Okay I have a lot of guys friends.. and Im a girl but that doesn't madder right?? A bunch of preps started calling me Kevin instead of Katie which is retarted! I dont like how everyone thinks Im apart of the guys. I dont dress like guys its just guys are more loyal they dont tell people what I say and don't stab or try to hurt eachother.. This kid named Nick someones whos never liked me called me Butch. And he was like Nick had no rigt to call you that. I was liek I know but Steven your probbaly gunna get ISS for this im not worth that.. hes parents are wicked strickt and will kill him! And he hugged me and was like trust me you are.. So i was like ooww I didnt know I maddered that much :D and I hugged his again when Mr.Saunders came in. Hes wicked cool and was oww young love we were like not Best Buds! and hes like Well Nicks going home.. we started laughing and Mr.Saunders was like I wanna hear you side of the story and Il talk to Nick tomarrow. So we explained he called me a slut, and butch and Kevin.. and Mr.Saunders was like it was a good reason, but didnt make it right. Which yeah we understand So Steven got ISS for 5 days.. Nicks probbaly gunna get it for six because of hurassment basicly i think.. and everyone was asking me questions because they heard me screaming and i was like what happen to Kevin? they were like oh and stoped talking to me and I explained things to Adam and stuff about what Steven said and he was like dude Katie if he even said Kevin infornt of me id kick his ass! so I donno why I feel like I need some girl friends.. I have Becky. And she hangs with the guys too and she was like to you think Steven likes you and i was like no its a brotherly love just like Adams and stuff. The people making fun of you are just jealous. Probably because they like the guy or are jealous that you have guy friends.

It seems to me like your guy friends care about you. I'm not sure if they like you, because only they know that. But there is a possiblity. Or they could just stick up for you because you're their friend and just like you said sister-ish.

It was really nice and sweet of Steve(n) to stick up for you like that. A lot of girls would love that.

Don't feel like you need to change your friends, i actually wish i had more guy friends. Myabe just make one oe two more girl friends.

Don't change the way you dress, it doesn't sound slutty. Guys and girls just lover calling other people that.

14/f I just got done doing a musical at a local teens summer theatre program and I got pretty close with my fellow cast members. I recently organized a group of kids from the show to take a subway out to the big city to go see a play together. Three people replied and said they wanted to go. Those three people are freshman, like me. However, my mom said needed an adult to supervise us once we get to the big city...meaning, to go see the play with us and walk us back and forth to the subway station. My director lives in the big city and he's the one who suggested the idea in the first place, so naturally I invited him to come along instead of a parent.

I was still a bit iffy about inviting the director, it might seem kind of awkward to have him in with a group of friends and people might think it spoils the fun. However, we still need an adult to come with us anyways, so it might as well be someone that everyone knows, right.......?

Anyhow, after I made my arrangements with the director, another girl in the cast emailed me and said she could come. I just discovered that she just became legally an adult, and we don't need the director to come because she's already technically an adult. However, I'm not really sure what I should do about the director. I'm sure the other kids would rather not have a much-older person around, yet I'm worried it would be rude to un-invite my director, especially because I know he had big insecurities about whether the cast liked him or not. What would you guys do?

You can't un-invite him. It was his idea and that would be extrememly rude of you to do. Also, he already thinks the cast hates him, this would just make him think it was true.

I think, your body is just going through a phase. this happened to me, it lasted for about two weeks. I think I got it because I was stressed with school and so busy with guys and friends that I just didn't notice it at first. I never felt hungry, and when I would eat it'd just be like, blaeh I can't or I'd feel really sick. What happened to me is after that I lost 10 pounds and my stomach shrank. Your stomach is probably going to shrink, but that might be a good thing, because no one eats the portions their body is supposed to have, they always over eat. But, after a month or two I was all back to normal, but still didn't gain the weight back since I worked out after that too.

Just force yourself to eat little pro-portions throughout the day.

First off-- I totally agree with Khadiya ( other columnist that answered your question. )

For instance, have you ever seen a movie, or t.v. show where this sort of thing happens. I know I have, and it was the exact same way, or the woman was never married also. Well, what happened was is the woman was very much in love with the man she had been having an affair with but, he was married. He kept telling the woman that he was going to divorce his wife. He always said " it wasn't the right time yet, " or " I'm too busy to go threw a divorce, " or " does it really matter if I'm married or not, we can still go on doing this , like we are now and it's working great ?" Since, she loved him so much, she believed him and stayed, but in reality he still loved his wife and didn't want to divorce her, but kept telling the other woman what she wanted to hear. He still had feelings for her, just not like he has for his wife. The other woman was, not a fling or a fuck, but it made him feel younger maybe.

So, that's what I think, I may be wrong. Who knows.

But, I think you should talk to him about it, figure out what path he is on, since you already know yours. Explain to him, that you're still young and can find someone else that loves you and will marry you since you are still young, and that you don't just want to be kept around, if you two don't have a future together. Ween yourself away from him, talk to him alittle bit less each week or so. Don't cut out talking to him, that's just too hard for someone who loves somebody to do. Unless you would want too. But, you are just a fool for his love.

Well, you could try dying your hair. That sometimes makes people look older. Also, you could cut your hair differently or let it grow out, depending on how you have it now. Or you could try styling or gel-ing it differently.

