I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

I don't think it's weird if that is what you want.
Taxidermy isn't cheap, (prices vary) but if you called around to nearby taxidermists you may find one who will cut you a fair deal.
Some places may want to charge you $50, others $150+ it just depends on the place.

I am only sixteen years old. i have a son who just turned one. i am finishing up high school. my parents are going throw a brutel divorce. my dads abusive. (thats who i am living with) my mom has to many people living with her for me and my son to stay there and my dad refuses to let me leave. I cant find a job and i been looking since i had my son. i feel depressed even though a doctor told me im not. i feel that i cant handle all this anymore. my sons father just started helping but its not enough he works at a convient. i dont know what im looking for i need advice. or something please help me.

Well, you are definitely in a tough spot.
You can't very well stay in an abusive environment. It isn't good for you and it definitely isn't good for your son. He is learning so much from his surroundings right now, that it is unreal.

Something you should do is go to your county attorney and ask about how laws apply to you. In your state, you may be considered adult since you have a child. If that is the case, your dad can't force you to stay.

That leaves you with needing a place to go. Is there a grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, someone who will take you and your son in?
If not, would you be willing to go to a shelter of some sort? Something along the lines of a domestic violence shelter? Someplace where you will be given resources to get on your feet in a safe environment.

As for depression, it's much easier said than to to "not be depressed." Even though your doctor doesn't seem to think so, I would say you have plenty of reason to be feeling depressed. By the sounds of it, I'm sure you feel quite alone in the world right about now. (Trust me, you're not.) For that, I think I'd go to a councilor for help.

In fact, your school councilor may be able to help you with this entire situation. I know they have the resources to help you.

Hang in there, kid. You got a rough road ahead of you, but you'll make it. You're stronger than you think.

Today I bought 2 pregnancy tests. I took one of them tonight.

This is what the instructions said:

- A blue line will appear in the oval window to show that the test has worked.
- Read your result in the square window, if there is no blue line in the square window you are not pregnant.

Ok so i took the test as you do, and only half a blue line appeared in the oval window, and it was fairly faint, not really faint but it wasnt to dark a line. Nothing appeared in the square window.

I am going to be taking the second test tomorrow morning for sure. But I just want to know..

Because of the line being half, and faint, do you think I should just completely forget about this tests results as its not full result? Or do you think it is still a dependable, accurate result?

Do you think I may have done it wrong? (Ive never taken a test before)

If I shouldnt trust this test I will also purchase another test, I would like to have 2 for sure answers rather than just the one I shall be taking in the morning.

There are 2 possiblilties as to why only half a line showed in the oval window.
#1 Faulty test.
#2 Not enough urine was absorbed into the test to read properly.
Either way, the test is no good now. Good thing you have a back-up. :)

Right now, don't fret over this fouled test. You still have one more to take- lets concern over the one you plan to take in the morning, then go from there.

Now. Best way to do it is to collect a good amount of urine into a cup or dish of some sort. A good amount would be maybe an inch or so.
Dip the test and make sure the absorbent tip is saturated.
Then sit it on a flat surface and let it do it's job as you sit and nervously wait. (Yah, I know how that one goes.)

It should work that the test line (the one in the oval window) should come up fairly quickly, but to be safe allow it to take the amount of time the test requires to achieve a result.

Now, if the result line (the one in the square window) comes up faint, halfway, or showing in any way at all, it should be considered as a positive result until you verify it with another test.

With pregnancy tests, false positives are actually pretty rare. False negatives aren't, because of the possibility of taking the test too soon, or not taking it correctly. That's why I say if it shows any sort of positive, assume that it is until verified.

ok, i know the chances of getting pregnant from pre-cum are very slim, but i still have a few concerns.

Ill recap everything briefly..
- My period was due around December 23rd but didnt come
- December 28th.. Oral on BF, there was precum for sure. Im guessing the pre-cum would of gone though considering it was oral.
- We stopped for him to finish off elsewhere
- He touched himself, and went to touch me, not sure if he had anything on his fingers, but i stopped him before his fingers got in.
- I asked my first question on the 3rd of January.

