Q: hey i had my period and i dont wanna tell my mom. but how do i get the pads and tampons and stuff? and how do i explain it when i get cramps and stuff

I think you should tell your mom, she'll probably be happy. And you'll be more comfortable with buying pads and tampons, theres really no reason to hide it, because she has it too, and when you have cramps, your mom will be more understanding.

Q: hi i have a 3 yearold daughter but latly she been out of control she dont listen she is very bossy she wont potty train she hits throws things around gets into everything what can i do to help with all of this everyone is getting mad cuz she is not potty trained yet ive tryed pottys and the adult toliet but nothing works ive tryed soap and spankings and took her toys away but nothing is working can someone help me

Everytime she hits and throws, you say no very firmly, and if she does it, smack her on the hand, (never in the face.) or spank her hard enough where she'll think about it next time, and keep it going, or she'll never stop, you have to be in control, show her that. And I think that maybe you should have the people that get upset, ask them to help you, and support you in parenting he, so that she will behave and be potty trained.

Q: I am having trouble, I'm babysitting for my neighbor. This one baby is very weird! She like poops every 5 mins. I do not want to change her diaper(that white thing that goes on her butt so she doesnt poop or pee in her pants). I am in the middle of watching a movie and she keeps crying. She has a brother too and he does the same thing(they are twins). It is crazy madness I tell you! So please help me and answer me ASAP! Tell me what I should do !!!! thank you!

Talk to the parents about it, theres something wrong with the baby pooping every 5 minutes, and I think it should be brought to their attention to see how they handle that. And for the crying, you can't sit through a whole movie really without taking care of the babies, they might be bored or need something, they could be hungry, just talk to the parents, they will help you and give you tips.

ok i broke up wit my boyfriend last month , cuz he moved to florida, nd for his birthday this month i sent him a plane ticket, bak to new jersey to visit som friends, nd when me nd my family picked him up from the airport , he tld me he was goin out wit my best friend, nd he said he still had strong feelings me tho, nd i tld him i still had strong feelings for him. nd the other night he slept in my room , nd me and my best friend slept in the guest room , nd when i went to get my clothes out of my room , he kissed me , nd my friend came in the room while he was kissin me , so now she's mad at me, nd he wants to go out wit me again. Wut should i do? Should i go out wit him again? or Should i jus let him nd my best friend go out? Wut Should i do bout my best friend bein made at me?

You've got to talk to them both, have the guy explain that when he was with her, he was really in love with you, he shouldn't have dated her if he didn't actually want her, and I think that you shouldn't have kissed him, whether she would of saw or not, now she had to find out by you guys kissing instead of words, she probably had it so bad for that guy she can't erase that image from her head. So, now it will be harder for her to trust your words. Thats why you shouldn't tell her he loved you, it needs to come from him, because if it does come from you, it will sound fake and rude, and unbelievable. You have to fix it, and your friend will probably be very angry towards you, but try not to be angry back, because shes got the right to be angry, you can't really blame her. Its not fair to her, so both of you need to tell her everything, and as for you guys dating again, if you still want her as your friend, you can't date him, I kind of suggest that you not, I understand that you love him, but she does too, and she shouldn't date him either. I'm thinking you all sould not date, and go from there.

Q: ok... i am a little overweight and I like this guy who is really cute. and my parents own a pizza joint so everytime we get in a fight (which is like everyday), he says that i get loaded from my parents shitty pizza... and i get really offended and i still really like him... should i still be his friend? should i block him from my screen name? help please

Block him, that is so horrible, you don't need that guy saying those things to you. You need a guy that will love you for who you are, and don't lose weight for that guy, because he will pick on something else about you just to hurt you. How do I know this? Simply because any guy who likes to say stuff like that always want to dig more for something. You have to get your heart off of him, it may take weeks, but you're way better off and you will be happier because you will find a guy that wants you the way you are. Don't please guys that don't like you the way you are, it is not worth it, I can promise you that.

If the guy is someone you know is respectful, nice, and not the popular guy everyone mainly wants, hes probably worth it, and what I mean by popular is hes not a jerk that just dates lots of girls and dumps them. You know when you're trying too hard when you keep trying to talk to the guy and he keeps ignoring you, or won't talk to you when you talk to him, or makes fun of you in any way and you keep going. You know when you're not trying hard enough when you just watch him all the time and don't try talking to him, or have your friends talk to him about you. And you should give up if that guy just doesn't seem interested after a while of buging at him.

