So for my photography project instead of writing about a story i kinda have to interpret it in photos. I'm lost with what to take photos of cause i don't really have anything interesting around me or any one to photograph any suggestions ideas anything will be helpful.

So you are trying to create a narrative with photos?
Sometimes the things that we see the most can be made interesting through a good photographer. Maybe you can try documenting something, like a runner's route, your drive home, a hike through the woods, or what you made for dinner [for example, the life and death of a lobster that you cook, it can be something as simple as that].
Try to think of your favorite movies, what kinds of stories do they tell? What do you find interesting? You can explore relationships between different things, or abstract ideas and concepts.
It might also help you to research famous photographers. Cindy Sherman did self-portrait movie stills that told stories. Andreas Gursky explores concepts of capitalism. Sometimes finding out about other people's ideas can inspire your own.

So I am going to see my two favorite bands on October 17. They are August Burns Red and Bring Me The Horizon. I really would love this concert. I asked my best friend who likes them too and she can't go due to cheerleading. So I asked my other friend who doesn't know the bands but would have fun.. mom said no. My other friends either can't go, don't want to go, or I don't want them to go. I'm really bummed because I was really looking forward to this and now I don't have anyone to go with. I know I could go by myself but I think I wouldn't have as much fun if I have no one to talk to.. I would feel awkward.
This really sucks. Advice please.
if you can't find anyone to go with, go by yourself. it's weird at first to be by yourself at a show, but it forces you to interact with people.
I used to go to shows by myself at your age all the time, always had fun, boosted my confidence. august burns red puts on a great show, and unless you're standing in the corner afraid of what people are thinking about you, you'll enjoy yourself. people won't be judging you if you are by yourself, and you might meet some awesome people.

And neither had my best friend, but recently she’s been hanging around this girl who is her “New school best friend” cause we go to different schools. But I’ve always been her regular best friend. This girl she’s hanging out with wants her to smoke pot with her next weekend, and my friend is trying to play it cool like she doesn’t care. But I know she does. I told her she shouldn’t do it and she was like “it’s only one time, and plus it’s already been decided.”
That’s what everyone who does pot says, that they’re only going to do it one time. But before she knows it she’s gonna get more comfortable with doing it and such… and I don’t know. I know I can’t change her mind for her. But is there any way I could talk her out of it or something? Cuz pot sort of ruined my life, even though I’ve never done it. I had a bad experience with a boyfriend who dumped me because I wouldn’t smoke pot with him and stuff. It just… pisses me off I guess that she would do something like that and not even talk to me about it.

I've been in similar situations. There's no real good way to talk someone out of it- they've made a decision and need to think for themselves regardless of how smart that decision is. You don't want to bombard them with anti-pot facts or anything, that will just push them away. I'd say just tell them that you hope they don't do anything stupid [driving, things they normally wouldn't do when sober], and say you're still there for them.
Plenty of people smoke pot, not saying it's right or wrong, but it happens. You have your stance on drugs, it is a personal decision. It's hard to see your best friend change like that but it's really not something you can prevent. Just hope that it doesn't change her drastically.
Nothing wrong with being straightedge by the way. I'm 21 and have been it all my life, never touched alcohol or drugs or cigs or any of that, and most of my friends are drinkers, smokers, etc. But it's all about mutual respect, they respect me, I respect them [although I do worry about them sometimes]. Hopefully your friend can continue to respect your distance from substances, even if she experiments with them.
I have an env2 and it will just randomly turn off. It happens pretty frequently and I think it might have something to do with being closed to quickly. Is there any way I can fix this?
I have the same problem. I think the problem is due to the battery connection. Sometimes if the back cover moves even slightly, the phone will turn off. Try pressing the back back cover, see if that makes it turn off.
If you take it to a verizon store they might do a software upgrade or even replace your phone.

I did that and haven't had problems, although it might void your warranty or something so I'd take it to the verizon store before you try anything at home. Good luck!

