Long story short, I'm from Los Angeles, went to an amazing school, left the US and moved to the Middle East. I've been backpacking around Europe and the Middle East on and off since August 2013. Would you like to converse? Here's my Forum
Quite frankly, I'm sarcastic way more than I should be. Read a few of my answers, and you'll see that I am not totally mean to anyone.
Type correctly or go home. Yes, that is an ultimatum.

I just got a speeding ticket a little while ago but the cop was just the biggest jerk ever. He pulled me over after I entered the highway, telling me that I was speeding on the ramp. Wtf is that? I was accelerating so I could catch up with the drivers on the highway, WHAT YOURE SUPPOSED TO DO!
The speed limit on the highway was 70mph but everyone was going like 85 (crazy Houston drivers)so going up the ramp I was going 77 (what he told me) and he pulled me over! I didn't argue with him too much because I didn't want to get in trouble but should I try to fight it? I mean, yeah I was over 70 but only to keep up with the traffic. So fight it or just pay up?
Traffic laws are in my blood--my dad works for my city and consults and advises them on this kind of stuff.
Yes, you should definitely fight the ticket. Yes, you were accelerating, but it was to match the rest of the cars on the road. It would have been unsafe to continue to go at the speed limit becuase then other cars would have had to go around you and THAT is what causes accidents.
Plus, since you were accelerating, 7 mph really isn't that much if you were already going 70.
On top of that, roads are given a speed limit that s less than the road can really take. For example, a road that says it has a 70 mph speed limit is really designed for people to go 80 on that particular road.
Also, a phone call to the non-emergency police line would be helpful in getting this guy to be a little more courteous.
I'm watching my friends kitten from saturday to wednesday. I'm going to have to keep it at MY house. I have to feed it, play with it, and all that stuff. How much should I charge?
If they offer you money, I'd ask for at least $100. Anything else really is too low. That's just over a dollar/hour. Don't you think that your time is worth at least that much?
But if it is a really close friend who doesn't talk about payment, then let it be and take what they give you (if anything) and just enjoy the sweet kitten!!
I'm 13/f and I was talking online with a friend, who he is 17. We have alot in common and stuff, so he asked me out. I was just wondering, what do you think is the maximum age difference? I really like this guy, and if he was my age, I would go out with him without question, but, is this age different ok?
Thanks in advance.
The rule is generally half your age plus seven. So he should be dating someone who's 15 and a half, and you should be dating someone 13 and a half, according to the rule.
If you really like each other, then go for it. Remember not to get pressured into things!
How to i create a forum?
Thanks

I am going to be a freshman as of aug. 24 and i really want to make a good impression on everybody. What would be a good outfit to wear on orientation and the first day? i wear mostly peppy clothes i guess rather pricey brands: like a&f ae juicy and hollister but i am going to a school that is very mixed so i dont want to look like a snaob or a slut.
Also what type of back back is best for HS right now i bought a northface backpack that is all black. would a messanger bag be good what is trendy?
To my freshman orientation a year ago, I wore a polo and jeans.
Our orientations are a lot of walking//standing in the sun, so I didn't want to be too hot.
Maybe something that you'd normally wear is a good idea. Don't wear something unlike what you'd wear anyway. Maybe you know people there and you can see what they wear and go by that.
And as for backpacks, Jansports are almost the only brand at my school. The ones with the big pocket and little pocket are most popular. Bright colors, patterns, and black are most popular.
Messenger bags are going out. Also, they put a lot of weight on one shoulder so they can make you lopsided if you always wear it on one side.
Good luck!!
OKay. so im 5'3 and im about 115 pounds. is this a good weight to be for my height? i know i have lots of muscle and stuff but i still feel like im always bigger than my friends. or i feel im fat becuz i have all that lower tummy fat and it makes me look bigger from the front. i am not sure what to do. and i eat healthy and everything and im very athletic. but the fat never comes off! im so self conscious! please help!! :/ thanks a bunch!

i started taking birth control pills and i was wondering when its safe for my boyfriend to not use a condom?
Never. Condoms prevent against STDs and stuff, and unless you're trying to get pregnant (in which case you ouldn't be on birth control), then always use condoms!
Im getting Dizzy all the time and I dont know why Im not pregnant cause Ive not had sex but I am bout to die cause Im getting dizzy so much
Chances are, you're dehydrated. You should be getting about 65 oz. of water each day.
No one here is a doc.
ok here's my problem i cant stop applying chapstick/ lipblam whatever you want to call it. if i go more than an hour without it i feel like im going crazy. so is chapstick actually addictive or am i just obssesed with the cherry goodness?
You can get addicted to the motion of putting on chapstick. Some people are addicted to the motion of eating, they overeat, and then gain weight, you might be addicted to the the motion of putting on chapstick.
I don't think it's a bad thing, though, becuase then you'll have great lips all of the time!!
Remember, no one here is a doctor!