Its ok, as long as it stays a crush, but nothing more. You're a minor, and that guy is like 23, theres no way you can need that. You need to stay away from him, because if you ended with that guy, your motto would change completely, you'd have sex before reaching 17, because older guys move faster. You can't have a good relationship with guys that old, sorry, its just horrible and nasty. That guy is a big fat pervert if he wants you. So you won't be the same 16 year old girl if you dated that guy.

Q: My friend Alex (male) was dating this girl who was a year younger than him. She was a freshman, and he was a sophmore. He finally got sick of her and he broke up with her. No one liked her at all, she was a slut, the ugliest girl he has ever dated, and a bitch. She played a joke on him and told him that she was pregnant. She wasn't even planning on telling him until a month later that it was just a joke. So, he did the dumbest thing he's ever done: he got back with her. Every single one of his friends freaked out on him! And he had this in his info: to everyone againsts my decisions , i cant make everyone happy and i wont , i gotta go with my heart , and i wont ignore it anymore. He told me after he had broken up with that girl that he had found this amazing girl and he said that she was perfect in every way except for the fact that she lived an hour away. Lord only knows what happened to her. He knows I can find him a decent girlfriend! This girl is no good at all. She's always hitting on his best friend who happens to be my boyfriend. What can I do to convince him that he's making the wrong choice? He's going to ruine his life with this girl! Please help! I don't go to the same school as my boyfriend Alex and his bitch and a half girlfriend. But they all do.

Well, forgive me if I had read this wrong, I'm only a bit confused, lol. But, you should tell Alex he is doing something that with effect him for the rest of his life, just spill everything to him. And as for your boyfriend getting hit on, you need to tell her to stop or get him to do it, just have him say "hey, I have a girlfriend, so quit messing with me, because I will not take you over her." And make sure that he won't, if he has interest in her too, then theres a big problem, and he will have to choose. Which sucks, I know, but you'd rather find out now than later.

You've got to quit hanging out with those people. Friends are not suppose to make you stressed to the point of self destruction. Now listen, you may not think this is true right now, but if you keep hanging out with them, you will be one of them. People like sluts and popular people have great influences on the good girls, now, let me tell you that I was one of those good girls, and I never became one of the popular people because I had bounderies for myself, I never hung out with popular people, or sluts because I knew I had to be one of them if I was going to be apart of them. You should just see maybe a school counselor about this, now, counselors and therapists sound horrible to you probably at the moment, I felt that way too, but my doctor had me try and they're better than you think, heck, I got to eat candy while talking to my therapist. And you can get your arms cleared up, without keeping a big hurtful and stressful secret. You will not be alone in this if you get your parents and maybe a counselor involved. You won't regret it either, because those groups of people that you hang out with are headed in a way different path than you are. I had to get rid of my best friend, she basically left me by hanging out with people who are half her age, and I couldn't stay in that. Yes, it was very hard, but I feel better without her, because I still had other friends. And even if you may not have anymore friends, you will always make new ones. I hope I helped you.

Q: Ok, my head hurts really bad. Its not a headache ( I know when I have a headache) and Its kind of a weird feeling, like my head is a melon and everytime I lay down or bend over, my head feels like its goign to fall off. My nose is all stuffy and I have no idea if I am getting sick or what. What do you think this is, the flu? What should I take (over the counter) to help me get better? Thanks

The symptoms you're having just souds like a cold or maybe the flu, and a good medicine to not feel the symptoms anymore are Day Quil and Ny-Quil. Very good medicines, even the off brand kind gets rid of them. So you should go out and buy it. Get well!!

Q: ok here is the thing i met this guy from my BFF...i backed off bc i knew she liked him and i didnt want to let her know i liked him...yet he is 2 months older yet a grade younger so he isnt in the high school with me yet..

im tryin to think of a way to let them both know that i like him with out obvious signals

he seems to flirt or whatever with me...like he will sometimes hug me or hell run from me n make me catch him..idk

i will most likely see him 2morro @ the mall again but im not sure...any ideas on how i can pull this off?

