MY SLOGAN: TREAT YOURSELF!

Hi my name is Jen - I am 33 and married; a graphic desinger, a big sister, movie lover, horse rider, and board game nerd.

advice

I am going out w. this guy that i only like as a friend. I like this other guy a lot! But that other guy doesn't really like me like only as a friend. I don't know if i should brake up with the guy i'm with to be with the other guy
(even though he isn't ready to have a girl friend) or should i stay together with that guy.
Sincerely,
lost in which love

I think you should break up with your current boyfriend regardless. You only like him as a friend, not a boyfriend. That's not fair to either of you. As for the other guy, if he is not ready for a girlfriend nor likes you in that way, then why even persue him?

Well, this is probably one of the most random questions I personally have ever asked. I love Panera's French Baguette (sp?) it's basically a long loaf of french bread. It is by far the best bread ever. But, getting to my question, I buy the bread when it is nice and fresh so it's warm and soft. After about 2-3 days, the bread gets hard. Is there any way to prevent the bread from getting hard? I had to put it in the microwave just to make it soft enough to bite into! I can't bite into hard things because I have braces and they might break off. But can anyone tell me as to how I can keep the bread from getting hard and virtually unedible? Thanks!

Good fresh baked bread does only last a few days, especially hard breads. That's why bakerys sell "day old bread" at a cheaper price. Even if you keep it sealed in an air tight container, it will never be as good as that first day.

16/f. I've been really curious about tanning salons. I really want to go to one, but my mom is kind of hesitant to let me do such a thing. Aside from it looking "fake", is it as dangerous as a tan from the sun, or is it less harmless? Also, my arms are tan (I have a "farmers tan") from wearing short sleeves, but I can't wear tank tops, show my stomach or even wear low cut tops (I don't want to wear TOO low cut tops, but right now, everything under my neck line is white...) and I want to get rid of that, so how would I even it out in a tanning bed?

Tanning at a Salon is no worse than tanning out in the sun. Either way, tanning is bad for your skin, increasing your risk of skin cancer. So if you must get a tan, it really won't matter where you get it.

r u suppose to feel the contact just a very lil bit at the bottom by your bottom lid? But then again I just got them. How long do they take to get use to? And anything i should know about them

*puzzled*

No, you shouldn't be able to notice your contats. I only feel mine if I have worn them all day and my eyes are dryed out, or if it is getting to be time to replace them. Could you have possibly put them in backwards?

I've been working on my resume, but there is not a whole lot to it. I've basically had two jobs, and have volunteered at three different occasions. I want to find something in the animal care/veterinary field. But I'm still going to school full time, and am only finished with one semester of a Veterinary Technology major.

If I apply to every Vet clinic in the area, should I make a cover letter for each place? I'm most familiar with one certain clinic, because I've been the janitor there for a while, so I had no problem making a cover letter for them. But I don't really know what to say about all of the other clinics.

Should I just hand a resume in to each place, and hope for the best? Or should I make an individual cover letter for each clinic?

Is there anything else that I could do to spice up my resume?

Yes, you need a cover letter for every place you apply! You are putting yourself at a disatvantage if you don't. You could make a somewhat generic cover letter, and then just slightly adjust it for each clinic. I recommend you buy a book about cover letters and resumes that has samples. I found mine very useful when applying for jobs, it gave me a lot of good ideas. Good luck!

I have intense hair flaking. The skin on my scalp is coming off and causing dandriff. Its really gross and a few people asked me if I had lice and I said no its just hairspray but the fact is I dont even use hairspray.. This is really gross and Im constantly worrying about it so I dont know what I should do..

You need to buy a conditioning shampoo to control your dry scalp. I highly recommend Neutragina T-gel. You use it along with your regular shampoo.

I noticed you have a paid account (because of the "niffty gold star as it says on the page about it). I have a few questions. How do you use pay pal? And do you get any other speacil privilages aside from the ones on the page about it? Thank you in advance.

