Wait a second, you're asking how to get RID of vaginal discharge?
You need that discharge to be sexually active. It's your natural lubricant. If you're dry, sex would hurt every time, and the guy's penis wouldn't even go in.
The discharge may be gross and a nuissance, but believe me, once you do become sexually active, you'll be thankful for it.
If you have an excess of discharge - like, if your underwear is literally soaked, you might try going to a gynocologist and ask him or her what you can do about it.
If not, leave it alone. You need it. It's not only a natural lubricant, but it's also your vagina's way of cleaning itself and it keeps you healthy. I would worry if you stopped having discharge. I know you hate it, I hate it too, but it's a necessity.
I hope this helps!

A lot of Frenching has to do with what you're thinking, and what you're doing with your tongue - obviously.
However, I don't think you did anything wrong. I think your guy has to realize that he has to open his mouth a little and let your tongue in too. French kissing is a two-person thing and shouldn't really be one person sticking their tongue into the other's mouth.
Next time he tries to French you, maybe play with his tongue a little. Think of drawing circles in his mouth, or the infinity sign, or hearts. Something curvy. Teach him what you like/want by doing what you like/want him to do.
I hope this helps!

Hey, the longer the better. More detail. =)
You've gotta decide what you want before you do anything.
I know you're confused, but I think what you should do is maybe freewrite a little. Write for like ten minutes and focus on that subject. Think about what you want - do you want him, or do you want to be friends?
You say you've gone out before, right, but it didn't work? Why didn't it work? Figure that out - if there's a chance it could happen again, I would just stay friends.
For now, stay friends. He has a girlfriend - you don't want to come between those two. But you should decide what you really want, and then talk to him. Let him know he doesn't have to do anything about it, and that you wanted him to know what you were thinking, since you're so close.
I hope this helps! If not, let me know and I'll see what else I can do. I'm always willing to try harder.

Q: Ok, I am 16/m and and i think i have a problem. I have a 8 1/2 inch penis andd i am worryed that that is small. every 1 says 1 foot is the perfect size and thats crazy. but do u think a 8 1/2 inch "thihng" would b good enough 4 a girl??

You think 8.5 inches is small?
Holy crap. 1 foot is like, disgustingly huge. As far as 8.5 inches being good enough, it's really not the size that matters. I know everyone says that, but it's really true. So yes, an 8.5 inch "thing" would be good enough as long as you know what to do with it. Lol.
Just so you know, I think 6.5 inches is average size.
Hope this helps!

Oh honey, I'm sorry.
I hate to say it, but I think you may just have to move on.
If that asshole found a girl he thinks is "better" than you, let him see how much worse she really is. Whatever you do, though, don't try to make him jealous or anything, Show him that you're the better person and be completely civil. Be cute, be nice, just be yourself.
Maybe he'll see what a great person you are, and what a stupid mistake he made breaking up with you.
Also, talk to him. Find out exactly what he was thinking, and exactly why he broke it off. (Obviously for another girl, but why her? What does she have that you don't?)
However, if all that doesn't work, you may just have to move on. Let yourself be upset for awhile and then let it go. You'll find someone more suited to you - someone who won't break up with you for someone "better". You seem like a sweet girl. I'm sure you'll find someone.
But if these tactics work and this guy sees how great you really are, kudos. ^_^
Listen, I hope this helps. If you want more advice/have other questions, lemme know!

Q: Hi..I'm 17 and I've never ever had a kiss..don't say "Aww it will come soon" or "Don't worry about it!" But anyway, I was wondering how do you kiss..like I always see on movies that when you kiss, your head tilts and moves from side to side..*ahh gets dizzy* How do you really kiss? ..What do you do with your tongue and stuff? Thanks

Well, as far as how you kiss...it's not necessarily as...moving (your head from side to side) as it is in the movies. It's more you tilt your heads so you don't bump noses and kiss. The heads moving side to side stuff comes when tongue gets involved.
As far as tongue, I read somewhere that if you imagine drawing shapes with the tip of your tongue (like hearts, circles, the infinity symbol (my favorite)) it works well.
You're 17 and you've never been kissed? Hey! That's good - you're not wasting your time on losers that don't deserve you. Everything has a bright side. (Yay optimism).
Anyway, I hope this helped explain stuff a little - if you have more questions, feel free to ask me!