Another thing is that you could change the styling of your clothing. Also, sometimes being tanner makes you look older, so if your up for it go in a tanning bed. lol

my friend is in real trouble she is 14 doing drugs, drinking, smoking and sleeping around and i have just found out that she wants to overdose. But she won't tell me why, I've asked her and i keep trying to help her. Maybe she's pregnant, and doesn't know how to deal with it or tell her mom so she thinks dieing is better.

Or she knows she's messing up her life, and she thinks the only way she can fix it is by dieing.

Another BIG possibility, she's looking for attention. People who think about sucicide usually DON'T tell people about it.

All I can say is be there for her, because when she's ready to talk she will, you can't force her.

You could also tell her parents, they can get her help.

First off -- I don't understand why girls these days have to lie about getting their period. What makes them do this ? Having your period WILL NOT make you "cooler!"

Nothing can make your period come, it will come when your body is ready. And no, the masterbating will not affect it either.

Some girls don't get their period until they're older. Usually, the more athletic you are the later it comes. I don't understand why you would want it, it's a pain in the butt.

Just wait and be happy you don't have it. Having your period isn't all that great, you have to worry about when you are going to get it, cramps suck, you have to change your pad/tampon constantly, you get worried about if you're going to bleed onto your clothes, or if you can even go swimming.

So, wait it out.

It’s all about my ol bff kut. I live pon and zi and he fought with my other friend on who was my penguin. Talked about my favorite songs. But ive never told him my favorite songs. Whenever I'm in a car, I'll look over and they'll be a hott guy in the car next to me and he'll be STARING at me. It's so annoying! Guys always do that. And I went to Yankee Stadium and guys were staring at my ass and I wasn't wearing anything revealing! Haha, this happens to people, and myself all the time. Girls could be wearing sweat pants, a hoodie, with their hair up and guys will STILL check them out. It's just how things go.

You don't have to do anything to make them look at you, but they still will. The thing about no guy staring at you at school, but out of school its constant, this is exactly the same with me. I'm sure the guys at school are checking you out, but you don't notice it.

I'd just have fun with it. Laugh about it, I'm sure your dad doesn't really find it weird, he was a teenage boy at one time. So don't be embarrassed.

If so, that is there url, myspace address. They put it on their pictures so people can't take them.

There are a lot of weird people on myspace and they like to take people pictures, and make a myspace pretending they are that person. Ecspecially of scene people.

So, they put it on there to minimize or eliminate their chances of that.

Also, some people just like it.. but that is usually not the case.

okay , so im fourteen . and i want to start using a tampon , because well pad's are nasty . and well , i tryed a small tampon and i put it in halfway before i took it out and when i took it out it hurt . my hymen isnt broken yet , thats why . idk what to do . because i wanna use one , but like ahhhh it hurts :/ and feels funny .

The reason why it hurt when you took it out, just like the person below me said, was because usually tampons absorb the blood which makes it easier and less painful to pull the tampon out. That's like, say for instince you put your DRY finger in your mouth, bit down and tried to pull it out. Now, try and WET your finger and put it in your mouth, bite down and try to pull it out. A lot easier huh?

And, no it didn't hurt more because your hymen wasn't broken. That has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Okay, to try to use one. First, read the instrutions on the back, they really helped me. Then just sit down on the toliet, and try to put the tampon in. It really isn't that hard at all. I'm guessing you have the ones with the applicators on it, little plastic tube, so it should be very easy. Well, once you have it in, or you think you do. Of course, take the tube off lol. Than take your finger (this may sound gross) and push the tampon in more. Don't worry, there is no way to loose your tampon in you.


When you stand up, sit down, run, swim, anything you should NOT feel any pain or discomfort, like you could feel the tampon in you. If so, the tampon is not in all the way.

I'm a 19 year old female who is getting married soon and I am meeting my new soon to be inlaws now and things aren't going so great. My problem is that we were all outside smoking and I had my fiance's and mine cigarettes and he came over and told me to give him a cigarette. I told him that I would if he would ask me, so he said give me a fuckin cigareete. I kept saying that if he said please and asked me I would so he got mad and walked away. His aunt is over protected and he's a mommas boy. She got mad at me and I feel like I did something wrong when I think I didn't do anything. I don't know how to handle this cause I know he will not stand up to her. I want us to handle our disagreements in private. Don't know what to do please help me....!!!!

Well, maybe they didn't like what you asked him to do about the cigareete. I, personally, feel that what you did was a little controling. He is not a child and does not need to be told to ask nicely to have a cigareete. He is an adult and can do as he pleases, and shouldn't be told what do to by his fiance, especially since what you told him to do was kind of " mother-ish " like.

And, of course his mother doesn't like you. You're taking her baby son away from her. She feels that he is growing up too fast. That he won't need her anymore since he has you. This is often common in a mother-son relationship, rather in a mother-daughter. In a mother-daughter relationship , the mother is happy and excited that their daughter is getting married. In the other case, the mother is sad and worried that her son will not need her anymore, to cook, clean, ect.

His family is like that because they're looking out for him, and trying to see what's best.

Couples always want their disagreements to happen and be discused in private but it doesn't always happen that way.

So, I would give it alittle time and I think you are overreacting about this situation.
