I am going to my friend's birthday party in 3 days. My other friend has a cold sore and today I got this cut on my lower lip and I don't know how it got there. My friend said that when she first got her cold sore, it started out as a cut. Sometimes I get cuts on my lips and hands when it starts getting cold. If i actually have a coldsore, does anybody know how to get rid of it before the party?

If it is (or isn't) a cold sore, use carmex on it!! i have a friend who lives off this stuff!!! she swears by it.. it'll definitely do the trick! you can find it pretty much in any drugstore...

-Dipping a cotton ball or the end of a Q-Tip in peroxide and rubbing it gently over the cut. (Don't swallow peroxide)
-Avoid accidy foods and drinks (ie: orange juive, tomatoes, etc)
There are several over the counter methods as well:
-Blistex
-OraGel
-Abreeva
I would say either of those 3 give you the best results..Abreeva and Oragel probably do it the quickest, but Blistex is good for long term protection.
