If you are in a lot of pain because of this, and of course worried about how you look when school starts. My advice is to see a doctor. There is a prescription burn cream that will help heal the skin at a much faster rate than anything you can buy over the counter.

Buy some aloe vera. Its sold at just about any drug store & walmart. Its in a clear bottle and its a green gel.

You might want to see a doctor. because i did that to my chest one time and i was up for sun poisoning. And you do not want sun poisoning.

Don't worry it will be gone most likely by the end of the week

i would buy alovera to put on it and/or they make this spray that cools sunburn

nonscented lotion may also help but i would be careful because the scent might make it burn

I would avoid swimming for a few days because again that may burn your face and wash it with nothing but babywash or just plain water

Use some good moisturiser..it doesnt haveto be expensive and then try using a mild facial scrub to remove the dead skin cells.

You might want to go the doctor to figure out what he recommends for you whether it being a medication or lotion or w/e.
Good luck hun!

solarcaine is probably not good for use on your face. it comes in a spray that you really don't want in your eyes or 2 to 3 inches away from your eyes. instead, buy a lotion with lidocaine or (best of all) an aloe vera lotion. oatmeal soaked in water (or aveeno lotion) is also a good, natural, plan. it will speed up healing. aloe will relieve pain. alternate using them beginning with aloe.

Solarcain makes really good products, I get burned alot due to being so pale I glow in the dark! Solarcaine has a new product that has lidocaine in it, this numbs your skin and there are other componants that help it heal. I also alternate using the solarcaine spray, this provides instant relief as well.

It will take about 2-3 weeks to heal, so you should be fine for school. Don't scratch and you will have no scars. Anything will aloe in it also speeds recovery.

Hope this helps.

orphans answered Sunday August 6 2006, 11:11 am:
Hello,

A product I use that really works wonders for me is Solarcaine. Gently put it on your face, but don't put it on too much. Just once or twice a day. You could also use Neutrogena After Sun Treatment.

Most likely, your sunburn will be gone when school starts. I have gotten bad sunburn before, and it will take a good two weeks before it will fully heal.

If your sunburn itches, it just means that skin is growing back and do not itch your face! EVER!

I got burned bad once and I will never let it happen again! You are putting yourself up for sun poisoning and skin cancer when you get repeatedly burned like that!

Good Luck!
