My friends hardly ever drink, I mean the only time they have is like on holidays and even then it's not much. We're 14/15 years old, and our "parties" usually consist of sitting around in someone's basement. Someone brought up the idea of drinking... I've always been against it, having an alcoholic parent at home, especially at such a young age. I do wish we had more fun though. I'm scared of it but I'm sick of being a goody 2 shoes all the time, but I don't want to take this to the extreme. Help?

Don't drink just to have more fun... just sitting in someones basement and adding drinks won't make it anymore fun, trust me. With alcoholism in your family, you are more likely to fall into that and 14/15 is a young age to start anyway. if you need anything else, lemme know, i've been through this with several people.

let's say you were stupid enough to steal something when you were young (around 11) and now you're reaching 18 and you've matured alot and grown in faith, and you want to get rid of the damn thing (you've kept it hidden in a drawe in lack of something better to do with it, and you couldnt use it cause the guilt was killing you) what would you do with it? what is the most christian thing to do in this situation? if you dont have the persons adress or phone number anymore so you cant give it back.. should you throw it away? sell it and give the money to a poor person? what would ia pastor say? (im not allowed to go to church.. long story so i cant ask a pastor.. THAT WOULD BE GREAT OMG - can someone please ACTUALLY ask a real pastor/priest about this and tell me what he answered??) thx

Well this is something that is common, not gonna lie. do what makes you feel the most like you've learned a good lesson. You can't go to church to be forgiven... so just say a quick prayer and ask to be forgiven. i would either give it to someone that needs it or sell it and give the money to someone in need depending on what it is and what it is used for. If i had a priest handy i would definatly ask for you... but i don't and this is the best answer I can give you from my 10 years of catholic schooling.

What age did you start wearing deodorent. just curiousity because my son is 10 and i never really have time to figure out if he needs it cause hes always at school then baseball and he comes home and runs right to the shower. Thanks in advance!

I think I was about 10 too & so was my brother when he started. If he's playing sports, don't take any chances. When kids first start wearing it, you might have to remind him to do it or he'll just forget about it.

I got mine at 15 and a half... i too felt that way but in the end, it was well worth the wait. It's better to save that first kiss for someone you really care about and when you're young, first kisses can be awkward and when youre older its not as bad. (from what i've heard). you will just know how to react. before i got mine i was contemplating just how and where it would be and what i would say but when i actually got it, i knew exactly what to do and didn't need to say anything. trust me on this one, no preparation will do any good... it just happens. anything else just lemme know.

Can you put any type of lotion/body lotion, on your face? or is it just for the body? My face is really dry from using acne medicine a lot so I want to mosturize it but I get oily skin a lot and right after I wash my face too so I don't want it to get more oily

For some people it works, for others it just causes more irritation. I suggest curel lotion. it works on my face when i peel from acne meds. it doesn't make your skin oily either.

Just be there for her. Call her and let her complain & whatever & she will love you for it. when she's pushing you away don't say "i guess i'll let you go.." because she'll regret it & get all upset about it. just care about her & stay on the line unless its obvious that she doesn't want to tak anymore.

something happened with my boyfriend (ive been dating him for almost 3 years) and his dad and now he's moving to his mom's house in indiana (i live in illinois). what can i do to not be so upset over this? i'm afraid he's going to forget about me and leave me for someone else.

oh man! well, my bf and I are no currently in a long distance relationship. we weren't together as long as you two have been before it happened & we're working through it. we're 10 hours away. indiana to illinois isn't a terribly long distance. if you guy really love each other, you can probably stay together. talk about it.. mae plans for the future. there are tons of ways to stay in touch now... cell phones/texting/im/myspace/online journals/mail love journals, etc. just tell yourself that it will happen if it's meant to be. it could be worse and he could be going to iraq with the chance of you never seeing him again. try and stay positive and enjoy the time you have left together.

Ok my mom is in her 80s and I am in my 50s. STORY: I buy jewelry that is 99 cents (rings, bracelets, necklaces and pins) that look expensive. Every one including my mom have told me all the jewelry I buy is beautiful and they cannot believe I only spent 99 cent. Tonight my mom and I were discussing the jewelry and I told her that I cannot believe how I can get jewelry this cheap that look beautiful and how it looks as if I brought them at Lord & Taylors, Nordstrums. She turned to me and said; But you cannot get that at Tiffanys; This bothered me and I told her she does not have to be negative. She said; Well they arent real stones, I mean they look like you can get them at Lord & Taylors, Nordstrums, Bloomingdales but Tiffany only sells emeralds, diamonds, etc.; I called my friends and told them the conversation and they told me that all my mom is saying is that the jewelry is beautiful but they are not real stones. MY QUESTION: DO YOU AGREE WITH MY FRIENDS. Thanks.

