Hey, I'm Elana... I'm 15 years old and I love to help people.. I know I know, everyone says that on this site, but I can be pretty good at giving advice sometimes. I'm into lots of sports, tennis, softball, and my new thing... Track, haha... I also dance, play piano (obviously) my saxophone (love it) and go online... A LOT! lol Random stuff about me: I'm 5'1 and a 1/2".. I LOVE music..favorite bands are: switchfoot, green day, rooney, foo fighters, stone temple pilots, and any jazz music, my friends and family mean so much to me, things don't always go the way I want them to..(when does it ever work like that?) bowling rocks my world!! haha even if I suck! :) I'm extremely energetic and bouncy as my friends know, and I like to laugh, at anything...

advice
i have told her how i feel, i have asked her for a better reason to stop liking me and she tells me she doesnt know...she says she doesnt like me for my personality even though she only knows the one i have around her. i have a different personality around her because i dont think she would like the one i have with my friends because we are all a bunch of stupid bastard skaters who piss everyone off, someone told me that the minute you get her to show her real smile is when youve captured her heart..only thats the problem i get her to smile and laugh and everything all the time and she doesnt even like me. obviously if she doesnt like the personality i have with her then she wont like my real one, i dont have a very good history with girls and its always i almost go out with them and then they stop liking me..the new guy that she likes is going to ruin her reputation cuz he does drugs and smokes and everything..she told me that its not my looks that she cant picture me as her boyfriend, its my personality, i have been trying to get her to like me so much lately and i dont know what to do still, i have made a move, i have done things with her, i have told her how i feel honestly, she hates my friends because they dont know her and theyre a bunch of dicks and i dont even like them that much but if i wasnt friends with them she would be the only friend i have and yea...and they hate her..they think she treats me bad and stuff but she doesnt, she tells me im the biggest flirt shes ever met and i cant help but think that she isnt ever going to like me again..i cant get over her so please dont tell me to, its kind of hard for me to do it just like that..i hate it so much when you ask out a girl and they say "oh your sweet and all but no" and its like SHUT UP just say no ur ugly or no w/e else..and whatever happened to girls liking skaters? all of a sudden they all go for ghetto kids and preps..i just dont understand, what is so bad about me that someone can just stop liking me suddenly? i dont get why just once, things cant work out for me..she is the most beautiful girl in the school from my perspective, some other people may not hink so but i do, and she is really nice and we are very close to eachother and now she made friends with some slutty girls and im afraid shell act like them and drink and stuff because you act like your friends, and she thinks theres nothing wrong with drinking but she doesnt, i on the otherhand think that you shouldnt be drinking at 14 years old, and shes so smart, shes in like all honors classes, and i think this other guy is using her to like get laid or somthing cuz i dont understand if he goes out with other 10th graders all the time why does he have to go out with a 9th grader, especially the one i love, and i said to her, why go out with a sophomore when there are plenty of freshman who are perfectly fine if not better for you (me) and yea so my screenname is ScooteySkater90 im me if you want to know anything else..
Oh hun I'm so sorry... this situation is so much like one of my friends it's scary...Well right now i'm trying to help him through it but there's really not much you can do.. I would try and talk to her about her reputation and stuff and how you know your friends are dicks... Maybe tell her that you really care about her and you don't want to see her get hurt.. and yes i think drinking at 14 is wrong too.. many of my friends don't though... I really don't know what else to say.. this is tough stuff... but i'll try to IM you and help you some more...

