this may sound scary but lately i have these thoughts like a voice in my head saying im a satanist. i don't want to be and i try to force the thought out and think that god is my only one though it always comes back. i got this book and it had a list of all the warning signs of a satanist and i had all of them except for one. i think i am becoming a satanist. i also do witchcraft but i never did anything involving the devil. now all i can think about is becoming a satnist i need serious help. i am originally catholic. and i am a girl.

Well I think you should stop the wich craft.you cab not becone a satanist with out exeping it.Talk to god and ask him to help with this .Stay srong.

Ok Satanism and Witchcraft are NOT related, and I know for sure. I do religious studies...but anywho you may want to learn about Wicca/Pagan and Satanism a bit more before you attempt to pick what you are. But, yes go with your thoughts, its better then being forced into something you dont want :)

See a physciatrist. This could be a mental illness. Till then, do what ever brings you comfort, whether it be taking to a friend or pastor, or taking counciling. Hope this all works itself out.

talk to the preist at the church.every time you get these thoughts in your head just go to the church or do good deeds.do you practice wicca.i used to practice wicca to.i gave up wicca because it was scary.give up wicca,it may be medeling with your head.wicca can be realy scary.
i think that worrying about being a sataniist is a sign of being an angel.you worry about being a satanist because you do not want to hurt your loved ones.the book you read was probably written by a crazy kid or someone like that.you cannot belive everything you read.do not feel scared to talk to the preist.if you are to frightened to talk to him talk to a nun.only they will know what you should do.do not be frightened of him.he is a good man and will not turn his nose up at you.i personaly don't belive its possible to be a satanist because god created you he made you the way you are.he made you the way he wanted.why would he make you a satanist?remeber god is good,he made you good and he loves you because you are his creation.never fear god because god is good and he doesn't make satanists.

Satan is tempting you.. and you need to draw close to God, He is the only one who can help you!.. Drop all this witchcraft and practices you are doing.. and go to church.. ask a pastor for help.. do everything you can do to draw close to God once again. I dont think you need to go to Catholic church.. try an Independent Church!!

What you are, you can only become by choice. No one can make you become a follower of Satan, not even the weird voices in your head :P Just as you must CHOOSE to become a Christian, you must CHOOSE to become Satanic.
The voices in your head...Well, I've never heard voices. I have had uncontrollable, horrible thoughts though. It continued for an extended period of time too.
So, as someone who has been there and done that...I would like to tell you: 1) This isn't uncommon. 2) You are probably experiencing some form of anxiety.
Someone suggested that maybe your anxiety is caused by conflicting religious beliefs. Could be. It could also be that you are letting your own fears get way out of control.
For me, it was simply fear. I addressed the fear and did something to make myself feel better about it. When I did, the thoughts began to go away. Try acknowledging your own fears. Remember, "The only thing to fear is fear itself." If you continue to be anxious, go to your doctor. Even your family physician is fine.
And as for Wicca, well...Whether or not you think Satan is involved depends largely on what religious order you follow. Most Christians will tell you that all witches are pawns of Satan...Or something like that. They say that because of a specific scripture from the Old Testament that claims that all witchcraft is evil and a sin, that all witches who have power...That their power comes directly from the devil. (Sorry I can't remember the exact wording or what chapter. That's the basic premise, I know because I've read the Bible from cover to cover twice.)
However, scholars suggest that this rule was invented out of a need to discredit the old religions that existed before the Jewish religion was founded. Could be true. It certainly gave many Christians an excuse to persecute innocent people.
I would also like to mention that while I am not a member of any religious order, nor do I practice witchcraft, I do not believe that Wiccans are evil, and nor are their practices. I know many, many Wiccans. They are all normal, caring people who worship a dual diety, God and Goddess incarnations. (Though Wicca has many variations, it's usually something like this.) I see their practices as nothing more than a different type of ritual and prayer. All religions have different sorts of prayers and rituals. Just because one particular religion has practices different from many others, does not mean that they should be singled out and condemned. If we did that, not only would the Christians say that...Buddhists, for example are going to hell, but that they are also worshippers of Satan for practicing yoga and meditation.
My advice, don't just acknowledge your fears, but realize that how you connect with the higher power, is not as important as if you do. If you believe that your practices bring you closer to God, well...You're just praying in a different way. And remember that just because you associate yourself with a certain religion, doesn't mean that you have to believe everything that they have to say about the higher power. God gave you a brain, he intended for you to use it. He wants you to decide who he is for yourself. He wants you to believe what you believe, not just because someone else told you to believe it, but because it makes sense to you. Many paths to the higher power exist in this world, and I believe that they are all valid. I believe such because...If God does indeed know everything, then he knew before he even created us, that we would all be different. And that means different beliefs, different practices, different religions.

