Car got egged Does anyone know how egg affects a car's paint job? My car was egged about a week ago and when it happened, I only noticed it on the right side so I cleaned it and everything. But today I noticed it was on the back of my car as well.
When I cleaned all the week old egg off (which took forever and a day), I noticed that the paint under the egg/shells was cracked and pealing. I was soooo pissed off. But, can egg really do that? I KNOWWW the paint wasn't like that before.
Sorry for any typos, I'm in a hurry.

you can get paint redone for pretty cheap. just remember the less you pay the less time their gonna spend on your car. so if you want the job done right it would be best for you to sand and prime the area you want done and then remove or tape over any badges you have and your lights. or depending on the car and how old it is and how old the paint job is you could sand the whole thing and spray paint it yourself with a gloss spray paint. Rustoleom Gloss White worked great for me ]
eggs, ketchup, ham, turkey coldcuts, soda, and well anything with any sort of acidic content can do this. eggs have trace amounts of acids inside them that allow for the unborn chicken to live off the nutrients within that egg. now the egg when thrown on a car will not have an instant effect and if washed off quickly will not do any damage. but if you let the egg literally bake into the paint of the car like you did over the course of a week you'll find your paint peeling where egg once was. and since a paintjob costs a good $1000 for even a small area like that your best bet is to actually go buy a sharpiethat is the same color as your car's paint and color over the egged sections. it's a simple, cheap, trick that actually works despite the fact that you'll have to recolor it every few weeks. it's much cheaper than a paint job. ]
Yeah, it actually can do that. It has something in it that does that, i'm not sure how, but my grandpa {he owns a car garadge} knows stuff about that, and told me one time that eggs can affect the paint job. I suggest, get a paint job on the spots, or find some type of cleaner for it.
Hope I helped. Happy Summer :)
