im looking for a new digital SLR camera ( i like the nikon d60...i have a friend who has one and i love it!)
i was wondering what the differences are between nikons and canons, or what my best choice might be!
i also want to buy a fisheye lens, so i was wondering where i could find a cheeaaaap one (i know they are usually in like the 400 range...but is there anything in the 100 range? or is that just rediculous?)
anyways, any tips on cameras, where to look, what to get, anything is greatly appreciated
:)

I have a rebel xt [hopefully upgrading soon] and it's great. Amazon probably has the best prices. The camera body is not as important as the lenses you put on it. Start with the kit lens, it's not that bad. Pick up a 50mm f1.8 lens then, they're cheap but you'll use it all the time.
Fisheye lens: Try and pick up an Opteka 42x wide angle lens. You'll probably have to search ebay, or maybe you'll get lucky and find one on amazon. But it's worth the search, it's cheaper than a true fisheye but does all the same things and is very sharp.
Other than that, there are other attachable lenses to get fisheye effects. Although I wouldn't recommend spending a lot on one because fisheye is sort of a one trick pony [although I use it all the time myself]. Good luck on your new camera. [ denialsam's advice column | Ask denialsam A Question ]
