Im 13 years old and I just started jr. high. I'm in the 7th grade. The problem is that I have no friends and I don't know how to make any. I've tried to be social, but no one seems to want to talk to me. I'm in all honors classes, and the girls in the honors classes are all rich and white and popular. I don't really like them anyway, but i have every class with them. Thankfully, i have 1 really good friend I met this year. She dosnt have friends, either. How can I make friends? I want to be the popular girl i was in elementary.

I know its hard to fit in right when you get into, Jr. High. Well have you heard the saying. The only way to have a friend is to be a friend :)? You should still talk to the rich, white, popular girls, because they may like you. You just have to get to know them. Compliment them on what they are wearing if you like it. Anything nice to say. Thats how I made most of my friends. Smile, and be yourself.

I'm 13 too, and I haven't exactly dramatically made out with anyone either. But ask yourself, Do you want to? If you don't wanna make-out the whole time tell him how you feel. I know that you wanna talk with him, because thats usually how girls bond with someone, other than getting physical...You know? You really shouldn't let him go out to the movies with his best friend Meghan. If he goes to the movies with her and not you, thats plain bull. He should invite you too, and Meghan may be right about him flirting with other girls. The only way to find out if this is true is to talk to him about it. Ask him if he is happy with you and him being together. And if him and Meghan almost went out one time, I would watch her like a hawk. Are you happy with your boyfriend? Take time to think about it :)

I have the SAME EXACT problem. My friends say that they are too immature to see what a great person I am, or that they are too shy to talk to me. It might be true, but I'm waiting, I found out that if you don't rush your fate the best things will come to you. I went out with a guy recently, he found me because I wasn't looking for a guy. When your not looking, a guy will find you, trust me, I've seen it happen so many times. So the best thing is to wait, someone will come along, I promise you :)

Aw, you have every right to be upset. When she didn't know you liked him, it was okay. But now that you told her, she should respect that you like him and back off. I would confront her again. Be like "Hey, I told you that I liked Bob, why did you still continue to flirt? Do you like him, and I know you said no before but are you sure?" Be very nice about it because you don't want to start a cat fight, especially on christmas.

That sounds REALLY immature of Pauli. If he stops talking to becuse he doesn't like your cousin...???...If he likes you as more than a friend or just as a friend he wouldn't stop talking to you. You deserve someone so much better, some that respects your family :). Yeah, it was mean of your cousin to be mean to him for no reason because she didn't like him, but he should have blew her off and still talked to you. If you like him a lot you could send him an email telling him what you put in this question. And there is no need to feel in anyway in this situation, the problem may and may not be solved but if you tell him how you feel theres a possible chance he might talk to you again :)

I wear tinted moisturizer on my skin and nothing else.. except blush. But my question is, since I don't use any powder, would it be bad to use a powder blush? Or should I use a liquid blush.. (or w/e its called.) And does anyone have any reccomendations for fair skin? Like brands that I can buy at Target. Thanks!!

Hey girlie,

I use powder blush. Power blush is the best for me because it doesn't make my face look oily, and its not streaky. It makes my face look porcelain. It will be bad to use powder if you apply blush first then cover up or moisturizer after, it will become streaky. For fair skin with blush, sheer colors will look best on you. Pastels, avoid brown...or Pink or peach. Some cheap brands that you can buy at target or walmart is, maybeliene, covergirl, revelon.

Hi okay i just want some advice to know if my feels for this is normal because it's been like 6 weeks and i still cant get over it. alright i started a new school for my freshman year and back in october i got asked out by this guy that was in my class with me. we never really talked but we did talk and joke around and things...so finally out of the blue he asked me out and at the time i didnt really like him because i didnt know him but i thought to give it a try because you never know. so i did and i found out that i do like him alot. then there was problem because my friend is just always around me and he feels like the third wheel all the time and to make things short he broke up with me. it didnt really hit me at the point because i was just speechless but ever since then he's still always on my mind. we dont talk anymore either because i just feel really shy. but is it normal that he's still on my mind. i mean i try to forget about it and everything and move on but it seems like it's just haunting me...maybe is it because i didnt say anything to stop the break up? i'm really confused and i hope somebody can help. please and thank you.

