i dont know what to do

Question Posted Friday February 4 2005, 10:23 pm

I am having trouble, I'm babysitting for my neighbor. This one baby is very weird! She like poops every 5 mins. I do not want to change her diaper(that white thing that goes on her butt so she doesnt poop or pee in her pants). I am in the middle of watching a movie and she keeps crying. She has a brother too and he does the same thing(they are twins). It is crazy madness I tell you! So please help me and answer me ASAP! Tell me what I should do !!!! thank you!

Sounds to me like you can't really handle them. If this kids still in diapers you shouldn't even be watching a movie while babysitting them because they are obviously young. Unless they are asleep your eye should be on them all the time. Kids get up to some weird things.
If you're that worried about the 'pooping' (haha sorry, it cracks me up although I'd freak out if that happend to me) talk to the parents of the kids about it. I'm sure they know about it but ask them about it or something. Also, you can't just leave the kid with a diaper full of crap. It's bad for the baby. Just change the diaper, it's disgusting, I know but after a bit you eventually get used to it.
One last thing, if you're that stressed with the kids whining all the time you shouldn't babysit them anymore, they're babies. They all cry.
Good Luck

Why don't you first tell the parents about it, I think they should know. And you should not be a babysitter. How would you like it if you were pooping uncontrollably and nobody would help you out? Guess what, that's gonna be you in about 50 years in the nursing home. She's just a helpless baby, and you shouldn't be so obsessed with your movie that you can't take care of her, especially since that's what her parents are PAYING you to do.

Talk to the parents about it, theres something wrong with the baby pooping every 5 minutes, and I think it should be brought to their attention to see how they handle that. And for the crying, you can't sit through a whole movie really without taking care of the babies, they might be bored or need something, they could be hungry, just talk to the parents, they will help you and give you tips.

LMAO Sorry about that, it just sounds kinda funny from my point of view ^.^ anyway, have you told the parents about it? I mean, if you havent, I think it's the best thing. Maybe then they can have some time to explain or maybe rethink about some stuff they did to the twins *cough* laxatives *cough* Anyway, I hope I helped some! ;]

Um, to be honest with you, you aren't a responsible sitter. The kids should be your top priority and not you movie, you seem really naive

dreamingkat answered Monday February 7 2005, 10:11 pm:
You do have to change the babies diaper soon after the "poop". You only have to change a wet diaper when it gets full, or about every 3 hours for disposable ones. Cloth ones should be changed pretty much right after they go. If the kids have diarrhea, yes, it means you spend the whole night changing diapers.

When the babies cry, you need to pay attention to them. They might be hungry, thirsty, or if you haven't changed the diaper they may be getting diaper rash that hurts. They might also just be bored. It's your job as their babysitter to entertain them. Your neighbors not paying you to watch a movie, they're paying you to take care of their children.

Karen answered Saturday February 5 2005, 11:32 am:
If you are having trouble babysitting, tell these kids' mother that they are too much for you and that you may need to bring someone with you. Call their mother up the next time you babysit them and she will help you. If you can't handle all this "crazy madness", then you need to babysit some other kids that are older and potty trained. Hope I helped :)

All I think you can do is tell her parents about it. Maybe you are not the only to babysit them because you may not be able to handle them. You know what I mean?

have a friend babysit with you so you have half the work. try not to feed them the "p" fruits, such as pears, pinapples, plums.... basically any fruit that starts with a p. for some reason, those like make bowel(sp?) movements work quicker or something like that. My aunt is a nurse, and i know this is gross but when her kids get constipated(sp?) she gives them a "p" fruit, and, well, you can figure out the rest =o]