Aww sweetie!
Don't worry about messing up. There's really no wrong thing you can do, unless you like, stab him in the eye with your lips...
Let him lead if you're a little freaked by it. Making out is really just a lot of kissing and touching.
If he goes for tongue-kissing, think of drawing shapes in his mouth with the tip of your tongue.
If he does something you don't want him to do, just kind of...move him away to somewhere else.
Don't be scared, though. Making out is really nothing to be afraid of. As I said, though, if you're not sure what to do, let him lead.
Start with a little light kissing, let the kisses get more passionate, etc...He'll help you out, I'm sure.
Or if you want, you could probably even tell him this is your first time making out with someone, and he'll definitely lead you.
Just go with what feels right.
I hope this helps!

Q: I usually don't have much trouble with my love life but I honestly don't know what to do right now.
The beginning of this year, this guy in my Physics class, Mark, and I got really close. We were both falling for each other. Well, we kept getting mad at each other for stupid reason and we're both stubborn. So, stuff happened and we never dated.
About a month after we got over each other, he gets a girlfriend. This girl is one of my good friends. I was extremely happy for them because they make just about the cutest couple ever.
After they're one month, he and I started getting close again. We were still friend but we were starting to flirt and play around more (not sexually but like tickling each other and cute things like that). At first I thought it was harmless. It probably is harmless but he's starting to act like he did when we had a thing for each other. And well, I think my feeling for him might be coming back also.
I feel terrible because I am such good friends with his girlfriend and I'd never want to hurt her. I think she might have an idea about Mark and me because on Saturday, she tried to set me up with a friend of hers. We double dated but Mark and I were paying more attention to each other more than the other 2.
Any advice on what I should do?

Well, in your shoes, I think I'd talk to Mark a bit. Tell him what you're feeling, and what you're seeing and ask him what's going on. Remind him that he has a girlfriend, and she happens to be one of your good friends.
I know you may not want it to stop, but you might want to fix this situation by telling him that all the flirting and teasing is going to have to stop.
Ask him what he wants to do - break up with her? If he doesn't (chances are this will be a no), then he's gotta stop flirting with YOU. He should be flirting with his girlfriend.
But then, you have to ask yourself what's more important to you? Hurting your friend and having fun flirting with Mark or stopping the flirting and keeping both friends?
I've had a similar situation, in the sense that my guyfriends still try to flirt with me and I've had my boyfriend for 1.5 years. I just tell them to back off, and remind them that I am indeed taken.
Mark, it seems, doesn't want you to back off. Do you want him to back off?
The first thing to do is to decide what you really want. If Mark is what you really want, and he's more important than your friend to you, then by all means, continue flirting.
If not, let him know he's gotta back off, and suggest that he focus all his flirting energy on his girlfriend.
Once you decide what you want, talk to him and speak your mind because as much as we'd like guys to be able to, they can't read minds. This is why we have to open our mouths and speak.
I hope this helps!

Q: Ha, this is a really weird question, but my friend and I were talking about a show that we used to watch when we were younger on Nickolodeon. In this show, the characters were always using the phrase "Don't hold your breath!" Neither of us can remember what show it is from!! I believe that the two characters were African-American brothers, but am not for sure. If you have any idea what it is please answer!

Q: I am female and I have a few best friends, one of them happens to be male. Last Summer, we both had strong feelings for each other but it never really worked out because I had a boyfriend and there were other complications.
We are very close, we do act like we are a couple and everyone says so. We hug, hold hands etc etc (we don't kiss). He has had a crush on me on and off since Summer and I am confused how I feel. A few days ago I thought I 'liked' him, I told him and we got together. I was really unsure about it and the first time I saw him after we started going out, it didn't feel right. I felt really uncomfortable and we both knew it wasn't going to work so we broke up.
I know he still 'likes' me but I'm so confused about how I feel. I love him because he's my best friend but I don't know if there is anything more. We already act like we are dating and people ask us if we are all the time, the people who know we aren't always tell us to.
I kind of know it's wrong to do all the physical stuff with him when we aren't a couple but I do really enjoy his company. I don't know what to do, I really like him but I'm unsure as to what way. I can't work out my feelings for him, what should I do?

