Hello! I am studying esthetics at an Aveda Institute after spending years in retail. I am proof that nothing turns out how you think it will, and that's a good thing. When you think you've got it figured out, you don't. Life would be boring otherwise, right?

They can but it's not very common. Growing pains are a lot more likely.

is ap spanish hard?

Just generally speaking, all AP classes are hard, that's why they're AP.

At my school, there's AP Spanish and AP Spanish Lit. AP Spanish has a big focus on grammar.

Generally speaking, I like how I look most of the time, but I would like a change. I don't want to do anything really drastic or anything, but I would like to do something that people would notice.

It would be great if you all could give me some advice on this? I have pretty short hair and I wear minimal makeup, but I want to mix it up a bit. I'm open to all suggestions, so thank you in advance.

- Straighten your hair or use spray color (available at drugstores) to color the tips.

- Line your top lids and wear mascara to open your eyes.

- Use blush, it seriously makes a huge difference.

- Wear cute dangly earrings.

- Find the perfect shade of lipstick...it takes a lot of searching!

- Use tinted moisturizer for a subtle glow.

can eyelashes grow back?

Some do, it depends. If they do grow back, it'll be slowly though, because your body isn't really equipped to handle losing a lot of eyelashes.

And if you're good at makeup, try false eyelashes- cut into small portions for a more natural look. Available at drugstores.

I need help looking for jeans. I want skinny jeans, but not the ones that stick to your skin. Kind of like the baggy skinny jeans, if that makes sense. I've checked Kohl's, Old Navy, Walmart, and Target.

Try Zumiez or Vans, that's where my brother got his. Other places that might work: Nordstrom, Macy's, Hot Topic.

I have applications for different jobs and all of them ask for work experience, but the problem is I have none as this would be my first job. And I fear leaving them all blank would look bad, but I don't know what I could put- some ask for personal references instead but I don't know any that would actually sound appropriate.

Just leave it blank or put "N/a"- for an entry level job this should be fine. If you have babysitting or volunteer experience, put that down.

Personal references means you put down the number of a non-family member who can answer questions about you (Do you feel this is a good job for this person, What are the best qualities of this person, etc). Use a family friend- no relatives or friends your age.

this girl just out of no where, wrote to my inbox calling me fat and saying alot of other ignorant stuff. and the funny part is i dont even know her and i highly doubt she knows me.

Where did you get your prom dress? Not at the mall, right?

The mall is generally a bad idea unless you want the same dress as someone else. If you have nowhere besides a mall, shop at least four months in advance.

Ordering online is also a bad idea, because for prom dresses it has to fit perfectly.

If you can afford it, get yours custom-made. It's really worth it- or at least, when you buy your dress, have it altered to fit perfectly.

Otherwise, try looking somewhere out of town or at a dress store such as Blossom.

i wanted to see this movie but my parents wont allow it. whats in it thats so bad? explain please.

It's a really great movie (I thought I would hate it, I hate romantic movies) and I recommend seeing it when you're an adult.

There is one sex scene with teenagers- but nothing really happens, the girl gets nervous and they end up not doing it. Nothing is shown except backs and shoulders.

There's another sex scene with adults but again, it's really nothing bad, nothing is shown.

You might try reminding your parents that it's PG-13 and no nudity is shown.

The only thing you can really do is move on. Distract yourself with activities and friends for a while and know that rejection is just a part of life. Eventually you will find someone else you want to ask out. Until then, forget about the person who said no. They're a lost cause.

Your spelling and grammar are atrocious, but moving on...

This SITE (with an S not a C) as a whole cannot be "a" racist. That's logically impossible. And it's pretty much impossible for people on this site to be racist since they cannot see what you look like. Unless you write "I'm chinese" or "I'm black" and the beginning of every question they have no way of knowing who you are and what you are. If you're referring to the fact that we look down upon questions written poorly (whether it's capitalization or ebonics("ghetto" talk/writing) or whatever), bad questions make the site look bad and give the columnists headaches when they try to read them.
Do you honestly have any proof, or are you just mad because someone answered a question bluntly or your question got deleted? In a site that's estimated to have 45,000 people on it, of course there are bound to be a few racists but they generally don't make themselves known.
I also have a feeling you don't know the true definition of racism- don't take it personally, most people don't know either-
Racism is technically thinking that one race is superior to another or that races make a difference in achievements in learning, sports, etc.

In an interview situation when is it appropriate to ask questions about benefits and salary?

I'd avoid it, but if you feel you have to, wait until the end, when they ask you if you have any questions. (If they don't, just drop it, you can ask later if you get hired)

how come whenever i get the mail, theres like most of the time, always a dog staring at me out the window, and it barks as i walk? that same dog has been doing that for ages and for everyone who walks by their house. and next door like twice THEIR dog did the same thing. do all dogs do this? why do they wait by the window alot anyways? i dont get it..

It's their way to letting their owners know that there's someone near the house, protective instinct I guess. Almost all dogs do this.

