Not at all safe. Taking certain medications, skipping the pill, etc can make them less effective. Plus you'd be putting yourself at risk for STDs. Tell him to stop being such a damn baby and wear the damn condom. The best advice I can give you is to take the pill, use the condom, and buy some spermicides to use along with the condom.
NOTE: This advice is being given by a birth control pill baby that also has a failed birth control AND condom baby. Hope that helps. ;) ]
well its never safe, you jus have a low percentage of gettin pregnant but keep in mind that birthcontrol doesnt protect you from STDS and there is a 1% chance of gettin pregnant. remember if there is a will there is a way
hope i helped

ok LOOK,the pills may keep you from getting pregnant BUT they wont keep you from getting herpes or other STD's.Why risk getting the diseases when you can make him wear a condom AND take the pill? ]
NEVER! I'm not sure what other advice you've gotten, but there is no such thing as safe sex!! You might forget a pill, or the pill might not work. Then you're pregnant, your boyfriend is saying it isn't his, and you have a kid to take care of!! My mom got pregnant with me AND my brother while on the pill. With one of us she also was using condoms..
Use the pill, and a condom. NEVER forget the condom.. use spermacide if you want to be extra safe. If you don't want to get pregnant though.. the only way to be sure is to not have sex. The safest way is to be on birth control, use a condom, and the pull-out method.. just my opinion but I've got 2 kids and one on the way so believe you me I know how to GET pregnant.
**EDITED TO ADD** Please read advice on medical websites, ask your doctor, etc. Some of these people don't know what they are talking about! Condoms do NOT PROTECT AGAINST STDS!!! Now the wrappers say they might help to prevent against them but that's about it.. they don't.. believe me. I've had a whole class on condoms and STDs and they do NOT PROTECT AGAINST THEM.. so you should both be tested if you're having sex. :) ]
Birth control is at it's maximum effectiveness about a month after you stop taking it. However, it's never 100% effective, so you should use a condom if you're really freaked out about getting pregnant. ]
well, if you forget the pill once
and are having unprotected sex.
You get pregnant from that one missed day.
So I'd do it a couple times with no condom or...yeah. ]
If you've both been checked for any kind of stds. Then its alright after 1 month(your first cycle/pack of pills).Thats what my doctor told me :.But you should also use a condom, because the pill isn't 100% effective. But thats your choice. ]
1 month, and the pills will me at their maximum effectiveness. ]
It's never safe for him to stop using a condom, but the birth control starts working after the first month of being on the pill. That's when it starts becoming effective anyways. ]
you should use both! use both so that you are extra safe and you have a lesser chance of getting pregnant. the pill may not always work neither the condom too.....so each is like a backup...if the pill doesnt work then the condom might...or if the condom doesnt work then the pill might....hope i helped...♥ terri ]
Never! You should always use a condom AND birth control. Birth control pills will only keep you from getting pregnant, but condoms also prevent the spread of diseases. If you don't use the condom, you could end up seriously ill, and maybe even dead. ]
Unless you are older than 18 or want a baby and are ready for the responsibility, it will never be okay to not use condoms. But be careful, they break ]
Never. Condoms prevent against STDs and stuff, and unless you're trying to get pregnant (in which case you ouldn't be on birth control), then always use condoms! ]
actually it is never "safe" to have sex with out a condom because a pregnacy isnt the only thing a condom protects against, more and more people are developing uncurable sexually transmited dieases everyday like aids, herpees,HIV,and hepititus! also birth control doesnt always keep you from getting pregnant so practice safe sex and be careful ]
Even though the pill is highly effective, it is not 100%. so i think the best thing to do is to use condoms and you stay on the pill. this way it's a lot better chance for the effectiveness. and a lesser chance of getting pregnet, Unless you want to get pregnet. but pill and condom work hand in hand. so have fun, and keep practicing safe sex. :) ]
It will PROBABLY keep you from getting pregnant but there is a chance you still could. You could also still get an STD without a condom so I would wear one still. ]
No, its not safe. When my mom was on birth control she got pregnant with me. Anything i is possible. I would wear a condom ]
It's safe as far as your getting pregnant, but it's not safe w/regards to communicable diseases. Play it safe!
Namaste!

They should already be in effect, so you're safe already. :]
EDIT - Oh, alright, I didn't know how recently you had started them. Here are a few answers, [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), they basically said to wait 5 days, so I think that's your best bet. My bad for not researching it more. I'm sorry. ]