Since you didn't say anything to stop the break-up it could have meant to him that you were fine with it. IM him and tell him your not. I have been best friends with someone for about a half of a year. Afer she hooked up with a new guy, after dumping her old bf, she has completly ditched me. We go to different skools, but she still called me every nite to tell me something or other. And now, she doesnt call me @ all and never returns my calls and evertime tat i get ahole of her, she always says got to go, and says call u back in 5 minutes, and never does. I dont know what to do because we havent been fighting or anything and everything was kewl last weekend. My mom is a work out FREAK! She makes her shakes with protein powder. Called "WHYEY" and you can buy the powder in health food stores, GNS (General Nutrition Center.) they have their stores in the malls. But you can check online to see whats in your area. But the powder comes in different flavors, like vanilla and chocolate, and you just add water to it. You can add sugar but MORE CALORIES! LOL...

I was in a mental institution and I got really close to one of the staff members that worked there, she helped me in every way possible and I thought of her as my mom. Since I have been out it seems like everytime I call the hospital to talk to her, they make an excuse for me to NOT talk to her. Last night my sister looked her up on the internet and come to find out, she lives a mile away from me, and I have her home phone number, I mailed her a christmas card this morning to her home, but I dont know if I should actually call her at home. I miss her so much and she made such a big impact in my life, what do I do? I don't want her to think that I am like stalking her or anything! ???????

Aw I know how that feels! You should just keep trying to contact her. I think you should call her house phone. She will melt when she finds out that she changed your life, and she WON'T think you are a stalker. I have been best friends with kara for almost a year. Just the other day, she broke up with her boyfriend. And that same day, someone new asked her out. Alright yall, i believe in God and that Jesus is the son of God. But i dont like church one bit, and i dont like the bible. I think i'm a good person, but i do also sin (obviously). Since you believe Jesus is the son of god, do you have him as your personal savior? The bible states John 3:16: For god so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son. That who shall ever believe in him, shall not perish, but will have ever lasting life. Meaning, if you give your life to him you will have eternal life in heaven. Well, you have to think about it, what is the reason why you don't church? Its so long to sit there and listen? Or the messages just don't make sense? And I'm sorry, the bible says, You have to be more than just a good person to get into heaven. And everyone is born with sin. There is a lot more of relationship with god though if you take time to go to church and read the bible. It may be because you haven't found a church that you can make your spiritual home. The answer if you are going to hell for not liking to go to church is no. All of us that are Christians need church to help us grow in our faith. If you don't believe most of the things Christians believe, you may call yourself a Christian, but you don't follow the beliefs of being one. Ok, so whenever my best friend has another friend over she won't talk to me (I mean like online). Your probably thinking "ummm, it's rude to talk to you while a friend is there." But she talks to other people! I know this because if I IM her on the bottom it will say (their screenname) is typing. Then she just stops typing when she realizes it's from me and immedatly puts up her away message. Then someone will ask me if I know why she went away without saying anything. I used to have a friend like that. Friends like that are usually...well idk...But my friend that was like that would usually do the same thing. Then suddenly she stopped talking to me all of a sudden and would start ignoring me...were not friends anymore. That is really mean what your best friend is doing. She could just not want to be your friend anymore :(...Does she talk to you in person? If she does everything might be fine because maybe when she has a friend over she knows she'll get warped up into talking to you because you guys are best friends and she won't spend that much time with the friend she has over. You never really know. You should confront her ASAP though. You just might save your friendship with her... :)

Yes, I know its tempting to give in to your temptations and go all the way with a guy. But think about it, when you are married you will have nothing to worry about. You can say "You can have all of me" to your husband, instead of, "You can have whats left of me." I have a purity ring my dad gave it to me. Sometimes I just wanna throw it away, but then something stops me and I I know god has to do with it because I put the ring back on my finger and smile. And I think "God has great plans for me, why would i want to ruin it now???"

Yes, every once in a while a guy makes a nice comment about me. But not very often. If I got it too much I would be dreading going out in public! Plus my ego would be so high, I wouldn't have many freinds. I am quite content. I am not going to dress in a way to get attention though. I think every girl should dress modestly and not dress so revealing to get attention from guys. :)

Whenever I almost do anything like play tennis, volleyball, cheerleading, piano, etc, I always get nervous, but only when people are watching me. I always play bad at tennis when this one boy is there, but when he's not, I do fine. I know, I know, just block it out. But I try just to focus on what's going on on my court, but it's so hard. Anyone have any tips?

My mom and I got into a fight last night because i was sick and she didnt want to take me to the doctor. my friend is having a party tomorrow night and i really want to go but my mom says im grounded just because i confronted her with the fact that she is the ONLY one allowed to be sick! He is my next door neighbor and i think i should go anyways! She cant show her butt or we will get kicked out and if she tries to hit me she knows i will call the cops because i have before.