My college has quarters, and they're about 2 and a half months long each. There are 4 per year. Is that the same thing as a semester?
A semester has two quarters.
The way that a quarter system works is that you have an entire class in 10 weeks, which, compared to colleges on a semester or trimester basis is an accelerated pace.
Enjoy college!
whats the QUICKEST way to loose weight beore augest 18!!? please help me i no i'm getting fat and idk what to do!! i'm thinking about aneroxicaa b/c it seems like the quickest way but idk you tell me
Exercise and a good diet are fastest. I was at camp for a month and I walked at least 2 miles/day and there were lots of stairs and sometimes, I ran. Plus, I cut out all of the junk food from my diet. Now, I still do lots of exercise and eat pretty well. I've probably lost between 5 and 9 pounds. I also gained lean muscle, so I'm stronger from the exercise.
Anorexia is a serious mental disorder. I'm not going to lie, it works if you need it to last like a day or 2. But you get headaches and start passing out. It's such a bad idea. Trust me. Also, you gain a lot of weight after a couple of days becuase your metabolisms slows down.
Last year I took Algebra 1, and I sucked at it, but it wasn't me, it was the teacher. At the end of the year she ended up passing everyone in my class by one or two points, probably to make herself look good, because we were all failing miserable. Point is, I'm still moving onto Geometry next year..but I know absolutely nothing about Algebra 1, I didn't get anything out of that class. My mom will be getting me a tutor outside of school & I have notes on Algebra 1 now. But my question is, is Geometry harder than Algebra 1? Or is it similar? Does it deal with Algebra 1 alot/at all? Thank you.
Not very much Algebra 1 is used in Geometry, BUT at least half of the year in ALgebra 2 is review from Algebra 1. It's worthwile to get a tutor.
Hey, is it ok to knit on a plane if your just a teenage girl who shows no threat? (this is on continental going from jamaica to america non-stop)
Well, I googled this, and I'm copy-pasting what came up.
US airport security, unfortunately, can't make up their minds which way to go on a lot of rulings, and sometimes even they aren't up with the changes in the rules. Sometimes I can get through with fold over scissors and another time I can't get through with microscopic teasers.
According to the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) - Transporting Knitting Needles and Needlepoint:
Knitting needles are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage. However, there is a possibility that the needles can be perceived as a possible weapon by the TSA screener. TSA Screeners have the authority to determine if an item could be used as a weapon and may not allow said item to pass through security. TSA recommends the following when bring knitting needles on an airplane:
* Circular knitting needles are recommended to be less than 31 inches in total length
* We recommend that the needles be made of bamboo or plastic (Not Metal)
* Scissors must have blunt points
* In case the screener does not allow your knitting tools through security it is recommended that you carry a self addressed envelope so that you can mail your tools back to yourself as opposed to surrendering them at the security check point.
* As a precautionary measure it is recommended that you carry a crochet hook with yarn to save the work you have already done in case your knitting tools are surrendered at the checkpoint.
I did some research and here are some tips for the traveler who wants to knit, crochet, or tat.
To begin with, I highly recommend you visit the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) - Transporting Knitting Needles and Needlepoint web page, print it out, and carry it with your knitting, crocheting, tatting, or needlepoint kit, ready to show them if clarification is needed. We do this with our film and it has saved us when clarification with the rules has been necessary.
Knitting
Knitting needles are permitted on US airlines and through airport security. So far, both straight needles and circular knitting needles are permitted. They can be wooden, plastic, or metal. Unfortunately, the decision is on a case by case basis, so it is recommended that you stick to wooden or plastic, dull, and not exceptionally long. If they are circular needles, make sure the connecting plastic or wire is thick and not thin. Or use a set of removable circular plastic connectors and disconnect them for the pass through security.
Stitch holders tend to look like large safety pins and can be a cause for concern for airport security. The same goes for cable needles and other sharp and pointy metal objects used in knitting. Choose plastic versions of these knitting tools to avoid problems.
If you are concerned about your knitting needles, there are two options worth considering.
Bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough for your knitting needles with you. If security refuses admittance, and you want to keep your knitting needles, you can put them in the envelope and mail them to yourself. You can mail them to your destination or back home, it's up to you. Make sure to include enough postage to get them to their destination.
Bring pencils with the ends painted with fingernail polish or a lacquer to cover the lead, or empty ink pens approximating knitting needles, and knit with these as your backups. The standard #2 yellow pencil is slightly smaller than a size 11 (8MM) needle.
Scissors
You mess with threads and yarn, you have to do some cutting. Scissors are very likely to be confiscated, even child-scissors with the rounded noses and dull blades. Clover makes a round medallion that looks more like a pendant than what it really is: a circular thread cutter. If you slide your thread down the "teeth", it catches the razor blade inside and cuts the thread.
You can hang it around your neck like a necklace. I've worn mine through many flights with no notice. There is no way it can be used to cut someone as there are no accessible blades. The best threat you can offer is to cut someone's hair. It will cut all types of thread, yarn, and string. It is about the size of a half dollar or Euro.
