I'm only a 13 year old girl in school is the only time i can really express myself when i'm happy ang in a good mood I feel that life is great but only for 8 hours evryday. When i =I get home it's always another fight with my mom i HAte her so bad she is always calling me names like dumass, stupid,i hate you why me ,why did i keep you, i hate that kid, moran, idiot, worthless trash. After a while she says wwwwwhy u mad? what i id like if she dosn't know what she did and im crying in my bed searching for easy ways to put an end to this. I just hate when she says i work alot for you etc i buy u evrythnig you want.. BIG WOOP she dosen't give me what i really want LOVE a mother that i can trust talk to communicate with. The only one who gets me is my dad and best freind in the world we known each other for 10 years, she is the reason my i havn't tried jumping off my balconing. I just hope that one day i die in my dreams. what do you think i should do with my stupid mean retarded mother or lik i say that women (link)

Tell her how you feel. Really, she needs a wake up call. Just tell her you live everyday of your life
wanting to kill yourself because she treats you like shit. Then tell her what shes doing. Don't back down.
Will it be a big old fight? Sure will. But it needs to happen. Remember, no matter what she may say, she will hear you. It might take some time but with any luck it will sink in when she takes time to think about what you said. Then, I hope things will get better for you.
Killing yourself is never the answer. If she doesn't stop then steer clear of her the best you can. Let her yell and call you names and just ignore her. Don't answer back or fight with her. Let her think she has won. You will know better.
Just don't let her feelings of worthlessness get
transferred to you. You will turn 18 and move out on your own one day. She will be left a lonely bitter woman while you enjoy your life.
Hang in there and stop by anytime to talk. :)

I'm sorry if this is slightly long, I'm going to ask my gyno about this also, but it says you were an EMT.
A few days ago I had a follow up gynecologist appointment because my pap smear came up abnormal. I am 17. During my colcoscopy, they found abnormal cells and therefore performed a biopsy. The gyno said there is definitely something there, and they'll do further tests to see if it's high risk or low risk, she says it's most likely low risk HPV.
The first guy I was ever with was a virgin, and the second I was with had been with a few girls previously. I contacted one of his ex gfs and let her know of the HPV because he was with me RIGHT after they broke up. Her pap smear came out normal and she's fine.
My question is: they had sex 1-2 years ago, do you think she had HPV and her body got rid of it on its own? Because there's no way my first partner had it, therefore my second must have. I just have no idea why his ex gfs pap came up normal. Recently, my first partner said he cheated on me but I think he's lying, and either way we had sex almost 2 years ago, and the HPV would have probably passed by now.
Any help is appreciated, sorry if it's complicated. (link)

Its possible she had it and its gone away. Here is
some info from the Centers for disease control. You
can go here to get more info. http://www.cdc.gov/std/HPV/
The facts
• Genital human papillomavirus (pap pil LO ma VY rus)
(HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted virus in the United States. At least 50% of sexually active people will have genital HPV at some time in their lives.
• Most people who have genital HPV don’t know they have it. There are often no symptoms, and it goes away on its own—without causing any serious health problems.
• HPV is passed on through genital contact (such as vaginal and anal sex). You can pass HPV to others without knowing it.
• There is no cure for HPV, but there are treatments for the health problems that some types of HPV can cause, like genital warts and cervical cancer.
A message for everyone
Protect yourself and your partner.
Most people who have sex will have HPV at some time in their lives.
It usually goes away on its own without causing any health problems.
If you’re a woman, it’s very important to have regular Pap tests to check for problems that could develop into cervical cancer. Most women who
get cervical cancer have not had regular Pap tests.
There is no blame, no shame about having genital HPV. The virus is very common.
If you have HPV, don’t blame your current partner or assume your partner is cheating. People can have genital HPV for a very long time
before it’s detected.
Talk openly and honestly with your partner about
HPV and other STDs.

I'd like a good song about going anywhere in the world to be with the person you love. Something along those lines. Any genre.