Well, I honestly think it's only wrong if you're stringing him along, he's stringing you along, or one of you is attached to someone else. Otherwise, you're just having trouble deciding.
Now, usually I say "once you break up, you shouldn't turn back," but this situation seems a bit different. You tried going out, but it didn't work because you felt uncomfortable.
What made you feel uncomfortable?
I think that's the first thing you need to figure out. Was it a legitimate reason - is he more like a brother to you than boyfriend material? Were you just worried about destroying the friendship?
I find the fact that you don't kiss very interesting. Try to see if you can picture yourself kissing him, and how you feel about it.
I had a situation remotely like this in the sense that I thought I was developing a crush on one of my guyfriends, and I had a boyfriend. I knew I didn't really have a crush when I couldn't imagine really kissing him, and when I ran into my boyfriend's arms at the end of a performance (I'm a singer).
Anyway, as weird as this sounds, if you're into this stuff, meditate on it. Focus on it while you're meditating and see if you can figure out what's going on. Or, freewrite for like ten minutes straight - type, don't write - and focus on that subject. See if you can figure out what's going through your head.
Also, have you talked to him about it? He might be able to help you clear up some feelings and thoughts. The source of the problem is very often also the source of the solution. Give it a shot. You never know what might happen.
I hope this helps!

Aww honey...
You've just gotta love yourself. Learn to appreciate the person you are. As corny as it is, when you get up in the morning, tell yourself "I am beautiful," and smile at your reflection, because I'm sure you are.
Learn to love yourself.
I was really self conscious at 14 as well, by the way. It's normal, I think. I'm gonna guess you're a freshman in high school - your first year and all that, obviously you're going to be a little nervous. You'll get more confident as you get older.
As far as being shy, just convince yourself that you're confident and gorgeous and no one is better than you. If need be, add "and no one is better than me" to your self-confidence statement in the morning. It really does help. With the whole getting a boyfriend thing, when you become more confident about yourself, guys will come to you. They like girls that radiate confidence.
(I mean, I didn't even WANT a boyfriend and I ended up with one. He came to me.)
Anyway, if you get more outgoing - talk to peopole, stike up random conversations in the hallways like "wow, this hallway's crowded..." and you'll be surprised at the way you meet friends. Or join conversations if you happen to hear people talking about something you're interested in.
Just make sure you're being yourself. Be confident, and remember you are beautiful, and no one is better than you.
If you wanna talk more, you can IM me at SirenCytherea, or contact me here again.
I do hope this helps a little!

Q: this may sound scary but lately i have these thoughts like a voice in my head saying im a satanist. i don't want to be and i try to force the thought out and think that god is my only one though it always comes back. i got this book and it had a list of all the warning signs of a satanist and i had all of them except for one. i think i am becoming a satanist. i also do witchcraft but i never did anything involving the devil. now all i can think about is becoming a satnist i need serious help. i am originally catholic. and i am a girl.

I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with wicca, if that's what you're into. Witchcraft does NOT involve the devil, to all of you who said so. It's just a different set of beliefs. Because I'm originally Jewish, I don't believe in the devil. If I don't believe in the devil, and witchcraft involves the devil, how could I believe in witchcraft? It doesn't work, which means the devil can't be involved. Yay logic. I made my own religion, and none of it involves a "devil" or "satan" or whatever you want to call it.
Anyway,
You may be freaking yourself out by getting too involved in all this. Your catholic teachings and study of witchcraft could be conflicting with each other and your catholic self could be afraid of what you're doing. I don't think you need to get on your knees and pray to your "savior" or anything like that. You're only a satanist if you decide you are, if you decide to worship "satan" and denounce "god" or whatever.
I don't believe you can "turn into a satanist" against your will.
However, if you really feel that you need to turn to god or any given higher power, do pray, and maybe ask a religious figure or someone you trust for help. Or, if you feel that it might help to talk to someone professional, go see a psychologist (not a school psychologist. They're fake and I don't trust them). They might be able to help you sort out what's going on in your head.
In the meantime, don't freak out. Meditate at night to relax your mind and convince yourself either . Maybe lay off all religion for awhile, including wicca/witchcraft, and see if that doesn't help.
I hope this helped a little!