Anyway..
- My period is still late now
- Over the past few days i have had an unusual stomache ache, it does not feel like period pain
- I have been feeling a little sick
- I have been discharging a little heavier and a little more than usual

Maybe my body is playing tricks on me with the nausea and the stomache ache because i've been stressing about the whole situation.. and i infact have nothing at all to worry about.. My friend said that i may be getting the stomache aches because of my late period, but im not to sure?

I know my previous answers were to get a pregnancy test to knowfor sure but at the moment thats not possible.

Anyway i just want a few more opinions, what do you make of this?

Stomach ache is not a symptom of pregnancy.
Here is a list of early symptoms:

" A missed period -- (if your periods are usually regular).

A short, scant period.

Breasts that are sore, tender or swollen.

You feel sick to your stomach, or you are vomiting.

Fatigue -- feeling more tired than usual.

You need to urinate more often than usual.

Mood swings

These symptoms most often don't occur until you have missed your period for about 2 weeks, but this varies from woman to woman, symptoms can occur earlier for some women (sometimes a week after a missed period). I was queasy about a week after conception. (Amy, RN)

Remember, the onset and degree of pregnancy symptoms will vary from woman to woman and from pregnancy to pregnancy. Many women experience them within a week of conception, others take a few weeks."

I know you say you can't find a way to get a test, but that is the only way of knowing for sure. I wish there was a more simple solution, but there isn't.
My suggestion? I think the potential father could try to scratch up the money to pay for the test, and a way to go purchase one. As late as you are, he has the right to know you are worried you're pregnant.
He did his share of causing this worry, he can do his share by helping you find out if there is reason to worry.

My mother and sister came home today and told me that they went to the library and when they came back, there was a parking ticket on their car.

Now we never got one before but here's the thing, should we pay?

My sister said that on the pole there was the parking sign and they were parked in between the time it said so nothing was wrong. But after looking around when they got back, they realized the ABOVE that sign, there was a sign with a red symbol (circle with a slash in between it).

So that means that the parking sign wasn't covered or anything so what the heck? If that red sign was meant for no parking, shouldn't it be right on the green parking symbol instead of above it?

Unpaid parking fines can mean your mom can lose her drivers license. You can't just not pay a ticket because you don't think it is fair. You show up to court and try to prove it isn't fair.
However, I doubt you would win that battle. It may not be marked how you think it should be, but the sign is there, meaning the city feels it is clearly marked.

I think I have it , because i frquently have to go to the restroom , and sometimes what comes out isint even worth going to the bathroom for but it feels like im about to bust or pee in my pants . Im always having to ask to go to the rest room in every class & thats only 50 mins each .

i didnt want to go to the doctor [ at first ] because i thought my parents would be able to find out that iv had sex . because that could be a reason why i might have one .

Just to add, drinking cranberry juice is a good way to flush nasties out of your kidneys and urinary tract. It needs to be 100% juice- not from concentrate. This can be hard to find, but I believe Ocean Spray Cranberry is 100%. No Cran-apple, or anything of the sort. Plain old, sour tasting cranberry.

If your doctor diagnoses you with a UTI or even a kidney infection, you will be given these little antibiotic pills to take. Don't be alarmed when you notice your pee is bright orange.
You will probably want to wear a panty liner, because that bright orange can stain your clothes.

They will also recommend you drink lots of water, and most likely will advise you to drink 100% cranberry juice as well.

As said before me, there are many causes for a UTI, and sex is only one of them. However, your doctor is a person you need to be completely honest with, so you should tell them that you are sexually active- they can't tell your parents.

Hi i taking my driving test in the next two weeks but when i did a mock test today i only just passed the eye exam.
I normaly have good vision but It took me 4 attepts to read the number plate. I seem to get eyestrain badly while driving. Do you think I will need to get tested for glasses for my test.

I would say that if you are needing to tell someone, like if you have some sort of problem here, your PARENTS should be the ones you tell. It certainly wouldn't do any good for them to hear it second hand, and if you need help, they can and will help you.
Sure, they will probably be disappointed, but they will also be proud that you were mature enough, and trust them enough, to bring your problems to them.

Okay, well I am in a pychology class. And for our finals we have to do this project. Basically, you have to tell about you, your family, your past experiences, & what made you what you are. I don't see how a guy can be kissing you, looking right at you so closely, and be thinking of, say, football, or something.

