Depends on you really, and what you perfer. You can look online or a nice dress store.I got mine at cliche.Which they have a lot of very gorgeous dresses,But I'm pretty sure if you go to a formal wear place, you'll find some pretty dresses. It kind of depends on your budget though.Hope you find what your looking for. :]

i always go to different bridal shops. they always have formals there. also, if you are willing to fork out some cash, you can get prom dresses at places like express or betsey johnson (they both have websites if you want to look). most people don't get the chance to wear betsey johnson to prom! haha, but there is one bridal store in my city that everybody goes to, but the cool thing is that when somebody buys a dress, they write down your name, the kind of dress, and what event you are wearing it to. other shops probably do this too. so if it's a local place, you can ask to see who has bought which dresses there. it's very handy! if you have any big cities around you they are sure to have formal shops.

um not like a mall really, you want to go to a dressy dressy place, like a wedding gown shop. not local! you will bump into people from your school there! AND THEY CAN GET THE SAME ONE IF YOU GET IT FROM A MALL!

go like, out of state in a tiny town to get a nice, unique prom dress =)
trust me, i know from bat mitzvah and my sisters prom experiance.

I got mine from a wedding dress shop. Just look in your phone book's yellow pages under "formal wear", "special occasion wear" and "bridal dresses".

If you don't want the same dress as someone else, shop in a formal dress shop. They usually have it where you have to register your dress, that way no one else from your school can buy it. That's what I did. I got mine at David's Bridal, and no one else had my dress =)

If you want something REALLY unique, don't shop in your town. That way no one will have even seen the dress before.

The mall is generally a bad idea unless you want the same dress as someone else. If you have nowhere besides a mall, shop at least four months in advance.

Ordering online is also a bad idea, because for prom dresses it has to fit perfectly.

If you can afford it, get yours custom-made. It's really worth it- or at least, when you buy your dress, have it altered to fit perfectly.

Otherwise, try looking somewhere out of town or at a dress store such as Blossom.

I got one of mine at the mall, JC Penney.

I got the other five online. Just type in prom dresses on google and the ones you'll find are gorgeous.

Well in that case, the mall isn't a good choice. Depending on where you live, there are lots of prom specialty stores. All of the younger girls usually get their prom dresses at malls, and during my senior year, 4 of them showed up in the same dress. I guess its not a happy feeling, haha. Anyways, good luck in your search.
