i live in the south, and we always say ma'am and sir when speaking to adults. however, i recently met some students from northern states and they don't say that. they even said that adults from northern states think it's weird when they say ma'am and sir. but in the south, adults think it's disrespectful to not say ma'am and sir. why is this, and should i just say ma'am and sir to all adults because that's how i was brought up? I live in the south too. [Texas] It's just because people are more friendly and down-to-earth in the south. Like how when you're driving down the road, you wave at people you don't even know. But my aunt [she's a yankee, up in the north- Iowa] she thought it was weird. And to answer your question, yes, if you were brought up that way [I was too] keep doing it. It's nice & respectful.

Does anyone know how egg affects a car's paint job? My car was egged about a week ago and when it happened, I only noticed it on the right side so I cleaned it and everything. But today I noticed it was on the back of my car as well.
When I cleaned all the week old egg off (which took forever and a day), I noticed that the paint under the egg/shells was cracked and pealing. I was soooo pissed off. But, can egg really do that? I KNOWWW the paint wasn't like that before.

eggs, ketchup, ham, turkey coldcuts, soda, and well anything with any sort of acidic content can do this. eggs have trace amounts of acids inside them that allow for the unborn chicken to live off the nutrients within that egg. now the egg when thrown on a car will not have an instant effect and if washed off quickly will not do any damage. but if you let the egg literally bake into the paint of the car like you did over the course of a week you'll find your paint peeling where egg once was. and since a paintjob costs a good $1000 for even a small area like that your best bet is to actually go buy a sharpiethat is the same color as your car's paint and color over the egged sections. it's a simple, cheap, trick that actually works despite the fact that you'll have to recolor it every few weeks. it's much cheaper than a paint job.

just say you got bad craps. you can get cramps really early, and also they help regulate your period and prevent bloating

I have some scarring on my cheeks from acne ahile back. It's just on one side of my face. A dermatologist isn't an option, but I need a cream or something to get rid of the scarring. Can someone reccomend a cream/whatever that would be at like every grocery store, or CVS, so I can just go out and buy it tomorrow. (link)

It's not pimplessssss.... you must have been shaving there... if you shave the same direction your hair grows and then put lotion or some kinda stuff it'll go away.

i burn my face realy bad like i cooked off 4 layers of skin out of 7 it kills and i put stuff on it to make it better but it makes it hurt worce my skin is realy gross so i was wondering will it get back to normal befor school and thats in a little over a month. is there anyway to make it heal faster because im always crying because it hurts soOOooOOO bad (link)

A product I use that really works wonders for me is Solarcaine. Gently put it on your face, but don't put it on too much. Just once or twice a day. You could also use Neutrogena After Sun Treatment.
Most likely, your sunburn will be gone when school starts. I have gotten bad sunburn before, and it will take a good two weeks before it will fully heal.
If your sunburn itches, it just means that skin is growing back and do not itch your face! EVER!
I got burned bad once and I will never let it happen again! You are putting yourself up for sun poisoning and skin cancer when you get repeatedly burned like that!

alright so today i was supposed to go to my friends b-day party. but of course my dad made me play in a softball tournament instead. i told her i could come to her party around 8 PM. well that didnt happen cuz my dad got hit in the head with a softball and had to go to the hospital and now he has a concussion. so i call my friend when i get home and tell her i cant come to her party. and what a beyotch..i tell her about my dad and shes like oh. she didnt even say is he ok?? anyway..she gets mad at me cuz i apparantly "promised" her id be there and then she hung up on me. i never promised anybody anything. she doesnt even understand that my dad was in the hospital and its not like im gonna go to a party!! its not my falut i had a triple-header softball tournament to play and then my dad gets nailed in the head!! i dont know if i should be mad at her or should i just wait and see what happens??

Well when something goes wrong with my friends and me, I'm usually the one that says something. And since your friend was being so inconsiderate this is what I would do, which I advise you to do as well.
Don't call her tonight (let everyone cool off), wait until tomorrow and when she answers say something like "I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry that I couldn't come to your party but just incase you were wondering, my dad is doing better. Not that you asked or anything." It lets her know that what she did was wrong and you're a little ticked of (well not just a little). Then see what she says.
If she says something like "You should be sorry you didn't come because you promised me!" Then tell her that your dad's health was a priority and if she doesn't see that then she's very self absorbed. Don't talk to her until she comes around and sees that what she did was selfish.
If she apologizes and says something like she hopes your dad is okay, talk it out with her. Tell her that it hurt when you told her about your dad and she didn't care. Realize that she's your friend and wanted you to be there so she was caught up in the moment when she wasn't worried about your dad. She should also realize that even though you told her you'd be there, if something happens to your dad, you need to be there for him.

Hello.
Sit down with your friend in a comfortable place and tell her that you really want to reconcile what happened and would like to be friends with her again.
If she acts offstandish after the talk, move on. She probably still feels upset over it, and maybe has even moved on because it was probably a very emotional experience for her, also.
The thing I can offer you is that every once in a while, relationships take their turn and you may not be as best of friends.
I am sure that she will appreciate your gesture and maybe even begin talking to you again. If not, move on and become friends with different people.
Her not talking to you after the talk is not your fault - it's her choice. A friendship is a two-way street.
It doesn't mean that all your ties with her have to be broken, you can just move on.

To my family, what I know is either never taken seriously, or they just dont listen to me, then realize im correct and dont give me any credit, or change the subject when i say "thats exactly what i just said" or something like that. to SOME of my friends, they use me for multiple things, and boss me around. its like to my family I have a say nobody everyone overlooks, and to some of my friends I dont even have a say. please help me (link)

With your friends, you can totally change that. Stand up for yourself. When they try to boss you around, like if they tell you to get something for them, tell them to do it themselves. It sounds mean but it isn't because they shouldn't be pushing you around. It'll take practice, but you need to learn to stand up for yourself or later on in life people will be able to just walk all over you. That's practically already happening with some of your friends.
With your family, I'm in the same situation. I'm one of the youngest in my extended family and no one ever listens to when the younger ones have to say. Adults won't take you seriously unless you are also an adult, just a rule of life. And older family members that aren't adults think they're too good to listen to you. Would you listen to a 10-year-old? Maybe, Maybe not but I bet you wouldn't take them seriously.
When you have something important to say, get everyone's attention before you say it so you know they hear you. I know, easier said than done.

Hello.
Place a really hot wash cloth on it because that opens up the pore.
Get a substance that has Benzoyl peroxide in it and was the blackhead.
This may loosen it and you might be able to get it out.
If not, take the really hot washcloth and squeeze above the blackhead and below it and it will come out. Squeeze it like you would a pimple.
(However, never squeeze a pimple!)
It has worked for me!

Hello,
In my community, getting caught for curfew is a whopping 200 dollars.
You also may be put on a "probation" where you cannot be caught breaking another law, even if it is minor. If you do, there might be more money and yes, community service.
However, every community has varying laws about the issue. It also may be online if you check out some of your community online/police resources.
My advice to you: get home before curfew. Because if your parents or you have to pay a handsome fine, I am guessing they will be angry at you!
