1) I think smoking is effectively slow suicide. I think they are ignorant, silly, and simply pathetic. However, if they want to kill themselves, that's up to them. Just keep the smoke away from me! I HATE smokers because they take up all the places on organ donor lists and stuff - have you got any idea about how many INNOCENT non-smoking people DIE waiting for a heart transplant because the smokers are taking up the list?? If you ask me they have no right to be on that list. If they can afford cigarrettes they can afford private care!
2) No I would never consider smoking because not only does it KILL you, it is disgusting, smelly, pathetic and expensive.
3) I don't smoke because I am not stupid enough to, because I have asthma and it would kill me pretty much instantly anyway, and because I actually have morals.
4) Hmm, there are a hundred and one reasons where do I start?! What ISN'T bad about smoking?! Once you are addicted (which doesn't happen straight away like people lead you to believe, so why on EARTH people continue smoking I'll never know!), your whole life becomes dependant on a silly little white stick. I hardly call that freedom. Smoking is like taking drugs - it should be illegal. It KILLS you. It damages your baby if you're pregnant. It gives you bad breath. It gives you yellow teeth and fingers. You STINK. And then you die. And smokers have the audacity to expect sympathy, it's ridiculous!
5) 'Good for you! Buy some nicotene patches and gum, and some mints as well, and don't stop trying! Of course it's hard; you're addicted, so don't expect it to be easy. But you can do it!'
xRoOxiSxBlOnDex answered Tuesday October 25 2005, 9:45 am: 1: I think that people who smoke are just TRYING to die early. People should value their body, and by smoking they're just hurting themselves & potentially the people around them.
2: No. My parents both smoke; I've seen them try to quit, and it's too difficult. It's like once you've started you can't stop. Also, it's about $65 a week for both of my parents to smoke. That is money that I can use for college, school, or just entertainment like movies & going out with friends.
3: [Same as above]
4: It's bad because you're literally killing yourself. The more you smoke, the more you're hurting your lungs and killing yourself. Plus there's always the "what if's". For example, what if a family member needed lung tissue from you. You couldn't give it to them because you've been smoking, so your's wouldn't help them.
5: Don't give up. If you really want to quit don't stop just because it's hard. Just remember all your reasons. And try doing something else to relieve stress or boredem.

1. I dislike people who smoke in public; it's very inconsiderate to the people around them.
2. I would probably have an asthma attack, so no I would likely not choose to consider smoking.
3. I have asthma, and overall it is just really unhealthy.
4. Smoking is bad for you because it can lead to death. Also, there are plently of other negatives along the way, such as lung damage and nasty smell.
5. I'd say that that is very smart of you. And, I would suggest using a patch or gum, or if they can, just quit "cold turkey."

1. How do you feel about people who smoke?
i feel sorry that there is something in their life that has driven to an unhealthy habit.
2. Would you ever consider to smoke? Why?
No, my dad smokes and has been trying to quit ever since i was born. I see how difficult it is and I would never want to have to deal with that. Quitting sucking my thumb when I was little was too hard for me. haha. Also, I think it's a waste of money..and really gross.
3. What is your reason not to smoke?
Even if it wasn't bad for my health..it's disgusting. I want to be healthy..and not smell like smoke..and have white teeth.
4. In your opinion, why is smoking bad for you?
I know a few people who died of emphezema (sp?). I don't want that to happen to me. I also sing..so that would completely ruin my voice.
5. What would your advice be if a smoker wants to quit?
Oh boy. Just believe that you can, first of all. Try the patch or one of those things. Find something you like that you can do when you feel like smoking...like eat a twizzeler or chew on a straw. haha. All the pens in my house are all chewed up on the ends from when my dad tried to quit. He quit using the patch and chewing on straws for a long time..until he got a new job and new stress. So, find other ways to release your stress. I've seen all this work..just not last. When you want to have "just one cigarette" it won't be just one. It will start you up all over again. Keep yourself from doing it. Do anything to keep yourself busy until the urge goes away. That's my advice. [ iSpEaKsPaNiSh's advice column | Ask iSpEaKsPaNiSh A Question ]
Teza answered Tuesday October 25 2005, 7:15 am: I am a non smoker =)
1. I do not like when people smoke at all. I hate the smell, and it is a poitless addiction.
2. I would not consider smoking because you can get lung cancer, bad teeth and there is really no reason to.
3. My reason not to smoke is bacilly because it's a drug and you can get addicted and die.
4. Smoking is bad for you in many ways. Like I said, you can die from it.
5. My advice to a smoker who wants to quit is that they are doing what's best for them. They should try as hard as they can to quit. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
