I have been there, dont that. Of course, that was in the early 80's. LOL. Be yourself around him. Don't hold back and don't let him know you're shy and scared. Just act like you can get any man to fall inlove with you. I know it sounds kinda... old. But, take it from me. It really works. A guy stares when he has something to stare AT! He is staring at you! Q: how can i be more confident? i'm really ugly, shy and boring - i have nothing to live for really, i wont ever get married or have a life. seeing as i look bad, i want to get more confident. the thing is, i read something and it said write a list of what you like about yourself. i cant do that, i hate everything about myself lol =/ and plus i'd feel really bigheaded if i write good things about myself, that's why i hate myself so much, so i don't look like i'm self-obesssed or something. please help, thanks xo

When I was 13, I HATED myself. I hated my nose. My nose was so huge that I was afraid to kiss my boyfriend because I might have knocked him down with my huge nose! LOL. Everybody (no matter how "hot" or beautiful they may e) hates SOMETHING about themselves. Some people hate their hair, nose, skin, feet, ANYTHING. My nose was so embarassing to "carry around" through middle school. People called me names like "Pinochio" and I hated it. Almost every day, I went home crying but I didn't let my mom and sister know. Do you know what I did? I didn't write a list of what I like about myself because I feel the same way about myself.
My family TRIED to help but they said I was beautiful but I thought they only said that because they were my family. They had to say that. Make up doesn't make you prettier. You're still the same person even with it on. To become more confident, I listened to my family and friends. I told off the people who made of my nose and they NEVER did it again! I lived with it. I hated myself. You WILL get married and you WILL hve a life with beautiful kids and you'll be VERY beautiful. Just listen to the people who say you're pretty. Don't ignore them and say, "You're just saying that." You have to believe them because nobody is going to lie. (By the way, listen to someone who has a history of honesty. Personally, I think that being a tomboy is cool and that is CERTAINLY not a problem. My little niece is fourteen and a tomboy. She was going through the same thing. She likes boys, though. She's (what do you young people call it these days?) boy-crazy. She talks about boys 24/7 but can never get oine of her own. I'm going to tell you what I told her. "You don't have to change your personality to get boys to like you. You don't have to make yourself girly to get boys to like you. Boys will come to you. There are probably 5 or 6 boys that like you but they're shy." You are not imitating boys. You're being yourself and if you keep doing that, boys will be lined up just to skake your hand. LOL. Well, best of luck. P.S. It's DEFINITLY not a bad thing that you like sports. In fact, in high school, guys like that in a girl! :-)

There really is nothing you can do make you not scared. You are scared and nervous because you REALLY love and care about this guy. You may have cared fo your other boyfriends but... not like this. It's different. You like him. He likes you. Why not? You guys could actually have chemistry between you and him. You'll never know the outcomes unless try it. Try to make a more sexual move on him. I guarentee you that he is thinking this too. He is saying right now, "I want to kiss her." He's scared too! You can't expect him to make ALL the moves. Besides, you've known the guy for two years? Q: I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on a very good straitener and if so where can u get it? My hair is dirty blond, very thick, notty, and wavy.

Well, it depends on where you live. Here, in Texas, we have TNT but their straiteners are $200 each. I got one and it works so well. Really it does. The best place to buy one that REALLY works is the fanciest barber shops! :-) Good luck!

I think you should arrange a day where it's free for all three of you and sit down and be a kind of judge and sort out all their problems. Q: Ok, I have a friend, let's call him Nick. I went out with Nick August through September. Well, he broke up with me because he got into smoking, drinking, dipping, and stealing again and he didn't want me to get started and make me all freaked and stressed. Me and him always talk, well used to at least. Now the only time we talk basically is in the mornings at school for breakfast. Now he has this girlfriend, let's call her Samantha. She's a total whore and they've had sex 3 times that I know of and they've done some sexual things with eachother. When I was going out with Nick he was still a virgin, and now all the sudden hes doing all this stuff every day. He's obviously gotten well over me but I still like him a lot and no-one knows that I do. The very few times that we talk it's always Samantha this Samantha that. And everytime he says anything about her it breaks my heart but he has no idea. I just don't know what to do to get over him, I'm so confused and lost. Please give me some sort of an idea. The reason why you still like him is because you WERE going out with him and believe me, it's totally normal. If he doesn't love you, he's moved on to other girls. The reason why he's having sex with this one girl is because she's badder and a whore, you're not and trust me, thats a good thing. You don't need to be a whore just so guys will like you. Stay yourself, O.K? Samantha obviously doesn't know who she's dealing with. I mean, you'r e obviously an intelligant young lady who know her way around guys hearts. Listen to yours. O.K? What do YOU think YOU should do? Move on! Go to other guys. He may not love you but make him jealous. He'll come around when he pays that whore and she'll break up with him and he'll be lonely wishing he had you but you'll be long gone with another guy! It all works out, I promise.