Well, I'm not sure you should be giving out signals to let them know, I think you should tell your best friend straight forward, she may not like what you have to say, but she'll respect that you told her, and she will know that she can trust you because you tell her. And, in my experiance, I had liked this guy, since about the 5th grade, and he liked me, but we never ever hooked up because we didn't ask each other out until 8th grade, and I had already had a boyfriend, so I had to turn him down and it felt don right horrible, it felt like I had led him on and pushed him away. So, I'm thinking that if your friend still only likes him as a friend, she could help you guys hook up maybe, but I think that if you just try giving signals, nothing will happen, you don't wanna risk that. But I mean, you do what you feel is right, and if you want to do signals, then just keep messing around with him, and bugging him, maybe he'll approach you first. I hope I helped.

Q: 13/f -- I am really scared because recentyl i was dared by my friends to go to porn websites on my compter ..But i deleted my history right after -- then i read something about people going to jail and i was wondering can you go to jail for looking at internet porn? Definetly not, you're just fine, lots of people would be in jail if they looked at porn, so it is ok.

Q: hi, sometimes im selfish..okay, im always selfish. for example if i get an awesome necklace/shirt/pants/earrings/cd/anything::when peoeple ask me where i got them from i never want to tell!! i dont want people coping off me a iguess but it happens so much! and even the stuff i make, okay well i made a necklace out of a guitar pick and then everyone did the same things...etc. it makes me mad! also when i do homework im the same way, i hate when poeple copy me! and my friend, she copies my essays and uses like the same things i do and i take a long time thinking of them, just like a simple sentence. im christian and i know i shouldnt be like this, but i dont know why i am! how can i cure my selfishness??! i wanna be a better person, help me please~~~~!!!!!!!

I actually don't think you're the selfish person. I'm thinking it is your friends, and thev best thing about somebody coping you, is that they obviously love your styles and your ideas, the essay thing needs to stop, just say "no, I put a lot of thought into this, and I don't put thought in for more than one person, I know that I let you do this before, but we both know its wrong, so I am putting an end to it." Just be calm about it. But if you still don't wanna be copied, just keep where you get it a secret, say things like "I don't remember, I don't know because my sister got me it" Or just change the subject quickly.

Q: Hey everyone..I'm 13, 5"4, and 135 lbs. I'm athletic, i'm really into softball and i'm a cheerleader. ALL of my friends try so hard to tell me all the time that i'm not fat. I know I may not be FAT, but i'm most definitely not skinny, or close to it. My stomach sticks out about 3 inches more than i'd like it to. Everything else about me is fine, but my stomach is stopping me from wanting to have a boyfriend, stopping me from being confident, and basically taking over my life because it always causes me to be in a bad mood. I'm not one of those people that want to be deadly skinny. I honestly am overweight, although my BMI is average. I've tried diets but they usually only last about a few weeks, a month tops. I excercise whenever i can which isnt frequent, but NOTHING seems to help. Im going on vacation in April and I would really like to have lost a lot of weight, well, just inches i suppose. I don't have trouble getting boyfriends but the problem is im always scared that they dont like me or wont if they realized that im not as skinny as everyone else. When i dress myself, i dont wear wicked tight clothes, or slutty crap. I look good but not as good as i could look if i was skinnier. If ANYONE has any advice as to what i could do, i would TRULY appreciate it. I can sometimes be very committed to diets but not as much as i could be. I need something that i can easily do to get rid of some inches by april, or sooner. I dont realy have money or rides to go to the gym, so i have to work with whatever i can do at home. I jog too, but that doesnt really help me. I would honestly be the happiest person alive if i was skinnier, and i mean that. Please, help me out guys. p.s-sorry this is so long.

Q: I have this firend of mine whom i've known since grade school. We are now 22 years old. When we were about 16 years old he told me that his sister had a baby and that he was left to take care of it. I found it strange because the baby was not his responsibility. He then told me that his sister took the baby to live across town.

We got out of touch with each other since high school. And met up again in College. It was a year or so when he decided to confide in me and tell me that he had a son when he was 17. He then told me that his son died due to medical reasons. I was his shoulder to lean on.

