Hey there. Well, the fact that you ddin't meet this guy in some weird chat or something is good. There's no rule saying that you can't like him justb ecause he lives in a different state and y'alls haven't met yet. I say continute liking this guy and give it a chance. You have no reason not to so long as y'all both are willing. But the first time y'all see each other don't get too serious because you still need time to get to know him like *in person* But when y'all do meet talk to him about wanting to have a substantial relationship with one another. Long distace can work, as long as both people are willing to make the effort. Give things with this guy a shot! What do ya have to lose! Go for it! :)

ok there's this boy a whole grade younger than me but i like him. and we talk online and sometimes we get into fights but we always end up forgiving eachother by the end of the night lol. but one time i went up to him in school (he was with his friends) and i asked him a question and he said "hey dork (even though im head cheerleader) do i know you?" i was so hurt that i left and everybody started laughing! then later that night he IMed me and said sorry and i said "2 bad u made me feel like crap so apology not accepted" and i blocked him.. was i right 2 do that? or should i give him one more chance? Well, the fact that the guy is a little younger than you doesn't really matter exept for when it comes to maturity issues. He probably onlyt acted that way because he was in front of his guy friends and wanted to seem "cool". When in fact, he came off as a dorkface to you! haha. Boys will be boys. You'll have to learn that! What he said was rude and you should have every right to feel angry and upset. I think that if this has been a few days since the incidence you can unblock him and CIVILY and MATURALY (set an example for him) tell him that you didn't appreciate his comment and that you don't want him to say disrespectful things like that no matyter who he is around. Then slowly get back into the swing of this and begin to reform this relationship. If he's changed, go for it..if not..forget about him! :)

If you've been rated at least five times, it should be listed in your columnist info. It should also be reflected in the number of filled-in stars you have by your name in the columnist search pages.
When I look at my feedback page and count up ratings, the numbers don't match my average. Why?
There are several reasons the numbers may not match up. First, if the rating is over 30 days old, we don't count it. This gives every columnist a chance to have a "clean slate" if they've been here a while. Second, if the rating applies to a private question, we don't count it. It's a public thing.
I really want to see my rating calculated right now.

Well, even though you said that you have told him not to call her that in fron t of that..you should really try and put your foot down and expressed to him that he should never say that about not just your best friend- but any girl. You need to tell him how it makes you feel and what you think when he says that. Also, tell him you would like him to apologize to your friend and you, or at least stop for good. Give him a few days or so to do this-if he fails to do so..I say ditch him if y'all aren't that comitted because he obviously doesn't respect you or your friend orvalue what you have to say. Stand up for what is right! :)

Hmm. Well, I looked back through some of your old questions and they are that bad. A lot of them probably get deleted because you submitted some questions more than once, you asked how to add 2+2, and you may have been in some violation of the rules about what questions get deleted on the FAQ. Check there to ne sure. I'm sorry to hear that you are frustrated..but hey-atl east this one got approved.
Also, they may get deleted because 5 or more people have rated it with a :(

Well, the best advice I can give you it to just chill out for a bit. Whether you are a girl or a guy, the advice is the same. Maybe people keep telling you no because you asre repeatedly asking people out in the hopes of somebody-anybody telling you yes instead of no. By you acting this way, to many, you may come off as a "player" or worst yet, even desperate. I don't mean to discourage you. It's good to get right back on that horse after you fall..but just not quite as much as you have been. People may think the only reason you are asking them out now is because the ptrevious person said no. Take the time to get to know someone, and let them get to know you..then let things take their natural course and ask them out. Don't rush it. :)

Well, even the girls who say that it's not all about emotions or relationships for them-the fact of the matter is- it totally is. I am guessing you are a girl. So, I would recommend for you notto have a friends with bennefits with a guy for SEVERAL reasons: You always get hurt in some form or fashion like if he dates othwer girls you may feel jealous. Wonder if you were to get pregnant, would he be willing to accept responsibility He is basically using you. He is just coming to you when he "wants some" Then all guys talk and he will prolly tell his friends and you will have a rep for being easy. In, my opinion, it means a lot more and you get more out of doing personal, romantice, and sexual acts with someone you are close to and really are in a comitted relationship with. If you think the total opposite as me, and are willing to take on the above mentioned then sure, try it out but just as long as you know and are willing to accept the aftermath. The choice is always yours-not a friends, not a boys, not mine..yours. You be the judge. Think. :)

Well, first off-it's good that your friend is kinda involved and is supportive. But, with that said you can never let other people (even relatives) get involved in people's relationships because it will just wreck havoc on them. You should find out for yourself if the guy likes you back. You could strike up a convo with him and hint at it, hang out together (invite him to go see a movie or something) and try and see if you pick up any vibes. Your friend may get mad if something does come of you two, it's natural, but she can't stay mad for too long because initially she helped instigate the relationship by saying she wants you to hook up. You need to take control. Find out things with the guy first. Then talk to your friend to see if she's okay with it. Never lose a TRUE friend over a boy that may not even be your boy or may not even last! Good luck. :)

Okay, this is kind of weird for me, but I want/need help...I'm in this after school women's ensemble, and we're singing this piece, Unchained Melody. I love the song. It's pretty, it's fun to sing, and it has meaning - but that's the problem. For some reason, it really strikes a chord, and I've never been able to sing through it without crying. Obviously you can't sing when you cry because your throat tightens up. I do have the option of telling our director that I can't sing the piece, but I don't want to do that because I like it. I can't just sing it flatly without emotion because that's just...bad. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this, or help me in any way? (link)

