i just found mary is cutting again after she promised her bf and i that she wouldnt do that anymore i think she is cutting because of me my family is screwed up right now and i just moved away and she really misses me we talk like once a day but we barely ever get to see eachother cuz i live and hour or so away should i tell her bf?i dont think she is doing to deep tho also if you tell me to tell her pearents it is a wate of time because it is not serious enough at this point

this seems to be a tough situation. talk to mary first. tell her that she needs to be open & honest with her bf, because cutting does not help her. explain that if she doesn't tell him, you will have to because you care about her. you can't let her keep cutting. you need to tell someone about this. why?? things can get a lot worse & you don't want her endanger. talk to someone about it & see what you can do.

14/f. okay in the past month or so i've noticed that in the back of my head there is this spot of hair that is very oily. it is right in the back of my head all the way at the top by my scalp. it is very annoying and it actually LOOKS oily. so here are my questions:

1) what is it??
2) how do i get rid of it??

you should probably try a bunch of shampoos. there's a few options for this. you can buy dove [which comes in a white bottle with a blue cap]. on the bottle it says 'cleaning' which means it's for that. there's also the aussie shampoo that comes in a purple bottle with kangaroos on it. it's a root cleanser+tip mender, basically meaning it cleans everything. the reason for it being oily, maybe because you sweat & haven't been washing your hair properly. since it is in the back of your head, you could've missed the spots. also, you can look for shampoos for oily hair.

Ok, weird question...

My son is 8 years old and his height and weight is quite normal. He is at about the 50th percentile on the charts.

His feet have not grown in 3 years. He has worn the same size 1 shoes since kindergarten!

I never thought anything about it until we were shoe shopping last night and my husband seemed worried and said we should call the doctor.

Do you think it's normal and that he has slow feet, or maybe his growth is stunted??

i don't think this is totally weird, but could be a problem in the future if it isn't checked out. my friend [whos around 16] wears a size 4 shoe & is a bit short, but girls her size have been wearing size 7s. he is only 8 years old. if you are really worried, you can take him to a family doctor. you also have to take into account, that since he is 8, he most likely did not hit puberty yet. once puberty hits, his feet will probably grow tremendously. if not, then you should start worrying. it would not be a bad idea to see a doctor about this.

I'm 13 and I'm a girl

there are 2 guys. one (we'll call him T) i knew for 2 weeks and one (we'll call him E) i knew for 8 weeks and both were during the summer. Both of them liked me. T is peverted, but fun. and E is sweet and shy and nice. Both of them don't go to my school and both of them asked me out, but i said no cause i wouldn't see them all school year. E i will see again once over the school year and then next summer for a few weeks, but T i will not see ever again unless i make plans with him ( but he lives far away) . I like both of them and I don't know if i should stop talking to T online, and just forget him or what should i do? By the way, both of them don't know about eachother cause I met them at diffrent camps. I also told E that we would hook up next summer if we still liked eachother.

okay, many questions like these have been asked a jabillion times. i have answered a few & so i'm going to say that its your decision. no one can decide for you or give you our opinion. why?? because it's up to you. if you go for T or E, whichever you choose, & it fails, you can't say "oh well someone told me this would've been the better answer, great, now what." i can definately say though that you should make a pros/con list out've this. pick out every good thing & bad thing about T & E & decide from there. don't base your decision on someone's opinion. it's totally up to you. also, it wouldn't be a bad idea talking to them about it.

So i have been playing basketball ever since the summer before 6th grade. ((im in 9th grade now)) basketball hasnt started yet this season but im kind of scared because last year i was on my schools team and first the first couple of games i play maybe a little less then half the games but then the last couple of games the coach put me and another person in for only the last 4 fricken minutes!!! like it really pissed me off but there were alot of good players on our team. But it was weird because everyone always told me i was really good and i knew i was good cause i could make a basket from anywhere! so i dont know what happened. ive been running alot so i can get faster this year and of course ive been playing practicing basketball but i dont know what happened last year. should i continue to play even after last year? also i love the sport!

you basically answered it yourself. you love the sport so play. i play too & a lot of the time i have no idea what coaches are thinking when they do things, but 90% of the time they know what you're doing. just find ways to show your coach you want to play & that you can do what they want.

Is there any type of site where I can download paint shop for free ? Because id really like to edit my pictures for myspace nicely. You know how some peoples pictures on myspace ; they have a white fade type frame around the outside of the picture & they can also change the color to like purple or something. But just certain parts of it. I tried to google it but nothing came up. So if you can send me a site to where I can download it for free just to do that sorta stuff id really appreciate it. i think "free ringtones" is an oxymoron. basically, you need to pay somehow. i would suggest going to the t-mobile website & see if you can get ringtones through them. if you use sites like jamster, they charge monthly & are sometimes scams.

I haven't gotten much sleep lately.

I stayed up until 5 in the morning yesterday. Wide awake.
I managed to fall asleep somehow.
I woke up at 8 or something.. and I wasn't tired.
I kept forcing myself to fall back asleep.

I dont know what's going on.

I keep waking up every hour and make myself dream something so I'm "asleep"

I'm.. not tired.. just wide awake.

But during the day, I'm yawning like 5 times in a row.

You can tell that I'm tired, with these huge bags under my eyes... but I can't sleep.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out.
Does this have anything to do with my sleeping problem?

I have had insomnia before, but that was about 3 years ago.