As for knitting, crocheting, tatting, and doing any needlework on the airplane itself, it is permitted, though not recommended during take-off and landing for safety reasons. That is until someone protests.
If you find yourself next to someone uncomfortable with your knitting needles, and they tell you or act suspicious, ask the attendant to move you to another seat where the people will not be bothered by your knitting.
Usually you can smile and tell them about the fun history of your knitting, crocheting, or tatting, and they will relax. You can even confide that you are relieved to be able to once again carry your knitting needles, crochet hooks, and shuttles on long flights as it gives you something to do to pass the time on long, boring flights. It makes you feel productive. Be kind and understanding of their fear and they will usually agree and let it go. If they don't, move, and keep on working, if possible.
The attendants themselves may inspect your knitting needles, tatting shuttles, and crochet hooks for security purposes, but answer yes when they ask if security permitted you through with the tools, and they usually leave you alone. If they do have concerns, they may take the knitting needles and return them to you after the flight (remember to ask), or ask you to put them away and not use them on the flight. It's annoying, but press them to reconsider without getting angry, and if they don't, then do as they instruct without making a scene. Then write some nasty letters to the airlines afterwards. Name names. Point fingers. This will make things better for others traveling in the future.
This is from http://www.cameraontheroad.com/?p=1028.
I don't think you'll have any problems. :) Have a safe flight!
I really want to wear thongs because I tried my friends on once and it felt SO comfortable. I don't want one just because my friends wear them, because thats just stupid. I really like the feeling of them, but I'm afraid if I wear them, it'll seem like I'm a slut. The farthest I've gone with a guy is just a PECK on the lips, one time and thats it. So I'm no where near a slut. My mom doesn't care if I wear thongs, she actually even bought one for me. I want to wear it, but I don't want to feel slutty or people to think a slut. But I love the way they feel, they are good for when I wear tighter clothing, and my mom approves of them and I have one in my drawer already, so should I wear it or not? I'm 13 and female if it helps.
Wear it. Lots of girls would kill to be in your position. Wear what you like. You like thongs. Wear thongs. Simple.
I'm not trying to offend anyone,
there are a lot of stories about fairies, and there are a lot of stories about God.
We don't have proof that fairies or God exists...yet so many people are convinced God does, while fairies or something of the sort are classified as just things in story books.
I'm not trying to get attention or anything, but I kind of don't get it.
So, just wondering...do you have an answer?
I'm Jewish, so this might be a different perspective from other answers-
I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. I mean, yes, this could all be coincidental, but I believe that there is something, or someone, responsible for all of the things that go on.
I think that I also believe it because I went to temple as a little girl and learned all about Torah, I recently had my Bat-Mitzvah. All of the biblical stories aren't special to me becuase "God" created them, tey just hold certain morals that I would agree with anyway.
I think that I just classify my general beliefs as believing in God, and I think that "God" means something else to everyone on the planet.
I hope that I helped, and let me know what you think in the feedback, please!
Ok....i know im only 13 but i want to wear a thong but im afraid my mom will get mad at me for asking should i just buy one and hide it?
i feel hot around guys if i wear a low cut shirt or something that guys like they always think i dress the perfect way becasue half the time they look down my shirt and they like that but one day they asked me if i wore a thong i said no.
i think it would be comfortable but i dont know how to ask my mom cus she dosent even let me date
Why are you dressing for guys? This contributes to the abusive society of today. Wouldn't it feel wonderful to have a guy think that you are a beautiful perosn, and not someone whose shirt he can look down?
Anyway, all types of underwear have their pros and cons. Thongs are better for tight pants and often give the wearer confidence, and regular underwear has more coverage for see through clothes where you don't want a thong exposed to the world. Both can be considered confortable.
Ask for them for when you wear tight clothes to avoid a panty line.
okay, i'm 14/f and there's someone that i like, but he's 2 years younger than me. is it okay to like or date someone 2 years younger? it seems kind of weird, but it's not that big of a difference and in fact i think my parents are 2 years apart. thanks
It honestly sounds a bit immature to me. That's like a 7th grader dating a 5th grader, or an 8th grader dating a 6th grader. I, personally, wouldn't do it. As you get older, an age difference becomes less and less significant.
Wearing a thong will make me feel sexy around guys i know im only 13 but just about everyone wears a thong in my school that my age. Should i just go off and buy one or should i tell my mom i want one. Im afraid shell think im a slut because she dosent want me to date yet but i do behind her back.
Just out of curiousity, how will guys know what kind of underwear you wear? They won't, unless you tell them or unless it's hanging out. I really don't think that you should go behind your mom's back. Just start wearing really tight pants and then you'll "need" them. And unless it's visible (which is slutty), it's not really that big of a deal. I have friends who wear them, and friends who don't. It's just a matter of personal preference.
