You didn't do anything wrong and maybe he was just teasing you?

A lot of Frenching has to do with what you're thinking, and what you're doing with your tongue - obviously.
However, I don't think you did anything wrong. I think your guy has to realize that he has to open his mouth a little and let your tongue in too. French kissing is a two-person thing and shouldn't really be one person sticking their tongue into the other's mouth.
Next time he tries to French you, maybe play with his tongue a little. Think of drawing circles in his mouth, or the infinity sign, or hearts. Something curvy. Teach him what you like/want by doing what you like/want him to do.
I hope this helps!

Have him kiss something else.

Or say 'be gentle, or ill slap you in the face!'

The first time I was kissed, the guy tried to french kiss me and bit my lip. I think it was nerves and that's what I got bit.

My friend's ex-boyfriends all say that the first time she kissed them she got nervous and accidently bit them. I think it's just normal for some people. My friend doesn't even realize she does it, or so she claims. I think the best thing to do is try again and ask him not to bite you and to be gentle.

Good luck. Let me know if you need anything else.