im 14/m and i am in love with this girl. she used to like me a lot and then she said over a few days she started having mixed feelings. she had liked me like a week after she started going out with my friend and she dumped him but didnt say why or something like that. i told her she was beautiful and that i love her. we have mostly similar common interests. we have made out and stuff and we were very close. at homecoming during the last slow song i asked her out..she she doesnt know and the next day she said she doesnt like me anymore..that was like a month ago and now she likes this sophomore who i think is using her. she told me one of the reasons she didnt like me anymore was she couldnt picture me as her boyfriend..i saw the guy she likes today and i was thinking WTF!?! you can picture him but not me....i know more about her than anyone and i am in love with her. i think about her all day and i found out on halloween night that she had snuck out with the guy and went to a park and made out for a few hours and on monday he gave her a bunch of hickeys and made out and everything and it keeps running through my head...ever since homecoming i have been depressed and i just wish she liked me still, my friends tell me she will but i dont believe them, i always thought that a guy who treats a girl like gold and devotes all of his time to her and everything was exactly what a girl wants..sorry this has been so long...answer and ill tell you the rest if you want to hear..if you do say yes in the beginning of your answer AND PLEASE HELP ME I AM SO CONFUSED..I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
Ohh... you sound exactly like someone i know.. (i won't say who, cause he might read this) well i want to hear the rest of the story but right now i'll try to explain some things... Some girls are just really confused... I don't think she was ready for a bf as serious as you were trying to be.. telling her you loved her and all that. Not that you did the wrong thing at all! I think she just got scared.. so when she thought about it she said "I'll take the easy way out and say i don't like him anymore" That doesn't nessecarily (sp?) mean it's true...i think she still likes you.. Give her some time and maybe she'll come around.. if she doesn't though then maybe she wasn't really who you thought she was... Sorry if this is harsh! i took this test on the internet because i have always thought i had add. i've never told anyone this b4 though so i was a little scared when i was takeing the test. im only 13 years old and it said if u chose 8 or more out of 20 of the questions then u are highly too have add. well i got 10/20 and i dont know if i should tell my mom what should i do?
Definitely tell you mom.. i took a test like that too once in a magazine and i got 6 out of 10 answers... I don't think i have a severe case of ADD though so those tests aren't always right. Ask your mom if she could take you to a doctor and get diagnosed for it because you're having trouble concentrating and stuff like that... she'll understand, and she'll be glad you spoke up.

ok i been with my boyfriend for a while n we have alot of ups and downs...i really love him...and i no i do...but he is confusing me with this whole "i love u thing" i really wanna say ti to him soooo bad! and he sed it to me first....but it was n my voicemail...he left a mssg for me and he was like i love u..bye and like when we talk on the fone he wont say it....only on mssgs! and in person he dont say it either....its really confusing me! what can i do? do i say it first? helllpp wat does this mean
Well if it was me.. I would just say it to him at the end of a phone conversation... just be like "love ya" or "i love you" and see what he says.. but if you really aren't the type of person to say it first wait him out.. he might just be extremely shy! And it really does sound like he loves you so just wait.. he'll come around.

i feel like im so clueless all the time i dont know whats going on ever with my freinds and i kinda feel like im invisible and sometimes i feel like my freinds arent really my friends and im just there with them and not really freinds i dont have a best freind i thought all my friends were my best freinds but i dont think so what do i do? i feel like moving to another school but that wont do anything so ive just decided to be miserable....
Aww don't decide to be miserable!! I know how this feels but maybe things aren't so bad... look really hard and try to find a friend in someone... it might be someone you'd never really thought of... I doubt your parents will let you move to another school (i've had those thoughts before) so try to make the best of what you have... Does any guy here have bad luck with relationships??? Cuz i am one of em. Ive had a g/f during the summer, not anymore we where way to busy and couldnt do it anymore and plus she lived a lil while away and then i tried with another girl and she just kept blowing me off and then with another girl who never likes to call bak. I dunno i must be in the worst month with girls or something and no its not that im not confident in myself or ne thing like that or physical looks or anything. Just a normal guy looking for a girl. Ok, There is this boy, Lets call him J, Well J is a good friend Of mine, Well there is this girl called Alissa, she is sorta my friend but she likes him because he is hot and because he is a prep and because me and my friend Brandi like him, so she thinks she can have him, Well she is going to ask him out and I am not going to do anything about it and I warned J that I will hate him if he gos out with her and also why she wants him. He said he doesn't know what he is going to say if she asks him, I dont want this to happen...Anything I can do?
Hmm... well first off are you sure that Alissa wants to use J like that? Maybe she really does like him... but I would just make sure first. And secondly talk to J.. Maybe you should tell him that you like him.. (Unless you don't want to! lol) but if you don't want to ruin a friendship just explain to him why you don't like her. Oh and talk to Alissa too... But really there's not much you can do.. you should trust that J knows who's right for him..

alright well I think my friend is going anerxic but I'm not sure..like shes eating alil bit but not as much as before..does anyone know like some signs of it? or like anything she might be eating instead of her regular food..? like she would never make herself throw up because she has braces and an expander and when she threw up when she was sick she thought it was the nastiest thing because it was all like stuck up in it..so if you know anything about it like signs or symptons please help!
People who are anorexic usually say they're fat very often.. and yes they don't usually eat at all... Also being tired i think is one of the symptoms....If she's skipping breakfasts and lunches I would talk to her... Let her know you care about her health and you would never want to see her hurt herself like this.. Good Luck!

