My name is Melissa. I'm a sophomore, and finally SWEET 16. So, I'll be driving on January 7th. I usually go by May or Mel. In the picture is myself and my AMAZING boyfriend Kyle. He's truly my entire world & I'm not sure how I got lucky enough to get someone like him. I don't like girls. They're fake, and I just in general dislike most girls. Little known fact? There are times I hate my best friend, I mean, hate hate. She drives me insane. When I'm close friends with a girl it's a big deal. As far as best friends go; I have Kyle, who's the most amazing boyfriend in the world; Jennifer Anne Reese aka: PIECUP.. she's one of the few girls I'm close to. I'm generally a nice person, if I like you. If I don't, you'll know it.

In college I want to major in psychology; with a minor in wedding planning or some type of organizational planning type thing. I'm a planning freak. I ALWAYS have a plan, and if you don't plan stuff ahead of time, I'll probably kill you. I tend to change my plan spur of the moment a lot, but I always have one. Lol, one of those weird things about me.


I'm not that much of a "laid back" person. In general, I have my opinion, and I'm going to win. Drama = stupid. But just like every other girl on the planet, I definitely start my share of the drama. I don't like it, but it follows me like a puppy, so I'll just admit I start stuff.

I like giving advice. I've been through a lot, and I want to help people in any way I can. If you'd rather email or IM me, feel free to ask. ♥

Do any other girls have a list of qualities that they want in a potential boyfriend? I have a list of about 20 things that I want a guy to have before I date him.
For example, he must be a non-smoker, have a good job, live on his own, be neat in appearance, have a vehicle, and no children from a previous relationship. These are just some of the things. I had one guy ask me out but because he lived with his mother and smoked I turned him down. Another guy asked me out and he had a 5 year old daughter, so I turned him down to. Some people say I being too picky, well I tell them I just have high standards.
Part of the reason for this is because my last boyfriend was a total loser. He was on welfare, he didnt have a car or a license, he was dirty, he smoked, and was financially and mentally abusive to me.
Do any other woman have high standards? And do you think I'm being too picky? Also do you think I'm scared of being hurt again so that is why I strive so high, and subconsiously I'm doing this so I won't have a boyfriend again?

You have good standards. Don't settle for anything else than you want, because you won't be happy unless you do. Just get as many of them as you can. People are entitled to a FEW imperfections. (= Good luck!

What's wrong with me?
My parents think I'm strange and that I have something weird going on with me. "I have weird habits and a weird way of thinking."
Habits as in...counting the number of cracks I've stepped on, the times i circle around something, the seconds im in somewhere and if its not under a certain time then i..feel the need to start over..and then im yelled at when im still doing it ...I dunno. People think I'm retarded X___x I didn't notice that i was doing this stuff... i just do it because...its what i've always been doing..then people pointed it out. Its like ringing the doorbell a couple of times..before entering because..its just..there. I always think about something. I'm afraid of pain. I'm afraid to do P.E. in class. I'm afraid of running..tripping and landing on the ground..seeing blood or having my arm bend the wrong way or having my fingers crushed or having those bent the wrong way. It makes me sick. I don't want to twist my ankle or have a ball hit my face..because it might hit my ear piercings and those might rip out and hurt. I've got glue on eyelashes and I've just recently thought..what if i get the glue in my eye? My eyes will start to water and then i might get eye problems...might have to go see a doctor...and then i get awful images.. I dunno. I always worry a lot. Also.. my little sister was going across the street to a friends house...in my head I heard a loud crash..and had images of her lying in the street covered in blood and...blah. My boyfriend had this safety pin in his mouth...and it was open and for about 20 mins..he was talking with it still in his mouth..and all i could think about is.. what would happen if it cut him...or if he swallowed it and it got stuck..and i couldn't do a thing about it because there was no adult around.. argh. Am I stupid?

The counting, etc. looks like OCD [Obsessive compulsive disorder]. But I'm not a doctor so just take that as something to research and consider.

You AREN'T stupid. It just looks like you worry and think about the "what if's" wayy too much. I would suggest talking to a school therapist, and possibly a doctor. There are things they can do to help you!! (=

I'm setting up a campaign for people to see whats the difference (of thoughts/actions)in people that smoke and do not. If you are a smoker or a non-smoker, please answer these questions in which category you fit in. Oh, and please tell me if you are a smoker or a non-smoker. I'm doing this so I can hellp people with certain things. I can't ask anyone around because I don't speak thier language.

