I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

Latly ive been suffering from alot of body issues. The first thing you will probably tell me is to tell my parents, well I live with my mom and she doesnt care at all, she will just call me a hypocondriac and tell me im faking it. Trust me I would fake a illness that was severly hurting me.Ive never missed a day of school and I always go to school when im sick. Even when everything is plugged up and you cant here people talking to you.

So latly the issue is whenever I sit down or get up from relaxing, the minute I get up I have the worst headache and I want to pass out. My rib cage has been hurting like other. My knee always snaps not crack, snaps and its hurts so bad I dont want to move my knee. Right now im having trouble breathing like my air passage isnt wide. My back is also hurting to, like deep pressure points. Im really young, and fairly active, not over doing it and not under doing it. I have tried pleunty of sleep and fluids. I dont know what to do. I can take medicine cause we have nothing. Litterally nothing, or my mom keeps it all with her. Im at a loss here, I feel like im going to loss my life over a diesease I may be suffering from all because my mom doesnt care. What can I do?


Ill rate for anything. I just need help what can I do.

Well, you are having trouble breathing, so you need to see a doctor.
If your mom won't take you, you may just have to take yourself and have them send a bill.
Call the doctor's office and explain what you are feeling and your situation. They will tell you your options.

Everytime i take a shower i always have a little bit of hair that falls out and its really werid. does anyone know why it falls out. i took a shower today and there was lot of hair that feel out, like more then usual. i think thats because i have been sick and i havn't eated for hte past 3 days because i've been sick is that why so much of my hair came out. i really don't know and now i am really self concious bout my hair. can you please tell me what is up with my hair. it falls out a lot and i'm scared that it is ogin ot make me blad or something. i knwo that this sound werid but i'm scared bout it. please help me and tell me wahts wrong. tahnks so much!!

Hair does this naturally. Hair sheds, new hair comes in. You know it's a problem when you have handfuls of hair at a time, or your hair becomes thin/balding.

No worries. What you are describing sounds normal.

If you DO happen to start get thinning hair, handfuls of hair at a time, etc. you need to go see your doctor.

I think my boy friend has Ed(Erectile Dysfunction)
He has a hernia and had surgery for it last December it was basically on his pevlic area. We we in the mist of almost having sex and then poof it was gone when it flipped over, it really bothers me...he blames the hernia for not begin able to perform. I've asked everyone i know about ti and all the girls are like thats never happened to me, and the guys said wow maybe he was nervous. I've confronted him about in a non-accusing manor and he tells me i would have been his second....I don't see that was a big deal.

Could he have ed, or am i just that unappealing!

Um. Well. If his hernia is causing it, then it's causing it. If he had surgery in December, then that really wasn't too long ago.

Yah, all the girls say this doesn't happen to them, but have their boyfriends dealt with what he has? Have their boyfriends had surgery in their pelvic area? I highly doubt it.

Don't make a big issue about it. The more you do, the more anxiety it will cause him. More anxiety can lead to him feeling inadequate. Him feeling inadequate... well, good luck getting any.

I just turned 14 but i smoke ciggerettes NOT all the time. but like i would not smoke in a while and say i quit and stuff. then i would goto a friends house and we all hangout and they always offer me a ciggerette i obviously take it. it's like i HAVE to. and i feel so goood. and free smoking i love it. but hate it at the same time. while i smoke i always think about how my lungs are gonna look if i keep it up. idk what to do. HELP ME!

Think about your lungs before you take the cigarette. I mean, I've been smoking since I was 15, so that's.... 15 years....
It's a VERY hard habit to quit.

If it helps, when a smoke is offered to you, think to yourself, "Am I going to be smart and decline, or be a dunderhead like Mangy Momma and smoke the cigarette?"

Be the smart one.
Your lungs will thank you.

so i have a friend. lets call her A. so A and i used to be really close. we would go on vacations together and everything. then she started to steal my clothes and whenever i'd find out she would deny it. i know for a fact that shes taken about 6 shirts. and sometimes i would be at her house and i would see something of mine and ask if it was mine and she said that i left it at her house. and i usually dont even go to her house. anyway, we started doing a sport together. after it ended though she always sat with that group at lunch and basically abandoned me and my friends. then i made a team for a cancer walk but i didnt ask her because we barely talked anymore anyway so i didnt think it would matter. then she found out and got really depressed and my other friend made me ask her to be on the team. i asked her to be on it but i dont know what to do about her. i mean, we used to be really close but i cant trust her. help please?

Well, it's good you asked her to join on the cancer walk. The more the merrier when it's for a good cause. Right?

As for the friendship, she isn't a true friend. Nothing wrong with getting along with her, but do you really want that closeness back? She stole from you, she can't be trusted.

I'm looking into getting my nose pierced. I would like to get feedback from people who have their nose pierced or have done so in the past.

1) How can I tell if the place that is doing the piercing is safe and using acceptable tools?

2) On average, how much does it cost?

