Hey, I'm Elana... I'm 15 years old and I love to help people.. I know I know, everyone says that on this site, but I can be pretty good at giving advice sometimes. I'm into lots of sports, tennis, softball, and my new thing... Track, haha... I also dance, play piano (obviously) my saxophone (love it) and go online... A LOT! lol

Random stuff about me: I'm 5'1 and a 1/2".. I LOVE music..favorite bands are: switchfoot, green day, rooney, foo fighters, stone temple pilots, and any jazz music, my friends and family mean so much to me, things don't always go the way I want them to..(when does it ever work like that?) bowling rocks my world!! haha even if I suck! :) I'm extremely energetic and bouncy as my friends know, and I like to laugh, at anything...

my friend likes a guy that likes me and i don't like him. she will gladly step aside so that i can have him but i don't want him. he's perfect for HER. now she's saying she sucks because no one likes her and she's not pretty etc. but she IS pretty!! she is so awesome. what do i do to hint to the guy that my FRIEND is for him, not me? moreover, i want to remain friends with my friend.

Well if you talk to this guy.. just flat out tell him you're not interested but you definitely know someone who is. Tell him they're perfect for him and then tell him to think about it. Ask your friend though first if this is ok with her... I'm sure she won't mind! Good luck!

I am going to my friend's birthday party in 3 days. My other friend has a cold sore and today I got this cut on my lower lip and I don't know how it got there. My friend said that when she first got her cold sore, it started out as a cut. Sometimes I get cuts on my lips and hands when it starts getting cold. If i actually have a coldsore, does anybody know how to get rid of it before the party?

Well for now I would keep it clean and don't touch it too much... If it is (or isn't) a cold sore, use carmex on it!! i have a friend who lives off this stuff!!! she swears by it.. it'll definitely do the trick! you can find it pretty much in any drugstore...

In june i got in a car accident where my friend rear-ended some1...and i ended up with a spranged knee and a neck brace..well now whenever some1 gets like close to a car i start to freak out and like lose my breath...is that ok? because it was in june and its now november

Yes that's perfectly normal... When I locked myself out of my house last winter I wouldn't close the door without checking it like 50 times first for months... (And I didn't have anything horrible happen to me.. I just froze a little) Don't worry about this I promise you that this feeling will go away. In the meantime just tell yourself that that was an accident and it doesn't mean it will happen every time. If that doesn't work talk to someone you can trust about this.. feel better soon!

wow that's kinda creepy! I don't think she has a camera in your room but maybe since you guys used to be friends, you have a VERY similar taste in style and clothes. That's all I think it could be.. Try talking to her and see if she notices this too.

ok i like hate my name so much .. it's Liana.. and well people sometimes "cant pronounce it" so they just say "Hey you!" or they just pronounce it wrong. Or sometimes their like "um..you.. i forgot your name" .. and well like is there anything i can do to get people to pronounce my name right or call me something diffferent that is easy to pronounce .. (maybe like a nick name)

p.s. sometimes my friends call me Lee for short but not very often

Hey that's fine when people read my name they usually can't pronounce it right either. It's Elana but usually people say Elaina. lol That's why now a lot of my friends call me Lana. How bout for your name just start telling people it's Ana. Or Lee works too. By the way i really like your name!

me and mai bf of 6th months r reallie close n we barely ever fight but we got into this fight (which was my fault) about a week ago and i apologized n erything and he forgave me and it felt like everything was back to normal..(we go to diff skools) and hes off this whole week and i hav skool till wednesday but hes been like blowing me off...we wer suposed to do something saturday...and i called and he wasnt home all day and then sunday he was "too busy cleaning his room" i was like wtf he has all week and then so i havent seen him all weekend...not even friday bc he went somewhere with his friends....idk wats goin on with him...should i call him tonite n ask him is he mad @ me n tell him how i feel? or do i wait for him 2 call me?

I would call him and see what's up... i wouldn't accuse him though of blowing you off. Just say you missed not seeing him this weekend and ask him what he's been up to lately and if there's anything bothering him... make it as casual as possible. Good luck!

i'm going to be moving soon and i was wondering if there are any teenagers out there with some good ideas on how to decorate a new bedroom?? you know, something fun yet classy, but not too crazy.

When i re-did my room i painted the walls a color to express me.. lime green! lol anyway.. all of my furniture came from ikea. It's an awesome store and I love the way it looks, it's really modern... just walk around and you'll definitely see some stuff you like!

Is there any way to help speed up the recovery of a small cut?

I have a friend,Megan which I have been practically sisters with my whole life. I've known her for 6 years and we basically grew up together. I also have this other friend,Kelsy, which I have known for about 4 or 5 years, and is also extremely close with me. Megan and Kelsy have also been close for years,too. Kelsy is starting not to like Megan anymore, due to a drunk night when Megan got with the guy that Kelsy liked. I know it was wrong, but I've known Megan for half my life and I can't just drop her like that. Kelsy might get mad if she knows that I still want to be friends with Megan, because everytime she says something about Megan, I always agree by saying I'm not talking to her anymore either. What are your opinions on this?