I've tired doing things to fall asleep.
Watch boring tv shows, read, counting, blah blah.

a few of my friends had their wisdom teeth taken out & slept a lot a few days after. i'm not saying that you have a huge problem or anything, but i would highly suggest going to a family doctor. obviously, one day you're going to fall asleep, because to live, you need sleep. it would be better going to see a doctor, because they can help you a lot. until then, try resting. lay on the couch, watch tv, maybe just close your eyes & rest. listen to music when you try. sometimes that can help.

heyy. I'm 14/f.

Okayy. I know, that you just 'know' when you're inlove with someone. But, I feel like I know, that I'm inlove with this boyy. Like, wherever I go, the first kid I see, reminds me of him. Like does everyone do that? & like, I'm always thinking about him.. & like, I could go on forever. But anyways, I'm usually not this type of person. I'm usually the type of person.. thay says.."Oh, no you can't be inlove at 14. You know when you're older. You just really like them, or are obbessed with them." ..& I usually tell myself that too. But, this time.. I don't. I dated him awhile back, like last yearish. I've never gotten over him...

He broke up with me then. [I don't know if that would help why I like him so much in anyway?] We've had... moments. Hes said things to me, that could knock a girl off her feet, type thing. But, I don't have all the confidence, in the world in myself. So, sometimes.. I think he says it to everyone? Sometimes.. I feel like he really likes me too. & other times... I'm not sure. When you love someone, this is what I've also always thought & said.. when you love someone, it takes two people? One person can't love someone.. it's like peanut butter & jelly. But, of couse.. I don't know if he likes me. Theres things that have happened.. that I believe its fate. I really don't know.

I guess, what I really need advice on, is well.. helping me out & telling me, what you think of the situation. & if I should move on.. or not. & how to get over him. I'm not sure if I so much need advice.. or just someone to talk to me. & tell me what they think. Just pleasse answer. Thankyouuu.

no one can really tell you if you should move on or not. it probably wouldn't be a bad idea since you broke up. talk to him about it. if you guys can be friends, that's not a bad thing. no one can give you an answer for this. it's totally your decision. let him know how you feel. i was in love at age 13 and were still together & its been years. soo yeah, juss talk to him and truly see how he feels. if he doesn't have feelings towards you, maybe juss try moving on & being friends.

mmk so my bestfriend since 6th grade and i started going out in 9th. we had this whole crazy connection, i cant be without you kind of relationship.(this was in 9th grade) well he wasnt actually allowed to date soo i only saw him at school and i think schools really important and when we started going out my grades dropped super low. because school was all "boyfriend time". and so i freaked out and pushed him away. and now its 10th grade and he hasnt really talked to me since. and i still love him. he doesnt really know what happened.. how do i get him back or to atleast get him to talk to me..he means the world to me..

you really have to approach him about this. explain the whole situation. if he cares about you, he'll listen. he was probably just surprised that you pushed him away & he didn't know the reason. tell him you have to talk to him & its very important. he should at least give you 5 minutes of his time. that way, you can explain the entire situation. he should understand, because school is really important. if he means a lot to you, you should explain absolutely everything. that way you can guys can work things out & start by being friends again.

When I try to view my old questions, I click on "Your Questions", then "All Questions". Then I scroll down to the bottom and press on page 2 [it's a link]. But then no questions are there. I can only see my old questions on page one. How can I see my old questions?

the questions that are there are ones you never deleted. if you deleted questions, they aren't there. the only questions there are old ones you never deleted. if you are looking for a certain question that you didn't delete, you should ask DN about it.

how do you change the colors, and customize it?

you can just change the colors by going to either profile settings or column settings. you'll need to use either color codes-

OR you can use a background. you can get backgrounds from either-

at those sites, you can get backgrounds by using the search bar. you can type in anything you want. a few examples are stars, stripes, hearts, dots, etc. i'd suggest using tinypic to upload them. after that, you use the HTML code to put it in your settings. it's basically the same way you get a picture for your column. there's also premade layouts in the Miscellaneous section called Backgrounds.

Right, just a quick question. A guy mate (or possibly more...) of mine is coming over tomorow. i'm kinda nervous anyway, but I don't know what time he's coming over. I texted him the other day asking what time he wants to come round, and I'm too scared to call him. What do I do?!

you have to call him. you want to be home when he comes over & then you don't want to be waiting around all day or be disappointed if he doesn't. you shouldn't be nervous. you're just confirming your plans, that's all. plus, he probably wants you too. he might not even answer & then you can leave a voice mail. you really do have to ask him. if you're too nervous to call him, you'll have a lot of trouble when he comes over.

hi. I am a 13/f and i started my period about 6 months ago. I play soccer alot and do track in school. I have never used a tampon, only pads. My mom wont bring the subject up and i'm too nervous to ask her how to use it or if I can use them. talk to your mom about it. why are you nervous?? she is your mom & a woman. there are directions on the box, but idk why it's such a big deal. she's been through this too.

in every layout, there's a spot for you to put a URL of whatever you want. i'm not sure if this would be the best idea, because of all the boxes on myspace, you wouldn't be able to see it. for this reason, i'll give you a myspace background code. here's the code-

i got a problem the guy i like is going to a different school this year than me cause i'm in 9th grade and he is in 10th. we've talked this summer but not much he asked me if i'd come a see him cause i do track at his new school i said yeah. the problem is i miss him so much and i'm scared he'll get another chick. you can't really keep someone with you. if you are suppose to be together, you will be. you can see him on the weekends or maybe hang out sometimes on like holiday break or something. you can talk on the phone & online. talk to him about this. juss let him know you want to stay friends & you want to be able to talk to him & what not. it wouldn't be a bad idea to tell him how you feel. that way, when he goes to his new school, he'll know that. you guys can date even though you don't go to the same school. that way, he won't date other girls or whatever. juss try talking to him about it.
