Can anyone tell me a quick way to wash cabbages, greens, fruits, etc clean with no dirt in it?
I haven't did it for a long time so I forgot and I didn't want to tell me dad when he told me to. Last time I took an hour and he yelled at me because they STILL had dirt in it. I was soaking them for hours and they still had dirt, or that I couldn't see them =( it makes me feel realyl bad when my dad scolds me (link)

You shouldn't need an hour to clean those. There should be no where near enough dirt for it to take an hour. Soaking works fine but you should also rub them as water falls onto them. Soaking alone might let the dirt get back onto the friut/whatever you're washing. Also ask your dad what he thinks would work better for him.

Here's my semi-formal outfit so far: Black heels and black dress pants. I'm having trouble finding the style of shirt I'm looking for. I'm looking for a grey or black sweater that's not bulky, or a feminine shirt like the one provided in the link below. I really don't want to pay that much for a shirt I'm most likely only going to wear once. Could I wear a plain grey or black 3/4 length tee shirt and pull it off as a semi-formal outfit when combined with black pants? If not, make suggestions, please. I don't ask for you to provide links.:)

Yup, you could do that. Semi-formal usually means slacks/skirts; no jeans. You can pull off a plain grey or black shirt if you add on some nice earrings and necklace. However, I wouldn't go with black-you'd over do that color. grey would be okay. But I'd suggest a shirt with most color to it. Blue, pink, green, whatever you want. As long as you add on some nice earrings and a necklace, you'll be fine with a plain shirt and dress pants.

ok well this is kinda a dumb question but i need to know. so if you have a tampon in (when you have your period, obviously) when you have to go to the bathroom do you take it out? and what if you don't have any extras with you, do you put it back in?

hey
no. when you insert a tampon, it's into your "hole." it has NOTHING to do with if you pee or not. you can like, hold the string back in case you dont want to get urine on it (like i do) or just leave it there (cause it will dry up by the time you change your tampon... which i find is slightly unhygenic.)
anyway, you can't put a used tampon back into your vagina... that's unsanitary and nearly impossible without the plastic applicator. if, for some reason, you take your tampon out, realizing that you dont have any extras, you have to either stuff toilet paper up there or buy a tampon / pad from the dispenser that there are in most bathrooms.

I have a 2004 mondeo tdci 13o and it has developed a problem. When crusing on motorway all is fine until i accelerate, all i hear is a loud rushing of air, when i lift off it goes away, this also occurs around town when rpm is aroung 2200 rpm, there is the occasional flat spot when this happens and as rule fuel ecconomy does not seem to be effected, please can anyone help

well i'll tell you this much. your turbo is spooling up like it should (you can hear that) but it sounds to me like you have a leak in the piping somewhere. possibly in the downpiping, possibly near the manifold, possibly somewhere else. but i'd look into it. also i'll ask you: do you seem to be losing acceleration? when you get on the throttle does the car not speed up as quick as it used to? definately significant sign of a leak.

My dog is 4 years old and housebroken. Lately (six months and counting) he pees in the house. He usually picks something that is laying on the floor, shoes, bookbags, clothes. He is crated when we are not home and is on a leash when he is outside. What can we do to stop this? (link)

tina's answer below me is a good answer. it sounds good, but then again, maybe your dog is just after some attention, in which case, when you do punish him, you are giving into his demand for attention, whether its positive, or negative. you could just ignore it when he goes inside, showing that doing that doesnt get any attention at all. as you see theres two ways around it, and you have to use the right way, because if he isnt craving for attention, and you ignore him, then he isnt going to think that theres anything wrong with it. i suggest you ignore it when he goes inside. when you see he is about to go, go outside and give him a treat. also make sure that the place where he pee's is the same spot, whenever possible, or he'll get confused. hope i helped

I'm going to tell you what MY schedule is. Maybe you'd like to follow it?
When I'm going to bed, I ALWAYS say the alphabet, I usually drift off at about 'L' because that's all I can remember when I wake up. Also, you could try relaxing your body THEN saying the alphabet. Like, lay flat on your stomach or flat on your back, and say "My feet are totally asleep...feet are relaxed..I can't move them..Legs are asleep" etc, just move UP the body.
Alright, my schedule:
5:00 - 5:15 - eat.
5:15 - 5:45 - work out.
5:45 - 6:00 - shower.
6:00 - 6:30 - hair.
6:30 - 7:00 - clothes.
I brush my teeth RIGHT before I leave, so I have a fresh feeling. (Also I brush them in the shower because I'm weird...but whatever you want lol.)