I know close to nothing about photography but I really want a digital slr camera this year. I'm sick of the point-and-shoot cameras with their shutter lag & crap pictures. I want a great camera that will take close up portraits and wide angle. I'm really not sure what kind of beginner dslr camera I should get. I'm on a tight budget, I want this camera to only cost around 650 dollars or less. I've heard the d40 is a great beginner camera but it's from like 2007! I want an updated dslr with enough megapixels! Please help me.
The D40 is a great camera, the age of it really isn't relevant unless you are a professional or have been taking photos for years. The lenses on the camera are more important than the camera body itself.
This probably sounds way out there, but I always suggest starting out with a classic slr, meaning a film slr. Film forces you to compose and think about shots before taking them, it will force you to use the camera as a tool for art, not snapshots that you could get with a p&s camera. With the right film slr, you will learn how to manually operate a camera, so when you move to digital, you will be experienced and able to expand your artistic ability even more.
Go for the D40, or similarly, the Canon Rebel XT. The kit 18-55 lens is good for wide angle [unless you're talking fisheye, a good fisheye lens will run you over $600]. Pick up a 50mm lens, the f1.8 50mm "nifty fifty" is perfect for portraits.
If you get the dslr, use it well, [not saying you do these things but] not just for pictures of your pets, or yourself in a mirror, because if you're doing that then what is the point of getting a nice camera. But I know the frustration of the limits of a p&s camera, and I think the D40 is a great move if you have the money.
More info btw: megapixels are overrated. Unless you are planning on enlarging your prints to huge sizes, megapixels don't matter, anything above 7.0 is fine.

A pretty common term for it is 'bokeh' [it's a japanese term].

It's basically how the aperture that the photographer uses interprets the depth of field. A large aperture, such as f1.4, will provide excellent depth of field.
Another interesting note: you can purchase lenses that have different shaped apertures other than circles [stars, triangles, etc.], and then the bokeh would be the shape of the aperture opening.

a little background : my cats 13 1/2 years old , persian, indoor.
my vet said to give my cat metamucil because her colon is kinda stopped up. but, my cat will not eat wet food, so how do i give it to her ? i put a little on her dry food yesterday but that hasnt done much. can i put it in her water ?

You should be able to put it in the water, although if your cat doesn't drink much water I don't know what the effectiveness of that would be. You figure their bodies are much smaller than ours, so even a small dose may have an effect.
Can you mix wet and dry food and mix the metamucil in with that? Or even just take the juice from wet food and put that on a dish with the fiber powder? Perhaps tuna juice mixed with metamucil?
My cat won't eat wet food either so I don't know of any other solutions. Good luck though!
I know that tattoo's ruin job prospects, but to what extent? I have a tattoo on my upper arm- the middle of my bicep and tricep. People barely see it because its never warm enough here to wear short sleeves. Would it ruin job prospects even if you cant see them? like..if they would be covered with a shirt?
I read about a firm in japan, if you showed anyone a tattoo, you would be fired. what do you all think?
Yeah, you're not gonna get fired for a tattoo that no one ever sees.
I've held a few different jobs, oddly enough the blue collar work was more strict about tattoos than the white collar work I did. When I worked for a state department doing paperwork, I could show any tattoos I wanted to. It all depends on the job and the work environment.

I'm assuming you mean Dallas and not George. Dallas has a solo project called City And Colour, two albums released so far. It's nothing like Alexisonfire, it's acoustic folk.
I don't know what Alexisonfire you've heard, if it's their latest album then I'd recommend listening to the first and second albums, much better in my opinion.
Try Silverstein, Circa Survive, I Am Ghost, Emery, Brand New, As Cities Burn, A Day To Remember. RX Bandits has a great singer, although it's a different style of music. Escape The Fate, Bayside, Autopilot Off, Enter Shikari. If you end up liking City And Colour, check out Anthony Green. Alexisonfire kind of stands out on their own though in terms of their vocal talent.
im looking for a new digital SLR camera ( i like the nikon d60...i have a friend who has one and i love it!)
i was wondering what the differences are between nikons and canons, or what my best choice might be!
i also want to buy a fisheye lens, so i was wondering where i could find a cheeaaaap one (i know they are usually in like the 400 range...but is there anything in the 100 range? or is that just rediculous?)

