Q: My height is really starting to get me really angry, for a girl, i guess i am actually TOO tall. Im 15 and im around 5'10'' and every single day someone just has to say something about it and it is really just making me angry the comments and the slurs and juswt everything and its so complicated, its not something small because its not something i can change, people always make fun of me and whenever im with any of my friends i feel so left out because when we take pictures when we have to stand up together i just feel like a giant cuz the rest of them are normal and everyone always makes fun of me. Its upsetting me so badly. Im always known as the tall girl and i just feel so left out I cant handle it because everyone ALWAYS says stuff and i cant ignore it and every time someone does it builds up inside of me. I just want to feel normal. I cant get into modeling etc..so what should i do to make myself feel better about myself? and i dont have any tall friends to hang out with to make myself feel..more fit in. Any suggestions on what to do?

A: I'm almost 15 and 5' 5", and let me tell you: I would LOVE to be as tall as you.

In fact, most girls would. Probably the only reason they're making fun of you or joking about your height is the fact that they're a bit jealous.

You're so lucky to be blessed with that kind of heighth! If you play basketball, that's great. Pretty good for volleyball too. And guys LOVE tall, skinny girls.

Don't feel left out just because you're taller than other people. They probably joke about it just because they wish they were as tall as you.

Don't let it get to you, really.

Q: I wonder whether any music folks out there can help me? I'm working on my audition piece "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from the Phantom of the Opera. On the sheet music, the phrase "too many..." (in the line "too many years fighting back tears why can't the past just die?" if you have the sheet music) the syllables are three quarter notes. Above the quarter notes is a bracket with "3" written on it. What does this mean?

A: The three means to sing them as a triplet.

This means to smooth them down.

I haven't seen the sheet music for this song before, but it's probably broken down like:

Too-man-y years figh-ting-back tears, why-cant-the past just die?

That means to say "Too-man-y" very smoothly together.

Ugh! I know exactly what you're talking about but it's proving rather hard to explain it.

Q: I’m 15 and have huge boobs. In about 7th grade, I had C’s.. and they just kept getting bigger and bigger. Now, I have about D’s, maybe even DD's??? Boys stare, and it gets annoying. I don’t want people to only think I’m pretty or “hott”, because of my boobs, but I do like my boobs… it gives me something that I can be happy ( i guess) about.. because it's uncommon/ the problem that most females complain about is usually how small their boobs are...that they barely have any... but for me, its the opposite! I absolutely love shopping for bathing suits, although I can never find any, for a reasonable price that truly fits- That im NOt half hanging out of (my boobs)! I am a cheerleader and fit, and I have a good body ( i think). I weight about 128 pounds and I’m about 5’7”. My stomach is pretty flat, and I'm happy with my body- but my boobs seem unproportioned! I know most girls complain about how small their chest it, but for me, it’s the opposite and sometimes its soo annoying. Even finding shirts is a challenge. I have to end up getting the XL’s just so it will fit around the bust, even though they’re always big around the stomach and stuff…I dunno, it just seems like my boobs are extra-big, and it gets annoying. Where most people would be overjoyed with big boobs, it seems like they get in the way of my cheerleading and whatnot.
I guess this really isn’t a question that neeeeeds advice.. but I just wanted people to tell me that I’m not alone.. and big boobs r great. Lmao. I’m sure all the guys love em… but it kind of makes me feel insecure.. like everyones starring like “whoa.. they’re huge”.?? Well, I know my boyfriend loves em.. and all the boys are jealous.. but i dont even know what to think. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS SEEM LIKE U WANT WHAT U DEFINENTLY CANT HAVE? :( Please help!

A: It sounds like you're really not that bothered with your boobs. In fact, you sound like you enjoy flaunting them most of the time. Almost like you're bragging about them.

Why are you telling us? We don't really care about how big your boobs are.

If it does bother you, though, wear a sports bra or restricting bra under a loose sweatshirt. That typically makes your breasts seem smaller.

But really... *sigh*

Q: My computer has suddenly stopped letting me visit urls ending in tk. (e.g: http://www.randomsiteetc.tk)

I use Internet Explorer so I thought there might be a problem with it and downloaded Mozilla Firefox but it still won't let me visit those urls.

It's really irritating because all my friend's bands and other local bands have .tk urls and I want to look at their websites.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to solve the problem? I use Norton Anti Virus if that helps, although I've been through the options and it doesn't have anything about .tk urls.

