In Missouri, no you don't, all you needed was to bring in the permit & take the vision and road sign test, but im not sure about California, call the DMV & ask them..

Do you know how to use a condom, correctly ? What if it breaks or slips off. Are you 100% comfortable with this guy. (For you to be asking if your ready means you're not sure, if you are not sure, then you are not 100% comfortable with the idea, and if your first idea is to say no, dont secound guess your heart). Also, you say you really like this guy, but do you love him, are you sure its not lust ? Is he just trying to "get some" from you. Don't just asume this guy really likes you, you think he does.. but are you SURE. Ask yourself all this and please just really REALLY think about everything, and yourself and the risks before you choose. I can't tell you what to do.. only yourself can, so listen to your idea, its the right one.

Give the person a little time, to think about the situation, come to the person and have a talk with them. Talk about how their feeling & let them talk about how they are feeling. Tell then again how sorry you are, and how much you'd like it if they forgave you. If they don't accept your sorry right then, give them some time, people can't stay mad forever, and the only thing you can do then is just tell them how sorry you really are, and how much their feelings mean to you, and that you don't want them to hurt anymore.

I'm not going to sit there and tell you your to young and complain about it. If someone chooses to have sex at any age its their own choice, and it't not the place of others to tell them they are in the wrong, just because they disagree.


Now for the advice. You sound pretty nervous and if you're that nervous maybe your not ready. To be fully ready is to completely comfortable with your choice, and know for a fact with out doubt you're going to have sex with him. Yeah, 14 is young, but if you yourself feel as though you're ready then it's not my place to stop you. You're smart enough to know to use a condom, if you use it correctly then the chance of getting pregnant is low. If you really do (think) you love this guy & you know you won't regret it, then go for it, but if there is the smallest chance you'll regret it, then don't do it. That small chance is telling you hes not the right one. Do what you feel is right, and what you feel most comfortable with.