So i have this friend right. And were really good friends like best friends haha. and we talk everynight. i still like him and i know he kinda still likes me. I guess you can say were friends with "benefits" =/ anyways. he started ditching me and hes always leading me on and getting my hopes up. one of my best friends has a girlfriend that i think is fake. He wont answer any questions about her like if i say "How did you guys meet?" hell say "Bee quiet!" or if i say "I think i know her whats her last name?" hell say "NOne of your business shes form out of town". and you get the picture, i dont understand were really good friends. Also he hsant told any of his other friends about this. except me, so i dont know if hes lying or not. Because every time i bring her up, he either snaps at me, doesn't answer me, or changes the subject. Im really confused here. I agree that maybe he is trying to make you jealous because he may like you?
However, I personally, wouldn't fall for that crap. If he feels he has to lie and play games to try to express he likes you, rather than being man enough to admit it, then he isn't man enough to have a mature relationship.
I don't know if that is his aim, but that is my speculation.

Ok,so I have been sick for over a month and been put on medicine for it. Just recently (as in the last few days), I have begun to feel stomach pains. I'm not sure if it is acid reflux or what but its like a burning feeling in my stomach and in my chest. So I would try to eat something hoping that would make it feel better, but it doesn't. I have also thrown up while feeling this and it had a very strong acidic taste to it. What could be causing this?

You could be having a reaction to the medicine, and not a good one at all.
Like DN said, you should contact your doctor right away.

I always found it best to not take medicine I don't research first. Yes, of course I trust my doctor, but I want to know what exactly I'm putting into my body, and what it can potentially do to me other than help me.

When I'm prescribed something, I type in the name of the drug (should be right there next to "x amount of MG") to look up side effects.
For example, I would type into the search engine: Pen VK side effects (Pen VK is penicillin).

Under the side effects of your medicine, there will be a list of side effects/allergic reactions you need to beware of. You know, the rotten stuff you need to tell your doctor about right away.

First of all, I'm a musician....sort of.
I write and record my music and I love it.
Many people, some that I don't even know,

OkOk let me start again.. I'm a Mixed Martial Artist....sort of. I train and fight in local competitions and I love it. The team I train with tells me I'm pretty good at it.
I have a fulltime job and a family so there is not enough time to do both full on and I'm tired of goin halfway with it. Thats why that song isn't as good as it could be.

Well, since you love both hobbies, this is my suggestion:
Right now, I'd stick with MMA. If you can open your own MMA school in the future, that could become your full time job, you could have your music on the side, and you will be in a win-win situation with your hobbies.
Honestly, the chances of having a career with a band are pretty slim, but the chances of you opening a school to teach martial arts isn't.

I'm moving to Seattle finally. I'm there every weekend, but I've finally convinced my mom to move.

Well my tabby is getting old, she's healthy except she's fat haha, she is 13 and she's basically like a child to me. Lately I can't help but think about what I will do when she dies, I know I'll be devastated and I hate thinking about it. Basically I want to ask about cremating pets: is it costly? Do you just take the pet to a regular human crematory?
I would just bury her in the backyard next to my dog's grave, but I know I won't be living here much longer [I'm 18] and my parents will probably move soon after.
I also heard about compressing ashes into a diamond, I'm guessing that is really expensive though?
And I thought about getting her stuffed like the dog on Scrubs, but I'm sure that costs too much.

So can anyone tell me about cremation? Or other options, I just will want a good way to remember her and [this sounds dumb but] honor her. Personal experience would help a lot, kinda why I'm asking here in the first place. Thanks for any help.

Cremation is generally done by the vet. Around where I live, it costs about $60. Diamonds, I don't have a clue about, but I wager that is very costly.

If you choose to do like the dog on Scrubs, that is Taxidermy. You will be better off just calling around your area to taxidermists to get a price range. It isn't cheap, but you may find someone who's willing to cut you a fair deal.

If you want to bury her, you could always find a place that is kind of in the middle of nowhere, bury her, and place some sort of marker. Then you will know that you can always go to visit her grave if you want.

As for a way to honor her when the dreaded time comes, you can make a photo album compiled of nothing but photos with her in them. Then you have a way to look back on all of the good memories you shared with her.