If you're already familiar with nikon then go for that. I have a rebel xt [hopefully upgrading soon] and it's great. Amazon probably has the best prices. The camera body is not as important as the lenses you put on it. Start with the kit lens, it's not that bad. Pick up a 50mm f1.8 lens then, they're cheap but you'll use it all the time.
Fisheye lens: Try and pick up an Opteka 42x wide angle lens. You'll probably have to search ebay, or maybe you'll get lucky and find one on amazon. But it's worth the search, it's cheaper than a true fisheye but does all the same things and is very sharp.
Other than that, there are other attachable lenses to get fisheye effects. Although I wouldn't recommend spending a lot on one because fisheye is sort of a one trick pony [although I use it all the time myself]. Good luck on your new camera.
i got a tattoo on my foot about 3 months ago, and it's already fading a little and isn't as bright as it was. are there any things i can do to enhance the color and keep it looking really good even though it's already done healing?
Lotion! Put lotion on it [lubriderm sensitive skin therapy is what I use] after showering and in the morning. Moisturizing daily makes your tattoo bright.
Avoid sun exposure, even just walking outside for a bit can affect the tattoo, so either use a lotion with spf included or use sunscreen when outside.
If you think it's an issue with the tattoo itself, most reputable places offer free touch-ups.
It could also depend on your natural skin tone. I am very pale and therefore my tattoos appear to be very bright, tanner skin will make them appear more faded and dull.

I voted for Obama, it was my first time voting [I'm 20 now]. If for some reason I could go back in time I would still vote for him. I don't care if he's black, what does that have to do with leading a country. I am hoping that his healthcare plan goes through because, selfishly, it would really help me out. I also hope that he helps out students in college. And third point, I think it'd be great if he could fix up our international relations. He's not perfect but who is. I was wondering which guitar is overall a better quality. I know neither of them are top notch, but right now I'm not looking for a top notch guitar.
I play more rock and metal, which I hear the Epiphone is better suited for that, and the Squier is more suited for bluesy type stuff.
I already have a Fender acoustic, so I was originally going to get a Fender as well, but I've almost been leaning more to the Epiphone.

Don't get the Squier. If you want a Fender, save up for one that is built better.
The Epiphone you picked has decent tone, I'd go with that.
Check around craigslist and even local guitar shops, maybe you can find a nice Strat or Mustang for a good price.

I bought one of those Wolf Dakota disposable film cameras and When I got the pictures, I only received two out of about 30. One, was extremely dark and had a lot of grain. The other one was blurry. The other ones didn't come out. Why did this happen?
I was careful about having enough light. I placed the camera down so no camera shake. I wasn't too close to the subjects. I placed the camera somewhere safe when I wasn't using it.
So why didn't most of my pictures come out or even look good? Did I do something wrong or did the person that developed them do something wrong?
There's a few explanations. I'm assuming you got negatives back with your prints, check those and see if the store forgot to print the other photos. If the negatives are blank, that means your pictures were either under or over exposed.
You say that you had enough light, and nothing was blocking the lens correct? Some disposable and cheaper film cameras won't produce results even with what seems like adequate light, some only truly work outdoors with natural, bright light.
If you're sure that you did everything correct on your part, it could definitely be that the person developing the pictures screwed up by exposing the film. Sadly, it's not unheard of [it's happened to me many times which is why I now develop my own film] because film photography is a dying breed and people are not trained properly to handle it. It's an honest mistake on the part of the developer, but I suggest taking the negatives to where you got them developed and ask for a refund or a discount on your next film development. It sucks but once the film is messed up, there's nothing you can do.

i am with verizon and I am looking for a phone with a keyboard. I am looking between the EnV2 black and the Voyager. I hear the EnV2 evidently breaks or something or the screen breaks and it randomly sends txts messages if you put it in ur pockey because the buttons rub against your pocket. But the voyager..i heard it's too big to fit in your jean pocket, and it's also a touch screen. Ive also heard the touch screens break too. I like both phones. I need something with a keyboard is most deffinetly. Camcorder and a camera is nice too. I just dont know which one to decide on..bc idk if the rumors are true or not about these phones. Help me out here! =D
Well I have the EnV2 and I think it's a great phone. Unlike the original EnV, you can now set it so you have to press two buttons on the front to unlock it, greatly reducing the chance that it will randomly dial and text while in your pocket. If you take care of it I don't think it will break, I've dropped it a lot and it's fine. The camera is very nice as well. If you buy a memory card, it's also nice to put music on your phone.
I did not like the Voyager when I tried it out in the store, but that is personal opinion. I felt that the EnV2 is more durable than the Voyager, and also a better size.
