Tampons

This is kinda of embarassing but i will ask it anyways...I have never used a tampon and my friend wants me to go swimming with her soon...and i am soposed to get my period soon and i was wondering if i could try to wear a tampon even if i dont have my period just to see how it feels...and does it hurt??

Yes, you can wear one anyway if you haven't ever. Just make sure you aren't wearing one all the time, everyday, because you COULD contract TSS. [Toxic Shock Syndrome] It's very rare, but still possible. But wearing one for a few hours just to get the hang of things won't hurt you. (=

It definitely DOESN'T hurt. They're a lot more comfortable than pads, and more than likely you'll forget you even had it in.
