Despite him being middle of the growth charts right now he may end up being on the short side depending of course on the family genes which would make it very normal that he has small feet. Also it could be that he will be due for a growth spurt usually around 8-9 boys especially shoot up and out. I would ask your doctor next time he goes for a check up but it is nothing to worry about excessively.
If he has been otherwise healthy and there were never any suspected genetic disorders I would just wait and see.

xomegaroni answered Wednesday August 23 2006, 2:33 pm: i don't think this is totally weird, but could be a problem in the future if it isn't checked out. my friend [whos around 16] wears a size 4 shoe & is a bit short, but girls her size have been wearing size 7s. he is only 8 years old. if you are really worried, you can take him to a family doctor. you also have to take into account, that since he is 8, he most likely did not hit puberty yet. once puberty hits, his feet will probably grow tremendously. if not, then you should start worrying. it would not be a bad idea to see a doctor about this.