FIRST PART: Ok I joined an online dating service and I was emailing one of the guys who wanted to know about me and what I looked like. My mom said tell him you are tall and slim. I said to her why did you say slim and not thin because I am thin. She replied because it sound sexier. I got a little upset that she said slim because she always tells me I am thin/skinny. It is the same with thin, instead of saying thin you would say slim. Well then tonight I asked her again and she said the following; (1) at the beginning of tonights conversation - you wouldnt put thin on the online dating service because thin sounds anorexic; (2) towards the end of the conversation - what is the difference between thin and slim. But when the videos do not play, I use my converter to change their format and finally play.
My converter is Agogo..it is good but it does not support FLV videos, wich is what Internet used to play videos.
Ask your friends that know a lot about computers about programs they will help you get them.

This might be long....but anyway: My parents moved into a house this past summer--a bigger house, that NO BODY but my mom wanted to move into. Okay, so she got her way. That's fine.
Now, a new house needs new things, according to her logic. It seems like almost every time I visit there is new STUFF just piling up; new furniture, new accessories. And it doesn't stop at the house. Ever since I was a kid, she'd buy me new clothes even when I didn't ask. Many of you would think that's gerat, and that I shouldn't complain. But really, I don't NEED the clothes, and I know it's just a manifestation of her shopping addiction. She doesn't splurge millions like a movie star, but I'm still starting to get concerned. It seems like almost every time I see her, she's just bought new things. I don't know if I'm in the minority that doesn't care too much for shopping...but really, how can I bring it to her attention that her behavior is actually destructive? And at the very least, how can i let her know that i really don't want her to buy me new clothes all the time? (link)

Maybe you should tell her that her actions worry you. You always have a future to think about and the best way to make money is to save money.
Let her know that if she has an adiction, maybe it would be better for her to spend that energy of hers into some investments.
Does she work? Does she have a lot of money?

I'm 14/f and my friend is 14/f [Let's call her June] and my other friend is 15/f [Let's call her Jane].
So, June made a promise to me and Jane saying that she would not do drugs anymore. Well, just yesterday, June came to school high. She took 20 pills of some sort of drug and my other friend had to hold her up in order for her to stay standing up. It was really bad.
I really want to tell her parents or someone because I think she needs help with drug problems because this isn't the first time she's done it. I mean she took some pills last year DURING school. But Jane is really super good friends with June & so she's afraid that June is going to get expelled or suspended. I know that if Jane is a good friend, she'd want her friend to get help. But I can't convice her. I really want June to get help but I don't want Jane getting mad at me along with a few other people.
I'm accepting the fact that losing a friendship is better than to know that the friend is doing drugs and letting her ruin her life. But my other friends aren't and I'm kind of stuck...help? What should I do? (link)

From watching movies, you the idea that proms are Really special.Nuh...proms are crappy. Pretty much always. A small percentage of people are having an OK time at proms. I got the worst experiences from Proms. This girl got gum in her hair, this other girl broke up, some girl got drunk and puked on a boy she just made out with FLOL!!!
You just show up with your hommiez and a limo (a Hummer with Jacuzzi inside maybe?)or maybe just you and your friend,dress the best you can,get a little bit tipsy with all the school,be a little extra outgoing that you normally are, hit on some girls.
Do not pick on the schools bully, you ll get your ass kicked. You wont have a lousy time. It might be crappy but you wont.

I dont know about Toronto...but in the states they will take the ID. And of course they will not let you in. And if you are really underage I guess the police takes you home or something. But probably not.

I don't know if you're religious or not but this is how I see it:
Once you do pass, you'll get to be with God in heaven. You'll never really be gone, you'll be in the best place imaginable and you'll be with all the great people that have passed before you.
It used to freak me out thinking about dying but now, I just think about that.
