Q: recently i have found myself connected to someone. she and i share very unusual things with one another. we can feel when the other is distressed in anyway or in pain. i can feel her heart beat over my own. it does not matter how far or near we are to each other. i feel as if i have known her always. we are close friends and i don't want to lose that, but these feelings are really hurting on the inside. is there a way to stop them with out me seperating from her? is there something i can do? also, i'm 14 years old, she's 13. any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Q: I've known my bestfriend since 7th grade (we're now both juniors) and we're the closest two friends can get and I love her to death.

Our freshman year, we'd always hear about this girl Meagan and how slutty and bitchy she is. Meagan is a grade ahead of us. Well, 2nd semester of freshman year my bestfriend had a class with her but only for about a week because she got switched out.

Last year, my sophomore year, I was in a class with her for the whole year and at fisrt I didn't like her because of the things I've heard but we started talking and she wasn't that bad. Yeah, some of the rumors were true but she was still a good, fun friend. Now we're really good friends. Not as good as my bestfriend and I, but nevertheless, friends.

So whenever I'm with my bestfriend, and I talk about Meagan, she gives me this disgusted look and talks smack about her. I tell her to shut up and not talk about people she doesn't know and then that's the end of it.

Meagan and I are going to a concert in July and I asked my bestfriend if she wanted to come with us because I know she likes that band. Well, she told me that if Meagan is going, she isn't.

How can I get her to stop being so judgmental and at least try to actually meet her?

try and get them to hang out

and just say "okay, you dont even know her, so dont try and judge her, a lot of the shit people say isnt true."

Q: My friend has always dated someone younger than herself. And she is again. And liking it. And she is a freshman in highschool and is dating this 8th grader. And just today she told me that she might be pregnant. But shes really not sure: they did it once two weeks ago and they were protected and all, but the numbers say that condoms dont work all the time and she hasn't gotten her peroid.
Could having sex just mess up the time it comes? Or is it more likely shes pregnant?

I mean p.e. is uber cool with her (scratch Ms. Mahony, of course.) and like one time i was on the phone with her and she was telling me how she fell down the stairs so I acted it out and then i fell down the stairs and I broke both of my ears. also, so should realize breaking your ear is impossible

Q: I've been singing for about 7 years now, and I think it's time I started taking voice lessons. My mom insists that I have no natural talent. She's only heard me once, and at the time, I was so nervous that I didn't sound good. My mom said that if I had natural talent, then it would show up when I was a little kid. However, my choir teacher tells me I'm an incredible singer, and she's the type that never lies to make someone feel good. When I was a little kid, my chest voice wasn't so great and I didn't know how to use my head voice. I'm 13 right now, and a mezzo-soprano (though I have almost a three octave range). So do you have to be talented as a little kid to be a talented singer?

no, you dont have to be talented as a little kid
and whether the talent is natural, or taught it doesnt matter if you are that good

Q: ok so lately a lot of people have been talking about a show or movie called high school musical. what is it about? is it like grease or something? i've never even heard of it but people around school seem to know all about the thing. what tv station is it on too?

Q: I am in a play for school and its called "Poetry Coffee House". I need to wear a costume thats like from that period where they went to coffee houses and read poetry and snapped for applause. also when they talked like(this is a line in the play): Hey chaz, what you folks are gonna' see tonight is like.... alot.
I dont think we are supposed to dress like hippies but all our director said so far is the boys should wear barrets. please help i desperatly need it!

My school's choir is doing a cabaret show and I have a solo in the song "Popular" from the play Wicked. I can sing the solo very well but I have a problem with singing infront of my class. I can sing infront of other people just not infront of the class. I need to practice with everyone so I can get it down perfectly. So, my question is... How do I get rid of my nerves or atleast be able to sing without a shakey voice? I try to tell myself they will judge me no matter how I sound but it doesn't seem to help.

ah, trust me, you arent the only one.

try at first with your eyes closed, like they arent there (if your teacher lets you)

if you know other people like you, and you have the solo almost perfect, dont even worry if people say stuff about it.

and if people make fun of you, they are just jealous. :)

if you get good at the "red leather" try adding on to it, it is a warm up i do with my vocal coach
"red leather yellow leather, good blood, bad blood" faster each time

Wicked, is NOT easy to start with, i am in 8th grade now, i have been in chorus since 5th grade, and i have a vocal coach, and i still cant get songs right.

ask a chorus teacher at your school for some good beginner stuff, and if you can, join choir.