Don't ditch anyone... Sit both of them down and have a "heart-to-heart" (I know it sounds dumb but trust me it'll work!) Have Megan talk to Kelsy and vice-versa... I think they probably still really care about each other. Explain to them how much all of this is hurting you. You said you've grown up together..tell them one stupid night can't erase all those years of memories... Oh and next time Kelsy talks about Megan don't agree with her, unless you really want to, because you shouldn't lie to make someone happy. Just talk about this with them and it'll work itself out... i dont know what to put this under but oh well, i like reading alot... and i have 8 or so new books upstairs in my bedroom i havent read. To you that might sound like a lot of books but beleive me they go by fast... and so recently my family has been broke... i mean like dead broke $5.00 broke! and when i finish all those books i think instead of buying books im just gonna go to the library... but i want to know some names of REALLY good books!!

Well it sorta depends on what books you're into.. My favorite book of all time is "Sabriel" by Garth Nix.. It's kind of a fantasy book I guess you could call it. There's also in that series "Lireal" which is also awesome and "Abhorsen" which I haven't read yet. You have to read them in the order I said though otherwise they won't make any sense... I also like "Wicked" It's about the life of the wicked witch in the wizard of oz, it's extremely long though.. Have fun reading! and good luck with your family problems...

I talk to the guy I like alot on AIM and alot in school. We're great friends but it seems like I always IM HIM! I don't know if he doesn't want to talk to me but when I IM him we usually get into long conversations but he never starts them. It's always me. Is this a hint he doesn't want to talk to me? If it then why do we always talk up a storm? Pleae help!!

I don't think this is a hint at all... He's probably just really shy. If once you started talking it seemed like you were doing all the talking then i would say he probably doesn't wanna talk... but you said you get in long conversations. Don't worry about it, just keep starting the conversations and maybe eventually he'll do it...

well first of all, why does this guy have such a bad reputation? has he done things that you don't know about? secondly, does he like you? you don't hafta admit you like him, but if you think you might want to get to know him, go ahead, and make up your own mind about him. talk to your friends though, because sometimes we're blinded when we like a guy so much, and they might see something you don't...and be careful ok?

you said your friend is going to a new school right? well that means she probably felt alone and confused when she first got there, and the only thing she could do was make new friends. maybe you should make some new(more) friends, but not forget about her. if you want, call her and ask her to hang out. if she still seems weird, tell her that just because your not together all the time, it doesn't have to be the end of your friendship, and that you miss her... tell her what you told me. good luck! if you need anything else leave something for me.

All of a suddenly my friends have been treating me like crap. They always are like in a group and never include me. Whenever they go to the movies or hang out at one of the houses they say that they tried to reach me, meanwhile there name didnt show up on the phone. They never save me a seat at lunch and dont care at all about me. For an example, i was choking a little for at least 5 minutes and all of my friends just looked at me and didnt ask if i was ok. Meanwhile when one of the other peoples in our " group" is having a problem there all supporting her with me its like im just a shadow. I dont mean to complain, but i dont know what to do. This isn't good... If you want to you should probably talk to them about this.. Tell them exactly what you told me, that you feel invisible around them. Hopefully they'll understand and maybe try to include you in some of their stuff... If this doesn't work though, I'm sorry to say but I would find new friends. These people sound kind of fake. OK I've been going out with my boyfriend for almost two months now and I'd do anything for him, I love him so much. Well , I go to a technical high school so I'm in a shop -- Auto repair -- with a bunch of boys and we have a field trip coming up. My boyfriend doesnt want me to go and I completely see why (the boys in my shop are a little perverted sometimes). But my entire shop wants me to go and I'll be the only person not going. There is a possibility that something would happen that my boyfriend wouldnt like. I'd never do anything to hurt him but stuff just happens sometimes. I just wanted some opinions on what I should do. Thanx in advance.. I rate high.

There's a possibility something would happen? why do you say that? I would talk to your bf about why you want to go, but this doesn't sound too good cause i think you need to be able to control yourself. If those guys try anything just move away, don't let them make a move on you. And tell your boyfriend exactly what you told us. That you love him and you'd do anything for him, but you really want to go on this trip.

I have liked this guy (we will call him george) for awhile. I never told anyoen so he ended up going out with one of my friends (we will call her katie). So they went out for awhile and for about the last week george has been flirting with me a lot since we were in a play together and we had a lot of rehearsals. Well, katie started to notice that he was flirting with me and then he wouldnt with her. So a few days ago George broke up with katie, katie seemed all excited about it. Then the next day she came up to me and told me i should go out with him. Do you think she is jealous? Or if she really wanted to let go and be set free? i dont want to go out with the guy if its really going to hurt her :-/