3) I know there may be swelling and stuff, but how do I know if there was an allergic reaction or something dangerous like that? How do I know if it's gone wrong to the point of removing the piercing and seeking medical attention?

4) How was the pain scale?

5) How do you know to pierce the right or left side? I'm leaning towards my left side, but I wanted to know what you thought.

6) Does thickness of the nose matter?

7) And if you could just explain what they did step-by-step for your piercing I would appreciate it.

1) If the place looks like a seedy dive, it probably is. I only go to Fine Line in my area, because I know they are a sterile establishment from friends who went there. I wish I could tell you how you can find out, but maybe someone else can answer that question.

2) I think I spent $30, jewelry included. I wager prices vary from where I live and where you live.

3) I didn't have swelling. Any respected place will give you a sheet to take home with aftercare instructions and warning signs. Of course if it gets red and oozing, something is wrong. It's very important that you read and follow all aftercare instructions!

4) My eye watered. That's about it. They do it quickly. Sure, it was a little sore afterwards, but not bad at all.

5) Pierce whichever side you want. It makes no difference. Mine is pierced on the right side. When they asked which side, I asked "Does it matter?" They said nope. "Ok, right side, I guess."

6) I don't know. May hurt a bit more? May not make any difference at all.

7) They cleaned the inside and outside of my nostril. They marked the spot, poked the needle through, pulled it back out, stuck in the jewelry, gave me the aftercare sheet, explained the instructions to me, that was it. Like I said, they did the piercing very quickly.

ok so me and my ex recently broke up and he owes me $40.00. The problem is we dont like talking to eachother and we get into an argument every time we speak! so how should i ask him for my money???

for my health class, were learning how how the baby grows and what you have to do to take care of it. the only thing is, is that we never learned what would happen to the baby if you DIDNT take care of it. like, for example, if you didnt eat for a long period of time. and this is going to sound stupid but, if you didnt eat for a long period of time, would you actually " get rid " of the baby? like, it just wouldnt grow anymore? and how long would it take, like,day's or weeks, before the baby just " dies". im never going to do this, and i know it sounds stupid, but i was just wondering. because we never learned in health.

Ok this might sound stupid but please read! I'm not sure this boy at tennis knows I'm a girl (I have boy short hair and he only see me at tennis so I wear shorts and a t). I was on birth control from June 2006 to Jan 2007. I stopped and slightly irregular periods. I lost my virginity on 12/8/07. I got my period on christmas. i only had sex that one time. i moved back home with parents on New Years day. my mom smokes alot.Also my mom and I dont get along We got a new dog. I started school again. I work a lot. I started bein more active in the music industry. I go to sleep late. I wake up early. I sometimes take a nap for like an hour. I am about 5'2 and 255lbs. I tried to diet for a week but it fell off. I took 3 pregnancy test. 1 in Dec. 1 in Feb and 1 today (St.Pattys Day). They all were negative. My breast arent larger. I have no spotting. Now all I got is like cramps. Stomache pains. My chest area like under my breast and above my belly button be tight and hard to press sometimes. What's your opinion?

If you haven't gotten your period since Christmas, you should at least make a phone call to your doctor's office and explain all this to their nurse.

They will tell you if it is birth control (which if you haven't taken it in over a year, I'd say that's not the problem) or if they think you should come in for an exam.

3 pregnancy tests taken over the course of the past 3 months and all are negative, I'd say chances of pregnancy are highly doubtful. If you are too worried, a blood test at your doctor's office can confirm.

Either way, it is in my opinion that you just set an appointment with your doctor. (If not, at least CALL) There could be something going on that needs your doctor's attention. Or, it could be stress.

Better to know what's going on than to sit there and wonder.

I heard someone say once something about suspicions destroying trust. You are allowing your suspicions to destroy your trust in him.
And you are breaking his trust by looking on his phone when he doesn't know about it. He doesn't want you looking at his phone, so you need to respect his space and privacy.
Just because there is a girl's number on his phone doesn't mean he's cheating on you. You are assuming.
I don't know how you can find out for sure, but that isn't the right way to go about it.
I'd say that until he gives you a reason other than a number on his phone, you need to trust him.
Or say goodbye if you can't.

No, no, no. The semen DOES NOT back up. Condoms are specifically designed for "sperm room." It is their purpose to safely catch semen in a manner that it doesn't cause a plumbing back-up in the guy or flood out the end, and to prevent STDs in both partners.

There is no "a lot of sperm." Only a teaspoon or so. Go grab a set of measuring spoons. Now, pull out the teaspoon measure. One or two of those. Not as much as you'd think. Right?
Unroll a condom and use said measuring spoon to measure 2 teaspoons of water into the condom. That is about what it would be like.

They stretch. Quite a bit. So don't fret that you won't be able to ejaculate into one safely.

The whole point of having the tip on the condom is to prevent any possibility of "over flow." No worries. Practice putting on a condom so you feel confident that you are doing it properly.
