ok so lately a lot of people have been talking about a show or movie called high school musical. what is it about? is it like grease or something? i've never even heard of it but people around school seem to know all about the thing. what tv station is it on too?

Yeah its like a modernday grease but a little bit different. Because in the movie they are trying out for the drama play and it's completely unnormal for the school so it's hard for the entire school to accept them tryingo out for it. Yeah thats bascially it but it's an AWESOME movie.

she ends up at his school
they like each other, some stuff happens, and they get togehter
(i like comparing it to grease haha)
but it is awesome

I love love love love love love love that movie!! =] Zac Efron & Vanessa Anne Hudgens. It's about this guy who's a jock and is afraid to sing and then he does sing with this girl.

High School Musical is on Disney Channel. Now I personally like the movie, but then I generally love all musicals. I do know some people who don't like it though.
The movies about these two kids, Gabriella and Troy. Now I don't get what happens at the beginning that much, but they sing karoke on like a vacation or something, not knowing each other. Summer is over and they separate. Gabriella goes to a new school, when Troy is the basketball superstar, and she is the nerdy math girl. She changes trys out for a play with him, and it turns the whole school upside down.

It's like Grease as far as the fact that they are both musicals, but other than that, not really. Well, I guess there are other elements that make them similiar (like guy meets girl who his friends don't approve of).
The others explained the plot but the basis of it is to say that you can be whatever you want to be. It's kinda corny and I'm not like obsessed with it but the music is always great to turn on and scream...er, sing...to.

high school musical... i absolutely love that movie! it's on disney channel.. and no it's not really like grease. It's about a really hot guy named Troy who plays basketball and meets this girl Gabriella who is really smart at a party on vacation where they are chosen to sink a kareoke duet together and find that they both have amazing voices. then, gabriella ends up being a new student at troy's school and they reunite and audition for the school musical, which ends up being a big deal to the entire school because they can't mix w/ other cliques and this girl, Sharpay, and her brother Ryan are always the leads in the play. so it's all about finding who you are and stuff. it's really cute though and it's got some catchy tunes

It's on Disney channel, and in my honest opinion, it's terrible. I watched this tepid musical for maybe 30 minutes before I had to turn it off. If you're a fan of brainless teen entertainment, go for it.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ! its like the best movie. its on disney channel and its really good. its not like grease [ i dont think ] its about a guy whos like amazing at basketball but figures out that his heart is really into theatre. and he meets a girl while doing this and they like eachother. its really good and some of my friends are like obcessed. most of us have even met the cast [including me]. anyway - your really missing out. you should see it.

High School Musical is about this boy, Trevor who plays basketball. He is at a christmas party and meets this girl gabriella they sing together. She moves to his school not knowing he lives there and they meet and later in the movie sing in a musical together, its nothing like grease. hope i helped

No, the show isn't like grease. It is a show that is on the disney channel. I haven't really seen the whole show, but my friends were over one day and we saw part of it because they are obsessed with the *hot guy* on it! LOL. But anyways...it is about this kid that plays basketball, but he finds this girl that he likes and he decides to try out for the school play because she is. But it is hard becuase people don't want him to be in the school play...and he is like trying to decide between basketball and the play.