1: I think that people who smoke are just TRYING to die early. People should value their body, and by smoking they're just hurting themselves & potentially the people around them.

2: No. My parents both smoke; I've seen them try to quit, and it's too difficult. It's like once you've started you can't stop. Also, it's about $65 a week for both of my parents to smoke. That is money that I can use for college, school, or just entertainment like movies & going out with friends.

4: It's bad because you're literally killing yourself. The more you smoke, the more you're hurting your lungs and killing yourself. Plus there's always the "what if's". For example, what if a family member needed lung tissue from you. You couldn't give it to them because you've been smoking, so your's wouldn't help them.

5: Don't give up. If you really want to quit don't stop just because it's hard. Just remember all your reasons. And try doing something else to relieve stress or boredem.

I'm going to a fancy dress party in November and really want a cool outfit. I'm 15 and petite, and want something that looks cute/hot but definately not slutty. You can wear anything (it's not a Halloween party) and I can afford to buy some pieces for it, but I don't want anything too difficult. Hmmm.. go to a store & either buy or make a black dress. Just something simple and cute. Then add ribbons to make it look nicer.

If you're a more unique type person, decorate it with buttons, ribbon, stuff like that.

If you're more traditional / classic, try lace ribbon. (=

Again, this isn't exactly a massive problem, but if anyone has any ideas....
I had a big falling-out with my best friend this summer. She had been pissing me off for ages, by generally being a selfish, irritating ho (there are quite a few reasons, not important), so I just told her I didn't want to speak to her anymore. And now we are back at school and she has no idea I hate her. I'm still really angry at her, and she is just totally oblivious. I feel like I'd like some way to tell her how I feel or get revenge although I know it would be just to make myself feel better and make her feel bad.
Any ideas? And I'm this post makes me look like a bitter, avengeful bitch, don't bother leaving me notes telling me that, I'll report ya :)

okayy so me and this guy andrew have been dating for about 3 months and we've done a lot and have gotten really into eachother.. so i thought but it was all summer and once we got back to school he stopped calling and stopped comming over and to me that isn't hard to come over we only live 2 houses down! so in school my friend jack started likin me and i sort of starting like him a little bit to but i still had a lot of feelings for andy. I am 17/M. I have a girlfriend that I have almost dated for 4 months. We had a great realtionship to start out with. Once school began though I start to drift away from her. I am very active in school and after school. She is in love with me but I am not.(I told her I didn't after lying about it for awhile) She calls and I am not really inclined to call her back or even talk to her when she does call. It is like a chore for me. I wuldn't mind spending time with her but only if it was for awhile not some BS 15 mins. When we are together I feel really close and begin to like her a lot. Then after like 2 weeks I just dont care anymore. She is really serious in this relationship and I am not so much. I don't know what to do. I just want some direction or arrow telling me what I need to do. Plz give me that DIRECTION!

You need to sit down with her and explain all this. Because chances are, if she thinks you feel this way she won't WANT to be with you. And if she ACTUALLY loves you, then she'll want you to be happy; even if it means not being with you.

This is kinda of embarassing but i will ask it anyways...I have never used a tampon and my friend wants me to go swimming with her soon...and i am soposed to get my period soon and i was wondering if i could try to wear a tampon even if i dont have my period just to see how it feels...and does it hurt??

Yes, you can wear one anyway if you haven't ever. Just make sure you aren't wearing one all the time, everyday, because you COULD contract TSS. [Toxic Shock Syndrome] It's very rare, but still possible. But wearing one for a few hours just to get the hang of things won't hurt you. (=

It definitely DOESN'T hurt. They're a lot more comfortable than pads, and more than likely you'll forget you even had it in.

My homecoming dance is on Saturday and my dress is black, just plain black with like a ruffle around the waist. I want to add more color to my dress so i was thinking of buying a ribbon to tie on my dress or something. Does anyone have any good ideas what color ribbon i should get to match my black dress? And where could i get a ribbon that i can wear? I rate high for good answers.

Pink, white, yellow. Any color. Or you could get a couple colors to put on there. Just remember that all colors match black. (=

You can get the ribbon from pretty much anywhere. Wal-Mart, Target, a mall.. etc. Or, for some more unique ribbon with patterns, lace, etc, go to a fabric store. Like JoAnn Fabrics, Micheals. Also, craft stores. Good luck.