A: Ooh, I hate .tk. I used to have a site there. It is EVIL, stay away!

I believe your pop-up block (if you have one) may be the obstacle. .Tk has a crapload of pop-ups, and annoying ones at that.

Go to your internet options, preferences, whatever it's called, and check out your privacy and security settings. Switch it to low and see if that helps.

If it doesn't, I have no idea what to tell you other than tell your friends to try hostultra.

Q: im about 5'1 and i weigh around 130 or more...
this isnt very proportional, but whats the best way to loose weight, fast, but without much time on your hands?

A: Run, jog, wog, just get your body moving and your heart rate up!

If you're of working age and within walking distance of work, walk. Park farther away from the building if you drive. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Jog instead of walk during the day.

You'd be suprised at how much exercise you can squeeze into a busy schedule! Just add in a little running whenever you can, and perhaps run a bit on the weekends. It'll be gone in no time.

ALSO -- Watch your diet. Cut out all excessive consumption of saturated fats and sweets, eat more furits and veggies, and drink lots of water.

Q: I am so ashamed of my Dad! He is SOO Gross Acting! I want to have a friend over (Amber) for a mini sleepover but I am imbarrassed of him! He makes these Hawking Noises! (lol) and it is SOOO Gross! I Don't Know What She Would Think! He Is Fat and Ugly and I don't even like to be around him! So What Do I Do About This HUGE Problem!!?

A: No matter how gross or sick or ugly you may consider your dad, he's your dad. You can't do anything to change that, so you might as well get used to it. =(

If it really worries you that much, ask him politely to try not to make "hawking" noises around your friend. Also hint that you would like for him to try to be polite around her.

But really, if your friend is really your friend, she'll understand. She won't freak out and not be your friend anymore just if your dad is weird. Don't worry.

A: Yes, that is way too much for a thirteenth birthday. And yes, I would consider you spoiled--but if you've got the money, go right on ahead.

Honestly, don't let what other people think dictate how you live. If you want to be a spoiled brat, be one. If you want to be a spoiled, yet nice kind of girl, be one. Live your life how YOU want to--well, also live how God wants you to, if you're a Christian.

I must admit, the people who will call you spoiled are more than likely jealous. I know I am. I'm from a middle-class family, and I only get a $100 spent on my Christmas from my mom and dad. I AM thankful that I have that much, though. Some people don't get anything.

But yeah... Just ignore it and do what you will.

A: If you know any nifty anti-popup Javascripts and whatnot, I'd go with:

They're pretty nifty; however, if you do get a site on there, it would be BEST to have a program similar to CuteFTP for transfering your files and whatnot.

Download it...somewhere.

Just search for it at downloads.com, it'll be easy to find.

You don't HAVE to have one, but I prefer it.

Q: ok, i'm friends with this guy who has a g/f. But, he gives me signals that he likes me...For Example..I've been at my friends house while he's been there twice. Each time, we've layed either in the road or on the trampoline looking at stars. He asked me at school when we were gonna look at 'em again. I said "who knows?" and he told me that he looked at 'em over the weekend and he thought about me! He always hugs me and smiles at me when he sees me in the hall at school. Today, I saw him and he walked right by me, but i looked at him and he held out his hand and held it for a min. I'm confused...he has a g/f but he gives me hints! what's going on?

A: He must be bored with his current girlfriend.

I wouldn't do those things with him, though, while he's still dating his current girlfriend. I mean, how would that girl react if she found out? Would you ever want to be hurt like that? What goes around really DOES come around, eventually.

If and when he breaks up with his current girlfriend, feel free to make further moves. However, if he flirts with you carefree, he'll flirt with other girls carefree.

Be cautious of that. Guys are jerks sometimes.

Q: i had my period yesterday..is ok to take like one advil or aleve everyday to reduce cramp pains?

A: Absolutely, as long as it's a safe dose of Advil or Aleve.

Make sure you check with your parents before you take it.

If that doesn't work, try doing some mild exercise--surprisingly, that actually helps.

Q: I've been absent from school for a few days and I have to make up a homework assignment. Problem is, I have NO idea how to do it and the teacher will not help me. I am asking for the work and answers to these problems. I will rate high, thanks!

A: Use common sense and basic math to solve these.

If you need to see it on paper, draw a triangle. Label the hypotenuse and other sides.

