No sorry, my brother goes there and he had to do a lot more then get strait A's. He was on varsity ice hockey, he had a lot of extra caricular activities, and a lot of comunity service. He did a lot of lab work, and junk like that over the summer at princeton, and my family gives a lot of money to the school. Now there is a chance u wiill get in but i wouldnt get you hopes up! GOOD LUCK!

Princeton is a very difficult school to get into. Straight A's do matter a lot, but it also matters on the kind of prep school you went to too. If you went to a very hard school then they'll be more impressed etc.

You need great SAT, ACT, SAT II (math and english + 1 more subject), great AP test scores (if you took them during junior year) and any other academic honors you've received (National Honor Society).

You'll also need a lot of great extracurricular activity. They fall in three areas- community, academic, and school activities. If you're a lacrosse player and a good one that helps too (before killing my knee I was going to go there for lax).

Also it helps if you're legacy (ie your parents, grandparents etc went there). Money doesn't matter that much anymore, because they have plenty of progams and get more money if they take non-rich people.

This may be dirty pool but find out if you're able to qualify for some Affirmative Action things- minority race, poor area, disadvantaged.

Also, recommendation letters matter and your essay matters too during the application.

Good luck,
Arun

Princeton is really hard to get into. You need high boards, tons of extra curriculars, and you have to be in the top 5% of your class to start with. It helps if your family is alumni or very rich and if you've done summer programs there.

Straight A's is great..they will also look at your SAT scores. Colleges..especially good ones like princeton will look for what you do outside of school. Like extra activities such as sports, clubs, student council, etc. Straight A's is good..but they will look at what courses you took..if you took honors courses..challenging courses..etc. I have a friend who thinks shes getting into a great school..yes shes smart (kinda) but she doesnt do anything else..so she probably wont get into a really great school

Good grades are a part of it. You have to be involved with after school stuff and clubs, too. Good luck! I'm sure you'll get in. Wish I got straight A's, lol.
Hope I helped!

You should talk to a school counsler about what kind of requiremnts you will need. For a competitive school like Princeton, good grades might not be enough. What was your SAT score? What extra cricular activites are you in? You most like will also have to have an essay to accompany your application, as well as recomendation letters. And there is most likely a very expensive application fee. Check out Princeton online and do some research.
