My parents smoke pot and I've always known that but I have been taught in school that POT IS BAD. I want them to stop but I'm afraid to tell them. Is it really that bad?

Your parents should be setting a good example for you. By them smoking pot, they are telling you it is ok. Tell your parents that you are worried about their behavior and they are setting a poor example for their daughter. You want to be able to look up to them, and have them around for the next fifty years. Not dead from lung cancer.

I think the advice you gave your friend is great, no matter what age you are. It is always a good idea to get to know the person before you start a relationship. That is what a first date is, just getting to know eachother, and see if you are compatible. Tell her to be pacient and don't rush things, just hang out with him at school and see if a close friendship with him develops, and then she can start thinking about a relationship.

You brother is far to young to be looking for a girlfriend, and especially on the internet. Tell him he should enjoy his childhood while he is a child. He will have plenty of time when he is older to date.

My friend told me that me an dmy boyfriend make a good couple but he never talks to me even though we just started goign out like a day ago.. But still.. How can you be a good couple if you don't even talk to eachother? You two are just shy and unsure of what to do. That is why he is not talking to you. If you like him talk to him! He won't be surprized to see you comming since apparently he is your boyfriend.

If you just got together with this boy and still get nervous around him, this is the perfect opportunity to be yourself around him. You'll be with your friends, and they will help you feel comfortable. There will be more conversation so you won't have akward moments of silence. And why aren't you skating? It is a good excuse to get close and hold hands. By the end of the night you will be more confident around him and the nervousness will fade.

hey i was listening to the radio and i only caught the end to this. it was talkin about gettin some collage credits while your in high school. it said for 8th and 9th grades could join but i really dont know it there was an 1-800 in there but here the number. if anyone could call it and tell me what it is all a bout i would really really like that. Why don't you call the radio station and ask for the number, and then call yourself. I highly doubt anyone on this site was listening to your radio station, nor live in your area code.

my mom has babysat for her friends for over a year or 2 and this one of them has hardly paid her for it and still owes her like $300. one night i babysat for her and was supposed to get $10 for it. but i never did. how can i get the money without being rude or asking for it?

Next time you see her just bring it up casualy. "Hey do you have the money you owe me for babysitting?" If your nice about it, she will have a hard time saying no. And if she doesn't pay you, forget about it, it's $10. Just say no next time she asks you to babysit.

i really want to babysit for someone. how do i start a babysitting job so i can earn some money? i am in 7 grade is that too old or too young? if i cant do any babysitting what other job can i do at my age? how do i go about finding babysitting jobs?

Start with your family & neighbors. Just knock on their doors and introduce yourself and your service. Maybe even make a little buissness card, it will make you look more responsible and it will be easier for people to pass your name on. If you go to church post your name on a bullitin board. There is always someone looking for a sitter.
You could also try and get a paper route, but they are usually more work then they are worth.

$5-$6 an hour. Add another $2 for each extra kid. The best way to make sure you get paid well is to tell the parents how much you charge before you accept the job.

Maybe you should take a break from boys, you have no clue what you want. Take some time for youself to grow and mature. Relationships at this age never work out anyway. When you know what you want out of life, the easier it will be to find a guy you connect with.

Should I run away from home?

Do you think running away from home is the best solution? Where would you go? How would you pay for food? Talk to your family about whatever it is that is upseting you. Don't be angry, act like an adult, and they will talk to you like an adult. If you just can't talk to your family talk to a teacher or counlser, somebody. Just don't run away, it will do more bad than good.

Hi, I'm "Joanna" and my two best friends "Martina and Danielle" have been friends since 4th grade(we're now in sixth). But since the beginning of this year, Martina has left me and Danielle behind. She never talks to us, and we haven't made any friendly contact with her for ages. But now her and her (new) idiotic friend "Lorey" have been kinda harassing me. They've called my house before, saying they were Danielle but I knew better and wouldn't talk. I've had skittles thrown at me. Her and her new cooler friends were sitting at a table next to us one day at lunch, and they kept pointing and whispering about who knows what. I try to just ignore them, but it doesn't seem to work at all! What do I do?!

Unfortantally people chage as they get older, especially at this age. You are learning so many things and changing your ideals everyday. Some of my best friends in grade school I never said a word to in high school. We just went are seperate ways. Your friend is changing who she is and doesn't connect with you anymore. It's sad though that she can't at least be nice.

