Hey there!

There are many ways you can do this. Dollar stores have coloring books that you could copy. You can decide which colors you would want to use.

If you wouldn't want to do that, try to go to e-card sites. They have so many drawings that you could do.

Another thing, drawing is not limited to charcoal or sketches. To be honest, it's really way big of a subject. I think the easiest one you can do is Abstract drawing. It doesn't have to look like a real image. It could be anything, from symbols to colors, or whatever you prefer.

What might help is for you to search online about drawing to get a sense of what you would like to stick to when it comes to drawing.

I hope this helps!

Draw a sunset on a beach near the ocean with two people. You could draw a portrait of a friend.

try drawing like a mural of a band, put the name of the band in big bubble letters, and then find their logo and make it a giant huge picture, and add some backround colors with flourescents, your friends will think its the coolest thing ever

advice~gurl answered Wednesday February 16 2005, 4:08 pm:
Whoa....Way too many answers for me to answer but I need to update my column so I guess I shall.

Really draw what you see! Look out your window, what do you see? a tree and a yard like I do? or a road? Draw it! The most fun drawing for me is when I am in the car (I don't get car sick like most do) and I draw the first thing I see and then perhaps another ten miles I draw another. Its fun to see such random things together and to color them totally random.

I think anything you draw can be very colorfull. Don't keep to the sterotyped colors, seriously.
Look at you BFF, what does she look like to you? Is she the normal peach skin color to you or is she colorful and fun? Draw from you heart. Draw in color.

the perfect place to draw a colorful picture is to go to the park or to the lake in autumn it is the best time of year all the leaves are colored orange yellow and brown then theres the green grass the grey sky and the birds migrating or you could throw sponges covered with paint on the paper you will have the most colorful picture another option would be if you have ever watched the brazilian festivals well that would make a perfect colorful picture.

MakalahLea answered Wednesday February 16 2005, 2:03 pm:
Here are a few of the things that I like to sketch. I hope that you like a few of them.

Flowers - Lillys.....there are many different types and all of them beautiful.

Landscapes - You can draw the Montana countryside in 2005 or make it really interesting and draw a city in any state back in the 1800's. I have lots of fun with this one, creating people, towns, houses, animals.....very time consuming but rewarding.

Disney Characters - I pick a movie and try to draw all of the characters that I like from it. I paint/color/pencil them in and create gifts for children out of them.

Planets - Pick a planet in existance or create your own with moons and strange atmospheric activity. Think of how spectacular Jupiter is and have fun with it.

Sea - You can do a sea scene by creating the sea floor, all of the plant life that you want, coral reefs, fish and shell fish.

Houses - Pick your favorite style of house. Draw it out on a large section of land (perhaps a large sketchpad would be a good idea for this one), including an English Maze, servants quarters, gardens, tool/woodworking sheds, dairy houses, smokehouses, stables and farm animal sections.

There are so many things that you can do with any of these suggestions. I hope that you choose a few and have great fun. Experiment with different mediums as well such as watercolors and oils. Best wishes!

I do a fair bit of drawing and I always end up doing fantasy scenes with fairies, elves and other similar things. It sounds immature but it really lets you use your imagination and you can use as many colours as you want because you created it.

If that's not really your thing try drawing flowers, they are usually colourful and quite interesting to draw.

You could also try drawing alternative copies of famous pictures. Try doing a Mona Lisa using bright colours and in a different style.

Sometimes when I don't know what to draw, I close my eyes and the first thing that comes into my head, I draw.

draw like some made up fantasy place, a theme of something you like, a place that you have been to or would like to go to someday, like disney, paris, the beach. For disney draw like cinderella's castle or your favorite disney characters. draw some of your favorite cartoon characters.(like carebears, scooby, taz, tweety, tom & jerry. or the little ponies from My Little Pony). a landscape, a mountain, anything that would interest you.

TheTeenGirl answered Wednesday February 16 2005, 1:54 am:
Well, as you said in your question, you want something colorful. And the key to drawing is to draw something that expresses you, and color does! Have you ever seen one of those books with pages of colored shapes in a big collage thing? That is a perfect example. Because it looks a bit plain when its a solid color, but different colors make it stand out, now, I know thats just coloing, but you can draw your own and put even like tiny pictures in it or something, and color it with as many colors as you can. Hope I helped.