My friend has this bad problem with flirting with people and not even realizing that she's flirting with them. For example, she told my boyfriend that she thought he was cute, started giggling, and blushed. My boyfriend was rather...irritated...by this, as he can not stand my friend. Whenever I confront her about it, she swears to God she hasn't flirted. How can I get her to see that she really has a problem with this? It just irritates me to see her flirting with my boyfriend. x_x Please help?
Augh i know how this is.. I too had/have a friend like this (she's gotten better) Whenever I would like someone she'd flirt with him even though she didn't like him. Eventually I just confronted her and you should do the same thing.. Just sit her down and explain things like " I know you don't think you're flirting but when you say my bf's cute that's sort of wrong.. he doesn't like that at all and neither do I... and then when you lie about it it hurts me even more" maybe you could get a few of your other friends to help you talk to her.. I also said to my friend... "If a tree had eyes you'd flirt with it!!" lol i don't know if any of this helped at all but i really hope it did! Good Luck!

What do I do when my anger is so built up that I feel I could hurt my friends with the pain of it all?
Well when I get really mad i do what brit said... I write people letters but i never give it to them... you could also keep a journal... but having built up anger really isn't good for you... maybe you should try to talk to someone you trust about what's bothering you... I used to have a lot of built up anger too... I started opening up more and now my problem's passed... if you need to talk IM me...

ok, well, i was babysitting the other night for these people and they were each going off to do their own thing. well, the mom left first, and the dad was supposedly leaving pretty quickly after, but instead he hung around for awhile. i was like, ok, um..why am i here if youre gonna sit around? well, i soon found out. he wasnt going anywhere. he put his kids in thier bedroom while i was cleaning something up, and he came up behind me and started grabbing me. he told me that if i yelled, hed kill me. well, i punched him where the sun dont shine and he let me go, but im sure that if i hadnt got away, he would have attacked me. but now i dont know what to do. he didnt rape me or anything, so should i really tell someone about it? all he did was grab me. they cant put you in jail for that, can they? im just wondering what i need to do about him....im supposed to go babysit again next week, and i cant exactly tell her why i dont wanna do it..so...HELP PLEASE
you need to tell someone about this! it's a serious thing.. he sexually harassed you and threatened to cause you harm.... it's a really good thing you knew how to defend yourself... but yes you should tell a parent or the police about this incident. And if you want to tell the woman why you don't want to go back there, or make an excuse that you're busy or something... you can't let this go though hun.

Kevin1986 here again. I've been hearing a lot about guys only look at looks and everything like that. Lemme set the record straight here. If a girl is hott,she's a lot more likely to get asked out,true enough. But very few guys will tolerate a hot bitch. We're much more likely to go for the average looking girl with a great personality. I get pissed when we're made to look the bad guy and not every guy is as shallow as you describe. And besides,who are you more likely to ask out,Brad Pitt or the nice fat guy down the street? Stop being so hypocritical.

Hmm.. this is a really tough question... It'd be easier to answer if i knew a little more information but i'll try my best.
Well when friends don't let each other know things they start to drift apart... My friend and I stopped telling each other things and now there's like a wall up when we talk to each other. It almost feels like nothing before that ever happened.. Like we're strangers on a busy street.. anyway.. most people only let one person know what's really going on in their lives so nothing gets blown outta proportion. And honestly if everyone did open their eyes a little more, we'd see things no one's ever seen before. and we'd understand so many things, so much better.. but most people are too worried about themselves to focus on things like this... anyway sorry this is so long and i don't really think i helped but i tried... leave one for me if you want...

No no no hun... don't ever have sex with a guy if you're not ready... Never be pressured into something like this! Sex is a serious thing and you should only do it with someone who you're comfortable with. Oh and the saying is: " Guys think about sex like every 15 seconds" or something like that.. guys will be guys but there is one out there for you, who will love you for who you are and not for what he wants from you... so wait... he might not be someone you've ever thought of... for now though don't rush into things... and remember you're beautiful just the way you are...