This doesn't warrant a breakup in the least...It's a simple miscommunication problem.
You might want to point this out to your boyfriend. He might not realize he's being distant. My guy's done that to me, brought me along to hang out with him and his friends and ignored me. I told him and he said he hadn't realized he'd been doing that and apologized profusely. Let him know he gets distant when you two are around his friend and that it bothers you.
Communication is KEY in all relationships, no matter how young or old you are, so keep it up!
He can't know what's going on in your head if you don't tell him. As much as we wish they could, guys cannot read minds, which is why we have to tell them what's on ours, and convince them to tell us what's on theirs.
I hope this helps!

Q: my daughter has just had her parent teacher evening in school and a few things came to my attention, they have been monituring my daughters behavior and said that she has been diagnosed with ADHD. all this was done without me knowing a thing. is this normal? my daughter and i both feel this is unacceptable but were not sure if thats the way it happens.. so is anyone else been in this situation?

That is not the way it happens. To be diagnosed with ADHD, your daughter would need to actually be seen by a doctor. Schools nowadays tend to just assume ADD or ADHD if a kid is distracted. I mean, they even tried to diagnose me with it, which is frankly ridiculous. I doodle in class, yes, but it's because I'm bored.
You and your daughter are correct in feeling that this is unacceptable. If you're worried about her having ADHD, talk to a doctor, NOT a school. Schools know nothing about children, and I stand by that.
I have not been in this exact situation myself, but several of my friends have, and I ask you not to make the same mistake their parents did in simply getting them medicine they may not need. Talk to a doctor about your concerns and see what they say.
I hope this helps!

Hey, irregular periods are totally normal for about 1-3 years, sometimes more. I got my first period when I was 12, about to turn 13, and my periods were still irregular when I was 16, until I went on birth control.
So don't worry about it, you're totally fine.

Q: K, so I've been going out with my boyfriend since 1-31-05, and lately we've kind of been like, you know, "touching". At first I was kind of like, well I dunno about this, and feeling indecisive about whether we should even be doing it, but kind of wanting to at the same time. (I'm 14, he's 15) Well now my problem is that when he touches me it feels *kind of* good at first then it just hurts. What are we doing wrong?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|

If he's touching you "down there" and it feels kind of good at first, then hurts, he might just be a little rough, in which case you should let him know you need him to be more gentle. Also, make sure he doesn't have nails. Nails can reeeeeally put a damper on a good thing.
You're probably not doing anything wrong - everything takes practice to get right, no one's perfect at anything at first. Just experiment a little and figure out what you like. Don't be afraid to actually guide his hand and show him what you want.
Don't worry about it, it'll come with time, and communication.
I hope this helps!

Q: I'm going on a vacation at the end of June. I am not exactly sure what days I will be gone, but it is looking like my period might land right in the middle of things. While I know that nothing is certain at the moment, and that whether I want it to or not my period will show up, I would really like to avoid the hassel- I don't take many vacations, and I don't want this to ruin it. Is there any way in the world that a doctor would prescribe Seasonale, or some other tri-monthly birth control, to a healthy 15 year old? I don't even know if there will be time for me to start anything before the vacation, and this is kind of a desperate hope, so tell it like it is. Thanks for your help!

I'm, in reality, not totally sure if a doctor would prescribe birth control to a healthy fifteen year old, but there's never any harm in asking. I would give it a shot.
As far as birth control goes, There probably is time. You usually start birth control on the last day of your period/the sunday after your next period. It takes a month to go into affect (at least, I think it does, but I take a monthly thing). So if you haven't had your period yet this month, you might wanna go to the doc before you do.
I hope this helps, and good luck with all that. Have fun on your vacation!

I'm a laid-back 26 year old with a Psychology BA, starting my MA program, and working my way into the field as quickly as I can. It took me an extra Bachelor's degree (in vocal performance and creative writing) to figure it out, but I was put on this Earth to help, to heal, and to love.
I have made the decision to dedicate my life and career to helping others. I am here to do just that.
I've been a member since 2004, and since I signed up, I've gone through quite a lot and learned quite a lot from it. I'm here to give guidance where I had none; no one should have to go through the difficulties I went through alone.