Pay pal is just a service for transfering funds. It's easy to sign up, just follow the directions. I use pay pal for buying stuff on ebay all the time, it's a very reliable service. As for special privlages for having a paid account, I think you are able to have more control of the design of your column, but you have to know html. There is also a disscusion board for supporters, but I belive I am the only one so that's pointless. I didn't become a supporter to get any extra privilages though. I just want to make sure Advicenators is around for a while, so I did what I could to help out.

when i go to dances and grind with boys i don't really know what to do. i feel awkward doing it. what is the girl supposed to do while grinding? please help me this is so embarassing! i rate good for anything!

You shouldn't be "grinding" with boys you don't know. If they tried it on me I would think of it as a violation rather than dancing. If it makes you feel uncomfortable, then don't do it.

Ok,

I never know how I should respond to the "V" question when trying to get with a girl. If I say my truthful and say no, they are like "awww, that's sweet" And pretty much never hear from them again, but I don't want to lie and have it kick me latering down the line. What should I do in this situation?

Honesty is always the best policy. And a girl that doesn't want to be with you because you are a virgin isn't worth keeping around anyways.

I have to have a book read for english by monday! Problem is..im reading The Green Mile by Steven King and im only on page 110 and its a 500 page book! I just havent had any time. I know theres the movie The Green Mile. Is it the same as the book? Or is it different?
I read Christine by Steven King and I remember most of it. Is the movie just like the book?
If anyone out there knows the answer to one or both of these questions please let me know! Im going to just watch one of those movies instead of reading it. Thank you and your time is appreciated! I'll rate generously!

Books are gernerally somewhat different than movies, especially with Steven King. Just read the book since that was the point of your assignmet. It will take you about the same amount of time as renting and watching the movie anyway. You only have 400 pages left to go, just split it up between the next 3 days. You have pleanty of time. And the more you read, the faster reader you will become.

ok... i need to kno how to tell if my boyfriend is whipped or not... is there like a test or someting? lol... and if he is (which i fear he might be) how do i 'unwhip' him? lol... call me crazy but i dont like it!! lol... thanx ppl...
...cle

Do you even know what whipped means?? That you can get him to do whatever you want. To "unwhip" him I guess all you have to do is do what he wants, and don't ask him to do stuff for you all the time.

does anybody know how hard it is to get into princeton b/c i am freaking out about getting into it. i am a straight A student but will it be enough?

You should talk to a school counsler about what kind of requiremnts you will need. For a competitive school like Princeton, good grades might not be enough. What was your SAT score? What extra cricular activites are you in? You most like will also have to have an essay to accompany your application, as well as recomendation letters. And there is most likely a very expensive application fee. Check out Princeton online and do some research.

Hey, I have really really sensitive skin and dry hair. I can't find a good shampoo and conditioner that my skin/scalp won't react to ( a lot of the perfumes etc) and will make my hair look full and rich. Do any of you know a good "natural" shampoo and conditioner that works really well for my type of hair? Thanks.

Nutragina T-gel works wonders for a dry scalp. You use it in addition to your regular shampoo. I use it at least once a week.

1. My mom won't let me get that laser surgery to correct my vision. She just doesn't think that the long term effects have been proven yet and would rather have me wear glasses or contacts. I have contacts now, but I want to get colored contacts (have dark brown eyes but want gray or sapphire blue eyes)- does anyone know if they have prescription colored contacts for astigmatism? I know there are power color lenses but may not have them for my eye condition.

2. Also, i have dark rings around my eyes. I have school, work, and practice so there isn't a way I can get 8 hours of sleep a night (and even then they don't go away). I don't feel tired at all and just don't sleep that much. Other than makeup, anyone else have ideas on how I can decrease the rings under my eyes?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Lazer surgery is very expensive, and may be another reason why your mother won't let you get it done. Save up your money and get it done when your 18.

For puffy eyes, you need to put something cool on them. You can buy an eye mask you keep in the regfigerator - I got mine at the dollar store. Cucumber slices work good as well.