I agree with your friends on this one. She's said that it is beautiful jewelry in the past & she's just saying that it's not something that is real & overpriced at tiffany's. Don't worry about her - she's probably secretly jealous of your awesome steals.

This may sound nasty but i am a girl and i have alot of hair...on my stomach..back and butt..i hate it so bad !! would it be bad if i shanved it? i heard u shudnt and it gorws bac faster and darker and i already ahve dark brown hair. could i atleast shave on of the three spots ? i hate it and need help on what to do..i cant go get a wax im only 15 my mom wouldnt take me to get it done..me n my bf both think its nasty so wht shud i do ???

My dad doesn't let me have a boyfriend. But for the past (almost) year my mom has let my secretly go out with my boyfriend. Now I have been with my bofriend for almost a year. My mom doesn't know we've kissed (although she almost caught us once). Around the 5th month we did some sexual things that i'm not proud of and actually regret.
I told him and we've talked about it, and he is ok with it, and we haven't done anything like that ever since. Recently i have been feeling extremely guilty because i have always told my mom everything, except what my boyfriend and i have done. The thing is that if i tell my mom i will lose my boyrfriend adn her trust, and if i dont i will feel guilty. I feel so guilty that when i am at his house i get depressed, i want to leave and i feel as though i am alone. I don't know what to do.

I don't think you need to tell your mom what you've done. that's your sex life... i don't think she told her mom about hers, know what i mean? as long as you know it wont happen again, i think its ok to keep to yourself. buttt if the guilt is killing you... go to confession (if your religion does that... you'll feel better) or write in a diary or just tell your mom.

Well I don't know. You see, i'm 13. This boy has been my best friend for about two years and we've been together for a year. It's nice and everything. We are real close and know almost everything about eachother and everything. He's different from the rest of the guys i've gone out with. Don't think I am a slut or anything but we are both comfortable being naked around eachother. He trusts me and I trust him. No, this is not my first relationship. Anyhow, he's always there when i need him. Well, he's actually a nice boy and won't take advantage of me or anything like that or trying to get me to have sex with him. I know i'm young and yes i am still a virgin. Most of you are probably thinking "teen love dont have sex with him" Of course i'll be on birth control and have a condem and everything but i'm not sure if i should give up my virginity so young. So what do you people out there think about the whole situation?

I think it's great that you guys are so comfortable with each other and have a good relationship at a young age but I think you can express your love for each other in other ways besides having sex. there are, believe it or not, otehr ways to make each other happy. what's the rush? you guys have the rest of your lives to have sex. you can hold off for a while and it will be more special to you. I know a couple that was like that... they were together 3 years and after 2 years they started doing sexual things and tried to have sex but it hurt so bad that they had to stop. they ended up breaking up after 3 years and the girl went crazy after it because it was hard to let go. they probably had some other issues but what i'm trying to say is don't rush it, it's not a requirement in a serious relationship. best of luck to ya and lemme know if you need anything else.

I am a high school freshman, female, 14yrs old. I recenetly decided to take summer school classes and cram my senior year of high school into my junior year, so I will only have three years of high school instead of the usual four. Do you think this is a bad idea? I mean, I will never be a senior (no senior prom, which I can live without) and everyone says high school is the best part of anyone's life but i really do not like my high school and how do I know I will like college better? Do you think this is a bad idea? Thanks in advance...

I think it's a good idea... I persoanlly couldn't do it because my school doesn't offer that choice but if did, I'd take advantage of it. School does get better as you go on but not that much better so yeah, be confindent in your choice. you can still go to prom... most schools have junior prom or you can go with a senior guy to get in or get invited after you've finished 3 years if you're still in contanct with any people from that high school.

um well i think i'm too old to be handing out valentine cards but my parents bought me a pack and I don't think they'd get a refund..
do i give it to all the girls in my class or just my friends? there's many people i hate but some girls might get sad because they didnt' get one but i'm really forgetful sometimes and there's this girl that always hang in my group and she's everyone's friend but me because i don't like her so if i don't give her one she'll freakin spaz and screamed it to everyone cuz she's a spaz mouth so should i give one to her? for me, giving a valentine is like giving a ring, i must like that person cuz even though the cards are cheap i'm not wasting paper!..it just feels akward handing out valentines

You could put them in people's lockers if you don't want to hand them out. just be cute about it and be happy that day not like "uhm yeah... heres this valentine." it's all about the attitude. you could give one to every girl but just the card and put a special note in your close friend's ones. What you could do is not put a name on them, just sign them with your name and when someone says hey happy valetines day or gives you something, be like oh hey! i have something for you. (works every time) do whatever you think will make you the happiest.
