Somnambulist answered Thursday December 23 2004, 5:25 pm: im a trainer and i never recomend shakes and powders for people, natural is the way to go. If you need more nutrients, add another meal to your diet. Also, talk to the trainers at your gym. [ Somnambulist's advice column | Ask Somnambulist A Question ]

Let's be honest shakes and powders don't really do the job. there is no sence in cheating your self with that junk. my advice is to eat things that give you more engery. Try Fruits and healthy cereals (wheaties, corn flakes, Cheerios, etc.). they have carbohydrates that give you more energy! but in your case if you want muscles... try PROTEIN. that is the nutrient that builds muscle and definition. (my personal favorite source of protein is peanut butter... yum! or any kind of animal product (eggs, chicken, red meat, etc.)) I hope i could help! Make sure to rate my advice!!!

My mom is a work out FREAK! She makes her shakes with protein powder. Called "WHYEY" and you can buy the powder in health food stores, GNS (General Nutrition Center.) they have their stores in the malls. But you can check online to see whats in your area. But the powder comes in different flavors, like vanilla and chocolate, and you just add water to it. You can add sugar but MORE CALORIES! LOL...
Good Luck with getting your muscle's bulked up :)