Recently i met another old high school freind of mine who said that she sees him all the time and he showed her pictures oh his son. I told her that i knew all about his son and i was sorry about what happened. She looked at me with questioning eyes and asked what happened to his son. I told her that his son died. She laughed and said no his so is not dead. She told me that the last time she saw him he told her that he had to buy some books for his son because he is starting school.

I was shocked. I could not belive it. I knew she was not lying she had no reason to lie. And it sounds like his son is no longer a baby. A baby does not need books. It sounds more like a first grader. As if the child was 7 years old. It was seven years ago when we were 16 and he had to take care of his sister's baby.

Could it be that my friend is a cold blooded liar? And if so why does he feel the need to lie to me. The person who was there for him through his so call suffering. And why would he tell me htat his son is dead when the opposite is true?

You just need to confront this whole thing, and tell him that you want the truth, and if he still tells you his son died, say that you know he is not because somebody who sees him all the time has told you, and if he still does NOT own up to it, just say "I don't know why you feel the need to lie to me, but I would really like to know, because I do not like being lied to, I have always respected you as my friend and I have been your shoulder to cry on, and I feel as if I am getting lied to for being that person." If he STILL won't, hes really not worth it, trust me, the last person you want to befriend are liars.

Q: Wow this is a hard one. I am stuck between two different guys. The one I have been with before and have feelings for. But I met this one and I think about him all the time and he just makes me feel all happy inside. But he is older 4 years. I know that doesn't matter but i'm stuck between two different guys. What should I do?

I can't even begin to tell you how familiar I am with that, I had a boyfriend for a year and starting crushing on another, I had no idea what to do. But heres what I did, I think about when I'm with my boyfriend, about these things:

Does he show he loves me?
Does he put me in front of himself at times?
Does he wanna talk to me like I am the center of attention?

now if you're like 13 or 14 I know it sounds very adult like, but just think about which guy makes yoiu feel good. Being stuck between two guys is a very icky sticky situation, but I am hoping you aren't a teen, because 4 years older is really wrong, it may not be to you, but it really is bad, you do not want to be caught up in that, just thought I'd warn you.

The way I see it, if a parent has a problem with their child hanging out with another certain child, obviously something is going on that you might not have mentioned in your story, but if theres no doubt in your mind why she doesn't like her, you've got to ask her and don't let her get away with "just because" tell her you want specifics, and if you can't have them, then you won't even think over why you shouldn't be her friend, but I am sure shes got a pretty well explained reason. Q: I have met this new friend. My bestfriend doesn't like her. I like her. The new friend is mean to my bestfriend but not to me. I want to be friends with both of them. What should i do?

Do you know why they aren't getting along? You need to find that out. When you tell me that the new friend is being rude to the best friend, it makes me think shes the problem, and you have to learn to control your friends behavior towards your other friends. Obviously someone isn't being nice on purpose. The only way you can put a stop to this is to find out what is it that makes them dislike each other.

Q: Okay at school I talk with this kid a lot and now everyone is saying nasty things like we have made out and stuff and it is really making me not want to hang out with this guy anymore but I want to but I do not want to be continued calling names so what should I do?

Warn him, yell at him, or just ditch his gossiping butt. And everytime he tries to talk to you just throw rude and sarcastic remarks at him, like "Oh honey, I don't have anytime, see you after school for uhh oh yea, make out session, in your room? Ok later idiot" Then just walk away, or talk to him.

Q: I love to draw but the only problem is that I never know what to draw.I need some ideas on what I can draw!And if you name something that is very colorful and takes a while to color than I will rate you a perfect five!!!

Well, as you said in your question, you want something colorful. And the key to drawing is to draw something that expresses you, and color does! Have you ever seen one of those books with pages of colored shapes in a big collage thing? That is a perfect example. Because it looks a bit plain when its a solid color, but different colors make it stand out, now, I know thats just coloing, but you can draw your own and put even like tiny pictures in it or something, and color it with as many colors as you can. My name is Erin and I am now 18 years old. You may realize through out looking at my column, some of you love me and some of you flat out hate me. There's really no gray area with me I guess you can say.

I haven't given advice here in so long and it's only because I got caught up in life. But I'm more mature than I ever thought I could be.
So anyway I'm here again. It's been a long time, but I still love giving advice and still plan on it in the future.