You're probably just stressed and over-concerned about these things. But Satanism isn't at all what you think! It has nothing to do with sacrificing people and murder and all that bad stuff. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) has information on it. Not that I'm trying to convert you, but if you knew what real Satanism was like you might be less worried. I don't know why the people on that site are dressed up so freakishly...that scares people...idiots. But check it out, it could calm you down. Your religion is YOUR choice, you can't become a Satanist or a Buddhist or a Jew or anything else without willingly converting. Nothing is happening to you, you're just way stressed out. This happened to me one summer a few years ago, I thought I had a bunch of diseases and that goblins were lurking in every corner waiting to grab me and eat out my spleen. I stopped staying up late reading and oddly enough, not watching TV also helped since a lot of shows were giving me paranoia. Just take a deep breath and relax, and everything will be okay. =)

Ok, the devil is just trying to make you think that you're a satanist, and if you believe it, then you're giving him what he wants and giving in.When you start to think these thoughts, just say Jesus's name over and over again, and that will make him go away, because he knows that Jesus and God are more powerful than him, and he's scared of them. I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with wicca, if that's what you're into. Witchcraft does NOT involve the devil, to all of you who said so. It's just a different set of beliefs. Because I'm originally Jewish, I don't believe in the devil. If I don't believe in the devil, and witchcraft involves the devil, how could I believe in witchcraft? It doesn't work, which means the devil can't be involved. Yay logic. I made my own religion, and none of it involves a "devil" or "satan" or whatever you want to call it.
Anyway,
You may be freaking yourself out by getting too involved in all this. Your catholic teachings and study of witchcraft could be conflicting with each other and your catholic self could be afraid of what you're doing. I don't think you need to get on your knees and pray to your "savior" or anything like that. You're only a satanist if you decide you are, if you decide to worship "satan" and denounce "god" or whatever.
I don't believe you can "turn into a satanist" against your will.
However, if you really feel that you need to turn to god or any given higher power, do pray, and maybe ask a religious figure or someone you trust for help. Or, if you feel that it might help to talk to someone professional, go see a psychologist (not a school psychologist. They're fake and I don't trust them). They might be able to help you sort out what's going on in your head.
In the meantime, don't freak out. Meditate at night to relax your mind and convince yourself either . Maybe lay off all religion for awhile, including wicca/witchcraft, and see if that doesn't help.

First of all, witchcraft is involving yourself with the devil. Witchcraft is satanic in itself. I would compeletly stop doing any way, shape, or form of it before you get to where you can't stop. The voice in your head is the devil. That probably soudns dumb but it is. If the devil is attacking you so much, then he is obviously scared of what you could become on Gods side. Pray about it, and ask God to help you. Whenever I feel that the devil is attacking me for something, I know that he is just scared of who I am and what I could do to him with Gods protection, and I sometimes whisper it, or sometimes shout at him to go away in the name of Jesus Christ. No one can force you to be a satanist and if you truely believe it's wrong and you don't want to do it you can break free of the devils bond. First I will address the fact that witchcraft DOES involve the devil. The devil convinces you that it's no big deal and that it's even fun. The power you use when you play around with it, is the forces of evil. It's not just innocent stuff that has no consquences. You have been messing around with serious SERIOUS sin. You have open a spiritual door for the devil to convince that you're a satanist. You have a choice to walk through that open door and believe satan or the door can be slammed shut! Continue to say NO to these thoughts and DO NOT give into them. You are now aware of what is happening and where it can lead. The devil wants you and he will fight to keep that door open - to get you to say yes, but it's not to late to cry out to Jesus to save you from this. Jesus is the only one strong enough to help you slam it shut. I do want to warn you though, there will be an inner battle. You are already experiencing part of the battle, but grab ahold of Jesus and don't let go, He will lead through. You will only get the serious help you need from Jesus. Read the bible out loud. The devil can't stand hearing God's Word. Pray and pray some more. Surround yourself with bible believing Christians. And put away whitchcraft and other things that have to do with spiritual darkness.

okay, I think that you are troubled. I am assuming that life at home isnt well for you or abuse has happend somewhere along the lines. You really need to see a doctor, you are not insane, and your not becoming a satnist, you just have an illness that can be treated. Seak help from a doctor, you will do alot better i promise you.

Try and steer your life away from religeon for a while. No offense, but i think that religeons are bogus:
*Jesus would die as soon as the nails went though his arms and he wouldn't have time to contact god.
*Moses could not have spread the ocean with waving his hands.
If god (if there is such a thing) made us all different, not identical, we should have diff interests and hobbies. Wiji Sciances (trying to contact ghosts) are common at sleepovers. If people do stuff like that they would have had supernatural powers. Because the satan would have wanted someone to do their job completely not just part of it. Hope it helps.
