as Swearing,Jealousy, and Sex. Try Reading the Bible. These are things that will help you become closer with God. well i have a couple of answers to your question:
a- you can pray more often
b- go to church more
c- stop sinning [as much as you can] on a daily basis
d- lay off swearing [if you do]
e- be more kinder to your parents, respect them and everyone around you really
but well.. to tell you the truth there`s really no *real* way to become a better christian. really all you have to do is live life as pure as possible, love on another, and keep you faith alive.

you know whats funny... i was asking that exact question to my family the other day. they couldnt help me so i went to my friend and she told me strait up what i should do. she told me that god loves to hear from me, and he loves to hear from you too. he wants you to do the right things. first, do the right thing all the time and when you dont know what the right thing is, then think wwjd(what would jesus do?). next pray about constant things, like thank you prayers and prayers asking for help.

The first step is prayer. Stop and pray- tell God of your desire to get closer to him, ask him to help you, etc. God is always there, and he listens and answers all our prayers.
Other steps-
*Start reading the Bible more. Preferably every day. I like to keep my Bible by my bed and read at night. Other people I know start their day with Bible study. Whenever works for your schedule.
*A good devotional book or Bible study book can help give you focus. Ask Christian friends or your pastor for reccommendations. Or go to any Christian bookstore- one of the store clerks can probably give you suggestions.
*Keep a prayer journal. Write down your worries, concerns, asking God for help. Write down your joys, too, and questions. If you're also reading the Bible, you can write your thoughts and what stood out in your daily reading.
*Go to church regularly. If not Sunday services, then youth group. Being around other Christians is a great way to grow in your faith. My high school had a student-led prayer group that I went to weekly and learned a lot at.
*Get a mentor. Someone who is a strong Christian themself who can pray for you and support you in your journey. A friend, someone at church, a family member- anyone you feel close to.
Basically it all comes down to a few things: prayer, reading the Bible, and Christian fellowship. The most important of these is prayer.
I love to think of God as one of my best friends. Sure, he's also the all powerful creator of the universe. But he loves me unconditionally, always listens, I can tell him anything, he's always there.
Somehow, comparing praying to God to talking with my friends makes him seem closer, rather than praying to him up in the clouds and hoping he chooses to answer.

Hey, it's really great that you wanna get closer to God!! He's already working in you spiritually if you have that desire. If you haven't already, start going to church on Sunday mornings and if you can on Wednesday or Friday nights! (whenever they are offered) I don't know if your church has a youth group, but that helped me a lot in my faith. Ask one of your friends who's also a Christian to be your partner and keep you accountable for things like reading your Bible, praying, etc. Just bring all your requests to God and trust Him, and soon, you'll be closer to Him than you could have imagined!
