being selfish!
hi, sometimes im selfish..okay, im always selfish. for example if i get an awesome necklace/shirt/pants/earrings/cd/anything::when peoeple ask me where i got them from i never want to tell!! i dont want people coping off me a iguess but it happens so much! and even the stuff i make, okay well i made a necklace out of a guitar pick and then everyone did the same things...etc. it makes me mad! also when i do homework im the same way, i hate when poeple copy me! and my friend, she copies my essays and uses like the same things i do and i take a long time thinking of them, just like a simple sentence. im christian and i know i shouldnt be like this, but i dont know why i am! how can i cure my selfishness??! i wanna be a better person, help me please~~~~!!!!!!!

Well you shouldnt get mad..about somebody wantin to know where you get something at..they must like your style take it as a compliment..and things you do they must like..but i would be selfish too if somebody was copying my work that i do..i would say something..dont jus hold this in if it bothers you..much luv dez

I actually don't think you're the selfish person. I'm thinking it is your friends, and thev best thing about somebody coping you, is that they obviously love your styles and your ideas, the essay thing needs to stop, just say "no, I put a lot of thought into this, and I don't put thought in for more than one person, I know that I let you do this before, but we both know its wrong, so I am putting an end to it." Just be calm about it. But if you still don't wanna be copied, just keep where you get it a secret, say things like "I don't remember, I don't know because my sister got me it" Or just change the subject quickly.

no, you just want to be independent. you can tell people. well, you should be honored,but i know thats hard because ive been in your position before, but the people want to be like you, so take that as a complement. :)

Well if your selfish why are you christian? And what exactly does being a christian have to do with you being selfish? The only way to stop being selfish is to accept they like what you do and want to take up after you and like what you did, dont view it as copying, view it as honoring.

There is no problem with the way you are - you aren't really being selfish. It's normal to want to be different from everyone else.. I freak out too when people copy me. And as for homework, you shouldn't let your friends copy it anyway - they were supposed to be doing the work, not you doing it for them. For the style things, TRY your hardest to take it as a compliment - people like YOUR style so much, they want to use it. If it really bothers you, tell them.

That's not selfishness! You just are a trendsetter, people want the same look as you [big compliment!]. I can see why you would get upset if peopple copy your work. It's ok you help someone, but it's really unacceptable to take someone's work and put your name on it. You just want what you've created to be yours, and that's ok! I know this is a little wrong [I too, can be like this] but when people ask me where i got my clothes, jewelry, cd's, I say "I got it as a gift" or "my parents got it for me" as for the copying of the paper, instead of getting upset [even though you DO have a right to be if people copy your work] say "I can help you after school" or "why don't i help you think up something to write about?" Helping is a lot better than someone copying, and you'll be known as a great person!

it sounds like to me that everyone thinks everything you do is the best way they should go. they look up to you and they follow you. maybe you should be a light to them and show them the right way to go, to God. pray to God and ask him for some help to show them the right way to go.

well if ppl ask you where you get your stuff and if you tell them its no big deal but if you dont want to then its fine but try to be more open and like wen ur friends copy you just tell them to stop and to try to do their own work .. they`ll understand and if they get mad at you then thats just rele stupid .. but they wont l0l so dont worry about it.. x0

You're not being selfish if you dont want people coying you. You're just being normal. If you do something and people copy you, take it as a compliment. Try telling your friends to stop copying the way you do things. Also, being christian has nothing to do with it. You're probably already are a good person. Just keep "renewing" yourself. lol. hope it helps