Hi! Well I'm not soo sure this goes in the right category but I've never gotten anything from Starbucks so I want to order something good but not something they would think impossible of making because then I would look like a total idiot (haha). So is this impossible:

Well, that drink probably wouldn't taste too good.

Frappucchinos are cold drinks that can't be ordered hot. if you want a hot mocha drink , just say mocha.

So it'd be:
Tall skim double-shot mocha with two pumps of vanilla and extra foam. That's really a pain though.

Personally, I like Caffe Vanilla Frappucchino with caramel sauce. It's sweet but good. Peppermint Mochas, Orange Mochas, and Mint Mocha Frappucchinos are also good.

I'm having trouble sleeping, it feels like I'm never tired, and when I am, I still can't fall asleep. I'm not having nightmares, or scary thoughts, I'm just not being able to sleep. Like I'll shut my eyes for over 3 hours, and still be awake, and it's really annoying. Any ideas what wrong????? Oh and by the way my bed and pillow are comfortable, so thats not a problem either. There's no way to know what's causing it. If you're sleeping late because it's summer, that might be why. Here are some ideas:

- Avoid sugar, caffeine, exercise, and eating close to bedtime.

- Do something relaxing before bed. Stretch, listen to quiet music, take a bath.

- Try using lavender products, for some reason they help people sleep. Bath and Body Works has a good Lavender Vanilla spray, lotion, and oil, put some on or spray a bit on your pillow.

- If all else fails, try Melatonin supplements. Available at Trader Joe's and anywhere that sells supplements, you take a 500mg chewable a half hour before bed and it really helps.

I deleted the one I just posted because I realized that I left out crucial information: Yesterday I had a major fight with Tania and I spoke to our Human Resources person.Tania (the manager)has been picking fights with everyone.She fought with Nancy, she fought with Regina whose the quietist person on the face of the planet),she fought with Lenny, etc.Yesterday I was at Lennys terminal because I needed to look up a phone number.Tania saw me and said can I see you for a second.When I was in her office she then told me that I should not ever talk to my coworkers,that we are here to work, not talk to one another. Well that is when I said to her why was she fighting with everyone. And she said if my coworkers have a problem with her then my coworkers should tell her.I said to her that she is not the owner of the company that the CEO of our company is. That she is just an employee like the rest of us. She told me that if I am not happy I should do what makes me happy and I should call Human Resources.So I told I will and I did.She said she will give me the phone number to call but first she has to call and tell them to expect my call.She did that and ten minutes later I spoke to James of HR privately so no one else could hear what I told him.I told him everything about her, how she is fighting with everyone, how she does not want us to talk to one another, how she wont let us go in the break room during the day to have a cup of coffee.I also told him that on Friday when she went out to a meeting everyone was so relaxed, that they did their work but they had fun doing it and we all took brakes to speak to one another.He said that when the Regional comes back from vacation he will talk to her.James could not believe what he was hearing. What do u think? (TANIA REPLACED OUR FORMER MANAGER(A GUY) WHO EVERY ONE LOVED. HE KNEW HOW TO MANAGE SHE BULLIES and Today no one spoke to Tania at all and she hardly spoke to us. Dealing with a problematic boss is part of the working world and if you want to work you need to learn to ignore things. Arguing with your boss (or anyone at work) is a terrible idea if you want a job.

Okay, so I have an interview tomorrow at Carrabbas Italian Bar & Grill, to be a hostess. And I am EXTREMELY nervous! Has anyone ever been to an interview similar to this one!? What will they ask me? What qualities of myself should I stress? I am so nervous it's ridiculous lol... Also, I'm 16, female, and this is my first job! I'm a very fun, bubbly, energetic person, and I'm always really happy. As I said, this is my first job excep one night I washed dishes at a restaurant with a friend because her friend who was supposed to work with her couldn't... but other than that, nothing! Oh, and how should I dress??? My parents are telling me to dress professional, but I don't wanna come off as a hardass! Like I have this outfit I wore for my grad project (yeah my school does it sophomore year) it's this nice shirt, tan dressy pants that are baggyish- very office/vogue lol and heels... but I think it's too much. I was just gonna wear that nice top, a denim skirt, and flip flops, because I don't wanna show up looking like someone I'm not, because then I'll seem fake and plus, I know I'll be wayyy more comfortable in the interview wearing clothes that I usually wear. Would nice jeans be acceptable!? Ahhhh I'm bugging out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You soooo muchhh!!!! ♥

Emphasize that you work well with people and that you are energetic and patience.

Definitely dress professional. For any interview, flip-flops are a bad idea.

Dress pants and a high-cut blouse or nice shirt and either close-toed shoes or flats. It's not being fake, it's being respectful and professional. Make sure your nails look nice- no red polish or anything, just a light color or clear and make sure they're clean. Hair up or at least out of your face, natural looking makeup (no glitter or shimmmer).