I've never had a "smelly" period before and I just started today. My period is always exactly 28 days after my last one and this one has been right on track. This time it smells different though! I mean, usually it just smells like blood but today it smells like something else too. I can't describe it but it smells nasty.
I am a VERY clean person! Sometimes I shower 2 times a day even when I'm not on my period. Why does my period smell different this time? Is it because I ate something different than usual? Do I have an infection? Should I see a doctor? (link)
|
I believe that we all know our own body better than anyone else. If anything ever...this smell included, seems odd or not quite right to you, see your doctor.
It may be absolutley normal. But, you will feel so much better knowing for certain. So call your doctors office and make an appointment. You do not
have to be having your period when you go in. If it
is some sort of infection or bacteria causing it to smell different, it will show up in any test they give you.

When the World Trade Center Twin Towers everyone thought that Osama Bin Laden had set out to kill many Americans. I remember feeling really scared on 9/11/01 and just shocked that we were being hit by terrorists. Well, now people are saying it was inside job or something and that our government really planned the whole thing out. I don't mean to be stupid but what do they mean by this? Are they right? Was 9/11 really an inside job? (link)
|
Like the others have said, I doubt it was an inside job.
I do believe however, that there could have been those in the government who knew something was planned and that they did little to stop it. Perhaps not as a conspiracy, but because they were overconfident that it couldn't happen to us.
I think we all probably felt that way before 9/11.
I think that while we can't spend all our time worrying about it, we do need to be careful not to
become so overconfident that we allow it to happen again.

I was wondering today about how many women get abortions each year? I mean, I heard about girls going for abortions ALL the time. I keep thinking about how many lives could have been born if they wouldn't have done those things. Anyway, enough of that pro-life or pro-choice type thing--I just want to know about how many women, on average, get abortions each year? (link)
|
According to the National abortion Federation....
http://www.prochoice.org/about_abortion/facts/women_who.html
Each year, almost half of all pregnancies among American women are unintended. About half of these unplanned pregnancies, 1.3 million each year, are ended by abortion.

This is regarding the question about the 7 month anniversary. I just want to say I love your response. It drives me crazy that people celebrate an "anniversary" for a week, a month, etc. The question included "this will be our first anniversary apart." No, they haven't even gotten there.
Anyway, thanks again for being another sensible person. Sometimes I wonder if there are very many at all. (link)
|
I'm glad you liked my response! It drives me nuts too when they celebrate every week or month. By the time a year rolls around it won't be a big deal at all!
I've been here a while and it seems a lot of the younger crowd just give answers to get good ratings...either that or they are misguided themselves. The good news is they sometimes learn
from the answers we give others. :)

I found a lump in my breast last week. It is still about 2 square centimeters big and I believe it is still in stage 1 if it is cancerous. I did some research and I found that if I choose to leave it untreated, I have about 1-2 years left to live. I'm 15, a sophomore in high school. I've had cysts in my ovaries and the lump may be just a cyst too, but I don't want to tell my parents in case it is cancer. They have to put 2 other kids through college, so I don't want to take my siblings' futures away as well. Breast cancer victims normally die, despite all efforts and amount of money. I don't know what to do. Could you help? (link)
|
You need to tell your parents. If you DO have cancer, and there is no reason to believe you do until a doctor sees you, it is not a death sentence.
Breast cancer, like many other forms of cancer, is
curable if caught early.
Chances are your parents have health insurance. This is what it is for. If you or any of your siblings were to get sick. you are covered. They
will not go broke.
DO NOT keep this to yourself. Putting off being treated would cost a lot more than early detection and treatment would.

I know it's probably really stupid to ask but is Julia Childs a real person? I watched the Julie/Julia movie (starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep) with my friends a few days ago and was curious if it was like based on a true story or anything. I don't know anything about Julie Childs or whatever if she is real so I'm pretty clueless if these things really did happen...does anyone know? (link)
| |
Yes indeed. Julia child was a real person and a chef. She had a cooking show on TV for years. :)