Then, write an equation to solve the problem.

Use the Pythagorean Theorem, which is:

"The sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs (a and b) of a right triangle is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse (c)."

Or simply,

a squared + b squared = c squared.

Anyway, don't be lazy; do your own homework. Asking for the work and answers might help you right now, but when you have no idea how to do it on a test you're going to regret it.

Q: What are some really good love books? For young girls. That make you say like "awww!! how cute!" and it just makes you read them over and over. :) Any book will do though. Thank you . :)

A: I LOVE the book All-American Girl by Meg Cabot.

I relate to Sam oh-so-much, it's actually quite scary.

But really, it IS a good book. In fact, all of Meg Cabot's books are good. I would also suggest the Princess Diaries by her.

A: Some good furniture ideas would involve alot of white-washed wicker and other wood themes. If you live near the ocean (maybe a lake or river?), try looking at local furniture shops for stuff like that. I live near the beach in NC, and there are quite a few local furniture makers who sell wicker. Local furniture has alot of character to it, and it would enrich the overall look of your room.

Also, type in "white-washed wicker furniture" on Google to find some online stores that sell it.

Q: hi, can anybody tell me, is it possible to reduce the size of MP3s? You know like making a 5 MB mp3 smaller so that it can fit on my mobile phone which only has about 3MB space left. Thanks for your help

P.S ill rate high for any1 who at least tries to help me.

A: This takes a little while, but it's the simplest way I can think of.

Take your mp3, burn it to a CD. Take your CD and rip the mp3 back to your computer at a lower rate.

For example, you burned it to your CD at 256 kbs. Rip it back to your computer at 128 kbs.

This should reduce the file size by about 40-50%.

I know it's kind of long and unnecessary, but at least that's an option!

Q: I have been homeschooled since 2nd Grade and I just went back to school for 9th. It's great, I've had no problem adjusting, I have made some wonderful friends so there is thankfully, no problem there. My question is as follows:
All my life I haven't had the oppertunity to go out with anyone & only be friends with guys. Now, I have made a few guy friends, sophmores, and we started out as aqaintences, but over the past month or so, i ound out through one way or another that one really likes me. I think he's a great kid, and in theory I would go out with him, but I don't know HOW to move from friendship to relationship. It's like it's wired into everyone else's genes and they're telling me to go out with him, But I've always been tought to trat guys as just friends.
I want to know how to get over this? Thank's so much.

A: I congratulate you on actually knowing how to be a guy's friend without being romantically attracted to him. That's a rare thing nowadays. Thank you for understanding that, though.

Now that you're friends with this guy, and you know he likes you, I think you should give it a try.

Going from friendship to relationship is very easy. You just...start dating. There really is no change in the relationship other than the fact that both of you are acknowledging you have romantic feelings for each other. Your boyfriend should be your best friend, not just a guy you think is "hot" or whatever. Those kinds of guys tend to be jerks, while guys you're friends with typically aren't.

Definitely give it a try. You won't regret dating him if the attraction is mutual, I promise.

A: You need to learn to keep some guy friends WITHOUT "falling for them." Do you have any brothers? I'm guessing you don't, because typically girls who are like this rarely have brothers.

Coming from a tomboy with five brothers, I have more guy friends than I have girl friends. I just tend to like guys as friends more than girls.

On the other hand, one girl in my class can't talk to a guy without "falling for them" or flirting with them. She doesn't have ANY brothers, and she's rarely been around guys her entire life.

There's also a girl who is a complete slut, hangs all over guys, etc., and she's an only child.

Learn to be a guy's best friend without having any romantic interest in him.

You may also be a bit immature, romantically. Wait for a while, determine what you're looking for in a guy, and then search for a guy meeting your standards. Narrow it down to a select few.

If there's one thing guys hate, it's a girl who flirts with everyone and their brother.

Just relax for a few months, and start over.

Q: 1. I am a Christian and I always fall asleep when I pray which means I never finish my prayer. I did it for like a month now? How can I prevent this.

A: Don't pray right before you fall asleep.

Haha, I do the same thing. In fact, I did it last night. All I knew was that one second I was praying and the next I was awake and it was sunny. =P

Try praying a few minutes before you go to bed so you can't fall asleep. Try praying standing up.

It's really easy to "fix", but don't worry about it. You're not the only one who's ever done it, and it's definitely not a sin.