Well, I can totally relate to your problem. There was as song that we sang once in choir that made me bawl: "When I am Silent" and in addition to that I use to cry when I have to ding by myself. I think the best thing to do is kind of coach youerself a little bit before hand to mentally prepare. I know it sounds dumb, but it works. If you keep telling yourseld "Name, I am not going to cry, I am not going to cry" Eventually, your brain picks up the message and does just that. Another tip, try singing the song in the mirror or a video camera so you can see at whic parts you cry more and less. Stay focused. Even though singing is one thing and acting is another, maybe for this case you can combine the two with a little fiction in the middle. Try pretending you are auditioning for a musical or something or a movie with a singing role and your job is to sing with emotion, bt no crying. Practice and Practice. Have faith in yourself. :)

Yes, it is a proven fact that tanning beds CAN cause cancers. Maybe not by just going one time, but it can. Each time you do you increase the risks of developing it more and more. Think about that. You can get a tan during non-summer months without look weird. Try Myst-On Tan. It is available at any tanning place pretty much. It is about on average $15 per time. You can't get in water for 4 hours after and it lasts about 5-7 days. It look pretty good. No, you do NOT have to be skinny to go get a tan..you could be fat, short, tall, think, average, blue, black, green. It doesn't matter. If you don't want to try Myst-On there is a home tanner you could try that unlike others does NOT leave you orange or streaky. It's called Toma's Tan Perfect and it is available at Target, Walgreens, Eckerd, etc. It's about $15-20 and looks like the real deal!! Try any of those options! :)

Well, you know how when you IM somebody, that sometimes, on the bottom or middle of the screen, it says for example 'xxprincess11 is typing'... (im just using an example screenname) and so I want to know how you get that on you computer? There is a seeting that you would need to select in order for this to happen. But from what I understand of your situation, such is the case because some people choose to select this option ( Found under the Peferences, IM Tab) If the user you are chatting with doesn't have this selected then you will noty be able to see when they are typing a message. People can see you are typing so long as you have this feauture active. Also, when you directly connect with a buddy, you can automatically (even if noone's boxes are checked) see who is typing when. Make sure you have it checked. I believe you go to My AIM, Peferences, Instant Message... try that! :)

-sum up sum down
-scrunched
-crimped
-french braids
-pony tail
-all different types of headbands in it
-chip clip it
-twists with lil' clips
-down with clips on the side

Well, technically you could, but there are specific eye liner pencil sharpeners. You can get them anywhere really. Like at Walgreens or Target for like 2 or 3 bucks. It would be best to use those. Also, some eye liners come with a sharpener. Like Almay Color Stay has one attached to the end because it's a lil' different than your normal pencil eyeliners..so also check for that! :)

Well this is tough postion for all parties involved to be in. But I can totally relate to your case. No amount of "I'm sorrys" or anything along those lines can bring back your friends dad, or the feeling she would get when she hears his voice. There's always going to be a place in her heart that only he can fil for her. What you can do though, is be supportive and be there for you friend in every and any way possible. Like maybe if she has some old video tapes of the family and she invites you over, you could just sit there and and watch them with her and hug her when she starts to cry and it's okay for you to cry as well if you feel the urge to. You could also ask if there is anything you or your family could do to help her and her family. Like helping with funeral arrangements, money issues, food, etc. You could get her a present like that would be good for what she's going through. For example, a diary so she can write all her greifs in it, or a photo albumn to put all her pics of her dad in it. Also, get her a condolance card and write something sensitive in it. Make sure she is aware that you are going to be there for if she needs it. Far too often friends alienate their friends with the loss of a loved one because of being afraid or not knowing what to do. Just do good deeds from the heart. Maybe bring over some of her favorite movies or foods andj ust say "if you are wanting to watch 'em, go ahead nad I will watch them if you want me to." But also take into consideration, that your friends cope mechinism might be to sulk alone. And you have to respect that. So first ask her if there's anything you can do before you smother her. Just be there for her and maybe tell her that God and her dad are both smiling down and looking after her, and after this she will be closer to them both and a stronger person. Just be her friend. That's the best you can do. :)

It's completely natural for you to have the white/clearish discharge. Every girl gets it. It simply means you are a healthy maturing young woman. Something when you have moreo f an amount than usual it indicates that your period it's on the way. It doesn't have to be just for the first time, it can happen every day, every month. Nothing to be alarmed about. If there is an EXTREME (not minor) odor or a color change, lik if it becomes yellowish then you may have some type of vaginal infection(s) and would need to seek help from a docotr..but by the way you described it you are fine. If you don't like the wet feeling or getting your undies dirty, try wearing a thin panty liner or thong liner to keep yourself dry. Nothing to worry about though. :)

Well, I am a huge fraddy cat 'cause I am a loser like that..and most people thought this movie was funny, but I thought it was so scary! My mom had to even come get me out of my room in the middle of the night to sleep with her! Haha

I thought it was scary because some parts of the movie were based on truth. And the town it took place is was 30 miles from where my grandma lives where I go to visit her and she said she remembered when the bridge collapsed (like in the movie) ahh!
