Sadie63341 answered Friday July 28 2006, 12:53 am: NEVER! I'm not sure what other advice you've gotten, but there is no such thing as safe sex!! You might forget a pill, or the pill might not work. Then you're pregnant, your boyfriend is saying it isn't his, and you have a kid to take care of!! My mom got pregnant with me AND my brother while on the pill. With one of us she also was using condoms..
Use the pill, and a condom. NEVER forget the condom.. use spermacide if you want to be extra safe. If you don't want to get pregnant though.. the only way to be sure is to not have sex. The safest way is to be on birth control, use a condom, and the pull-out method.. just my opinion but I've got 2 kids and one on the way so believe you me I know how to GET pregnant.
**EDITED TO ADD** Please read advice on medical websites, ask your doctor, etc. Some of these people don't know what they are talking about! Condoms do NOT PROTECT AGAINST STDS!!! Now the wrappers say they might help to prevent against them but that's about it.. they don't.. believe me. I've had a whole class on condoms and STDs and they do NOT PROTECT AGAINST THEM.. so you should both be tested if you're having sex. :) [ Sadie63341's advice column | Ask Sadie63341 A Question ]
contradictionn answered Thursday July 27 2006, 8:53 pm: well, if you forget the pill once
and are having unprotected sex.
You get pregnant from that one missed day.
merecedesxlove answered Thursday July 27 2006, 6:13 pm: If you've both been checked for any kind of stds. Then its alright after 1 month(your first cycle/pack of pills).Thats what my doctor told me :.But you should also use a condom, because the pill isn't 100% effective. But thats your choice. Melody answered Thursday July 27 2006, 12:10 pm: It's never safe for him to stop using a condom, but the birth control starts working after the first month of being on the pill. That's when it starts becoming effective anyways. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]

tasuki answered Thursday July 27 2006, 2:12 am: Never! You should always use a condom AND birth control. Birth control pills will only keep you from getting pregnant, but condoms also prevent the spread of diseases. If you don't use the condom, you could end up seriously ill, and maybe even dead. Igotamonopoly answered Thursday July 27 2006, 12:47 am: Never. Condoms prevent against STDs and stuff, and unless you're trying to get pregnant (in which case you ouldn't be on birth control), then always use condoms! [ Igotamonopoly's advice column | Ask Igotamonopoly A Question ]
Adviceteen08 answered Thursday July 27 2006, 12:34 am: actually it is never "safe" to have sex with out a condom because a pregnacy isnt the only thing a condom protects against, more and more people are developing uncurable sexually transmited dieases everyday like aids, herpees,HIV,and hepititus! also birth control doesnt always keep you from getting pregnant so practice safe sex and be careful [ Adviceteen08's advice column | Ask Adviceteen08 A Question ]
Hrcoole answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 11:52 pm: Even though the pill is highly effective, it is not 100%. so i think the best thing to do is to use condoms and you stay on the pill. this way it's a lot better chance for the effectiveness. and a lesser chance of getting pregnet, Unless you want to get pregnet. but pill and condom work hand in hand. so have fun, and keep practicing safe sex. :) [ Hrcoole's advice column | Ask Hrcoole A Question ]