As for breathing, if sitting, sit feet flat on the floor, back away from the chair, head up, neck striaght, and breathe with your diaphram.

if your shoulders move up when you breath, you are doing it wrong.

Q: I need some singing tips.

What is "head voice" and "nasal breathing"

How do you know you're singing like that or if you're singing any good?

head voice is like your upper range, people cant usually sing out as much with that, espeically altos

nasal breathing is breathing with your nose, not through your chest, pushing through the diaprghm

i just read TKAM (thats what my teacher calls it for short) in english class (8th grade, im 14)

it starts off kinda slow, but it is AMAZING!

it is about this girl, Scout, her older brother, Jem, their father, Attics, and what happens to them over a few years.

Atticus is a laywer, and a lot of it is about a case he has to take on.

With the kids, it is about them going to school, and in the summers, their friend Dill who comes to town.

It's set in the 1920's, but it is AMAZING!

people have said energy bars are better. but do u have any suggestions?

well, my brother plays both, and he says cause of hitting in ice, the bars can make you puke.

try red bull or monster.

also, drink gaterade or propell instead of water, because it keeps you engergized.

Q: So this weekend I have a hockey tournament and Im playing 6 games in 2 days. But thats not the problem. It takes 1 hour to play a hockey game and I will be playing 2 games with only 10 minutes of down time. Yeah, and its tiring to play! I'm going to do this 3 times--- 2 games on friday, 4 on sunday with 10-20 minutes of downtime between each pair. OK. thats not making sence. But all I know is that my coach told me to get energy drinks. Which are really good ones that work pretty fast, like within 1 hour or so? I'll RATE!

Q: so i party alot and so does my boyfriend and recently i walked off with my friends boyfriend and my boyfriend freaked out like saying he wasnted to kill her boyfreind so i broke up with my boyfriend ))who i really liked(( in front of everybody like cusing at him and the works and so i left ((this was a 3 am ) and he called a million times that night and the next day and he still thinks we going out but i clearly stated ITS OVER but i dont thin he gets that> how should i tell him i want to be friends nothing more and also its hard because we are going to six flags on saturday with his family ugh what should i do?

Q: I have a best friend whom I've known since the 7th grade, and one of the things we promised each other in our ring of friends is that "Friends come first always before boyfriends." However, I feel that this best friend of mine is not keeping this promise. Besides being close friends with me, she also had this really close guy-friend since the 7th grade, who has now become her boyfriend. I know that I should understand that its okay for her to be closer to him because they were close before, and are now in a relationship together, but I feel hurt that its against what we promised... Like, she would always, always stress it to to us that friends are always first, but this now seems hypocritical... We rarely talk on the phone anymore, or talk at all because she's always spending time with her boyfriend... What can I do to repair this friendship, or to understand???

Just say "hey we should hang out this weekend" if she has plans say "i really miss you, we never hang out anymore, and i was really hoping we could hang out soon"

Q: I have been really good friends witht this chick for a long time but then she got drunk and something happened one night and she did something that i thought would never happen, she flashed me. Q: In May of 2004 my sister graduated, and I met a guy she graduated with. I thought he was totally hot and started to have a crush on him.
Well, I couldn't get ahold of him after graduation and now two years down the road I go to a party and see him.
Things happen and I make out with him. Well now time has progressed and we are friends with benefits.
I don't mind it .. he is hot, cool and stuff.
But now lately he has been calling me alot. ALOT.
It's not booty calls either, he calls and we talk. I invite him over for that reason and he doesnt come over. I'm confused. We flirt alot and there is obvious chemestry between us, but isnt that just what friends with benefits are?