I (25, female) was recently promoted to manager at my small business company. One of my employees (56, female) that I am responsible for has become an issue. Examples of what she has done include:
- mismanaging client accounts (all small amounts, but it's important)
- badmouthing me behind my back to to other employees and then denying it when confronted (at the same time being super-nice to my face)
- insisting that I have the problem with her
- refusing to complete all the duties as outlined in the job description
- taking longer on client outings, which hold up other clients for hours
- taking a valid criticism (she is always late for work) and turning it into a personal attack (I expect perfection out of her, and she is going through a rough time)
- breaching our client oath of confidentiality.
Clearly, I am a new manager. She is also several years older than I am. I have begun a paper trail of these incidents, but is there anything I can do or say to her that will force her to stop gaslighting on me, and take responsibility for herself and her job?
Thanks in advance! (link)
|
I was a manager once and all it took was 3 incident write ups to fire someone.
However, a couple of the things you list should really be serious enough for immediate termination.
Especially the confidentiality breach.
There are so many people out there looking for work.
I would start looking for a replacement and get rid of this employee. As a new manager you certainly don't need someone like this making you look bad or starting things behind your back. Show all your employees that this sort of thing will not be tolerated.
Don't be afraid to ask advice of those who employ you either. Go to them with a plan of action & find out their policy on terminating an employee if you are unsure or don't have a copy of it somewhere.

This Friday will be my 7 month anniversary with my boyfriend and since I've started college this will be our first anniversary apart. I just went home to see him last weekend and I can't do it again Friday. Everyday that we're together he proves to me over and over again how perfect he is and how much he loves me. So I want to do something really nice for him but I have to do it from a distance with limited resources and a limited budget. If I send him something it takes 2-3 days to get there.
I need ideas! (link)
|
You probably won't like my idea but here it is anyway. :)
For your 7 month anniversary...agree to stop celebrating weeks, months & days. Look at the
unnecessary stress it is causing you already.
Celebrate years.
Celebrating every month makes that 1 year just
not all that special. Its just another month.

Is it possible for HIV symptoms to appear like within the next three days of contracting it? Because I read that early symptoms usually occur within 2 to 6 weeks of contracting the disease. (link)
|
Since there are no symptoms unique to HIV you will have to get a test done. Most recommend 3 weeks after exposure.
HIV symptoms resemble the flu. You could also get a rash on your upper body. ALL of these symptoms can also be any number of other, non life threatening illnesses.
Best advice: Don't panic. Get tested and only have safe, protected sex from now on.
Here is a website with some good info.

Do a lot of guys say "that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside" ? I know this is a strange questions but please answer it. Thanks in advance. (link)
|
All I can tell you is that mine never has. I've had him around for 34 years and hes never proclaimed to be warm and fuzzy inside.
However, If yours has said this, don't make a big deal about it. Maybe he is just more sensitive than most. Nothing wrong with that!

I am 3 1/2 months pregnant and most days except like once in a while i am always aggervated or angry. very irritable is this normal (link)
| |
You do have some changing hormones. Even so, always being angry isn't what I would consider to be "normal". Consult your doctor about this. If you don't have an appointment soon, call the doctors office and tell the nurse what is going on.

so my boyfriend and i have been together for about 9 months. he knows like all the things to like turn me on and stuff, but the one thing he likes i like need help with. sooo how do i like take charge?

i want to know who on here actually uses condoms when giving a bj. i'm positive my guy doesn't have any stds because hes been checked...so does it really matter if we use a condom or not? (link)
|
How can you be positive? Honestly, is it worth your life to believe the word of a horny teen boy?
Thats what it comes down to.
Not saying he wasn't tested before. But what prevents a person from getting tested on Monday
& then screwing an infected person on Tuesday?
Then a week later wanting to give it to you?
Not saying your guy is one of those types. But
there are girls out there who thought their guy wasn't that type either.
Also remember some of those answering this question for you are 13 years old & know less
than you do.
So, does it really matter? How much is your life worth to you? Be safe & don't take chances.

hey i have this pain under my left rib(as if you were me right if ur looking at me) and its not the rib its right under it right at the bottom in towards the middle of my body. anyone know what this could me? (link)
| |
It could be a gas pain. It could be an ulcer. Your best bet will be to seek medical attention. We aren't doctors so have no idea for sure. If the pain persists, see your doctor.

can you use nair "down there?" (for girls use) Has anybody tried? (link)
|
NO! Do not use nair for legs "down there".
It is very harsh and could cause very serious chemical burns.
I think Nair makes a bikini area product. You might try that if any.