My best advice is to hold your head up high and keep ignoring them. Don't let them see that they are getting to you, the harassing should hopefuly die down. And make some new friends to show her that you have moved on. Stay positive!

i hate school...how do i not hate it?

Well what is it exactaly that you hate, and what grade are you in?

If you feel really comfortable around him like you said, then you should be able to talk to him. Writing a note to ask someone out is so impersonal. How is he suppose to respond to a note?

Don't be shy, Talk to the boy, if your face to face at least you will get an answer out of him. Confidence in yourself makes you more attractive.

I have been looking on the net for software that can help me look for skipped tenants. I do not want to hire this out, I want to be able to do it.I saw that there was software named NetDetective, but I don't know if it is legite or what. Staples and Best Buy have not heard of it. So, does any one know of software that will help me look up people's credit history (for future tenants) and be able to track down skipped tenants???? PLEASE HELP!!

I beleive it is illegal for you to check other peoples credit reports...

Requirements for Accessing Credit Reports:

To guard against abuse and to protect your privacy, the FCRA requires that all businesses must meet the following requirements before they are allowed to access credit information:
-Proof of a permissible purpose under federal law
-A background check and on-site inspection of the business
-A current business license
-A signed contract requiring the business to use the data properly

The only time your credit report can be accessed without your permission is in prescreening for credit offers or if a judge subpoenas your credit information.

I checked out NetDetective online and it says you can check your credit history. It doesn't say other peoples. Sorry.

It does not say other peoples.
I just don't want you to buy a product that is leading you to beleive that it is something that it is not.

Checking peoples credit history is illegal unless it is approved by the FCRA.

My 2 best guy friends are going away to college this summer. There is an age distance between both of us. I really have become close to both of them recently. I don't want to lose them, see one is going off to college somewhere around 20-35 miles away from here and the other is 3 and a half hours. I never want to lose them, how do I keep from being upset, and continue the friendship?

Your friends aren't going that far away so don't worry, you'll still see them! 30 miles isn't far at all, I live that far from work. For the guy 3 hours away, you can still see him on the weekends. I am sure he will come home to see his family. Your lucky, when my husband and I were dating, he was going to school in Seattle, WA and I was in Minneapolis, MN. We made it work by always keeping in touch and talking everyday. Yes it is easy to loose friendships when you hardley see them, but if you just work at it a little and keep in touch you will be able to maintain your friendship!

It is a fact of life that guys maturbate, even if they have a good sex life. So you can't get too upset for him doing it. Although doing it while you are in the same room is disrespectful. Try to be more understanding with him. Let him know that it is ok to masturbate, but just not while you are at home.

Go to the Edit Settings link. Under Part 5: Column Colors, You can change the pages background color. There is a link above that has color choices and codes for the color. Pick a color and put the code into the text box.

For a picture go to Part 3:
Where it says upload a picture of you, click the browse button and you can choose a picture file from your computer. It has to be a pretty small file.

You can get neat pictures at this site: http://www.animationfactory.com

Right click on an image and choose save as to save it to your computer.

I was the one who wrote about being out on strike. I had to pick a different category because I was afraid it would erase my question. Anyway, I got a job at a pizza restauraunt, and I like it. The people are nice, and the job seems fairly easy. The problem is, I have to take a bus there, and some of my family are worried about me. I wouldn't take one after dark, and it's only a fifteen-minute ride, so I don't know what the big deal is. They think that I should go back to the store, since the strike is being settled. I'm supposed to vote on what they settle on, but I don't see the point if I'm not going back. I was unhappy there for 6 years, and was not being promoted. I don't think that the company is going to give us a fair deal, and even though I get insurance from my husband's job, and it doesn't affect me, I still feel I don't want to work for such an unethical company. My sister understands, and says I don't have to go back. I will apply at a drug store as soon as it's finished being built that is close to my home. This job is only temporary, and I really like it. I think I should stick with it. What do you think?

It sounds to me that you are old enough to take care of your self, and your family shouldn't be worring about you taking the bus. What are they so worried about anyway? The bus is not dangerous. I used the city bus all the time in college in downtown Minneapolis. Stay with the job you are happy at.