He is an idiot. If he wants girls like samantha, he's not worth it at all. You need to influence him that you are moved on so he'll think that you don't love him anymore and he'll want you back but it's up 2 u whether you take ihm back! theres plaenty more fish in the sea, sweetie! You really want my opinion? O.K. Here's what I think. I think you need to stay with your girlfriend. You love her and you have to get away from your ex. Thats why you guys broke up. Because you WANTED to see other people or something like that and you WANT to be with someone new. Now you are and you want to blow it. I say: Stay with your girlfriebd. Q: Now I know most people say "Oh I hate school!", but really, I do. I get made fun of so much but I try to brush it off because I don't want to seem like a weak person. One girl and a few of her friends call me a dike whenever they see me. I don't know why, I'm not; I don't know what gave them that idea. One kid calls me fat and makes fun of the clothes I wear. For one, I'm not fat... I'm not the skinnest person ever, but I sure as hell am not fat. Then theres this other guy, who also makes fun of the clothes I wear. For instance today I had a Sid Vicious shirt on and he harrassed me the whole way home about it. "Oh my god he killed his girlfriend" "Sid Vicious is so gay" "I hate the sex pistols" "You're a loser if you listen to them" I really have had it and I'm really sick of school, I just can't put up with it anymore and have no idea of what to do. I want to drop out so bad, I just can't put up with people and there stupid jokes. Anybody know what I can do about this. Hey, Kate. I have some advice for you. I know many people have already told you this but... honestly... they're doing because they want to be cool and they're jealous because they can't have what they want... and that's for you to be miserable. Don't give up and don't let them see you crying. Come back at them. Once they see you're tough, I guarentee you, they'll be bowing dow to your greatness. Trust me. It'll work. They're immature losers who have nothing else better to do. Ignore them. They are losers. You, on the other hand, are a very cool person and they just don't take the time to figure that out. Don't worry. Everything's going O.K. I was afraid of school. I hated it but... I stood up to those bullies and let me tell you... I whooped their butts like crazy. They have never talked to me since. Of course, that was 22 years ago but.. hey, even back then, people fought. LOL. Do your best on keeping your chin up. And remember... DONT LET THEM SEE YOU CRY!!! Bye, hun. So, you know he loves you and you love him, right? So, get him something SHOWING that you love him. Take him somewhere fancy. Q: Hi, I was just browsing the net when I came across this! So heres the
thing, I'm sure it's over told, I really like this guy at my school. I
find that he's hard to read though, like somedays he'll act like he's
really into me, and likes me, but others he doesn't say a word and acts
uninterested. So, here's what makes me think he is; He teases me in a
flirty way sometimes, and seems to like it when I laugh. He remembers
stuff that we've talked about before, even if I said it like in front
of the class, or mumbled it under my breath. This one time in class, he
was talking and when he said the word "amazing" he was definitly
looking at me. Sometimes he'll smile at me in the halls. When I needed help
with the copier he helped me, and seemed sort of nervous, more so
because it was just us, rather than around all of his freinds and class
mates. I also think he might have been staring at me a couple of times,
it's yet to be proven. But, we really have no connection outside of
school. Somedays, it's like he hasn't noticed me in the room, or
sneaking looks at him, I want him to see me! I've been flirting as
discretly yet noticably as humanly possible! I think he's noticed, but I
think maybe were both being to shy. I would ask him out, but I really
don't want to be rejected from him. I really like him so much. I don't
know too much about him either, I know that he hunts, likes fish (as in
pets), plays football, and loves poker and card games. He knows that
I'm in Tae Kwon Do, and am a vegetarian, and also that I've volunteered,
he even said I was special when I said I volunteered without a
sarcastic tone. I think he likes me too, but he's making it hard, or maybe I'm
not reading him right, either way, please help!

F.Y.I- I would NEVER make fun. I will help. My dad has the EXACT same problem. The kind of deodarant that he uses is "X-Treme Sports" and it's totally anti-perspirent so you won't smell a thing except the way a man SHOULD smell. Then, you can go to school with a shirt off! LOL! Hope I helped.

I think that you guys are best friends and all but she's just going through a phase where she wants to be alone.
