I like fairies (thus why I am wearing fairy wings in the picture). Good grammar rocks, too. It doesn't have to be perfect but I get frustrated when people completely disregard it. I like every color except pink. I hate the wind. Sometimes, I carry around a little teddy bear I found at an antique store. His name is Robert. I dress very eccentrically. It's not unusual for me to wear a prairie dress one day and a Mod dress (think Austin powers) the next. I don't dye my hair, or wear much make-up. I think it's sad that no one puts any emphasis on natural beauty anymore. I think it's a good thing to be open and educated about sex and other issues that are considered taboo. I have a hard time seeing where homophobics are coming from.

ok im in a lot of trouble...here it goes, me, one of my best friends staci and her cousin nick got drunk at a party at her house(were all 13 and this is our first time getting drunk)...her aunt let us drink...so me and nick had like 5,6 straight shots and staci only had like 2. so me and nick were smashed and staci was a lil drunk...we went on stacis trampoline and we finally fell and were just laying there...i dont know i was being weird and was saying shit like"i love you guys, your the best, im glad we did this together." and i looked over at nick and we started hooking up he had his hand on my ass and i didnt mind, i had my hands all over him(not on his dick or anything) and we were making out for a while, my other best friend jessica likes him alot. but i was so drunk to even remeber that. staci finally relized what was going on and pull us off of each other and we were like what are you doing stop..and then she started freaking out and was like i need to call jessica i need to call jessica..and nick was trying to talk to her and i was like nick i love you and he was like yea i love you to..and he looked over and gave me a lil kiss. well jessica came over to stacis house and put me to bed and i fell alseep

This is why 13 year olds shouldn't drink. Just wait a while and things will probably start to smooth out. They'll believe what they want to believe. Try to find something else to do for fun in the future, too.

im 13 female. i weigh aout 130 and im about 5'1'. i want to lose like 15-20 pounds. does anyone have any ideas on how to loose weight. i cant spend hours on it everyday because i am very dedicated to school. do you have any ideas?

Working out for 20 minutes to an hour 3-5 times a week whether it's running, doing crunches, or generally moving around continuously and eating healthier (cutting back on junk food and unnecessary snacks) generally helps people lose weight. Eating a light breakfast is also important, because it helps the metabolism to stabilize rather than drop down because you aren't eating for long periods of time.

Hello. I was just at my friends yesterday and from about 6 to 10 she was on the computer talking to her "internet boy friend" so i hung out with her sister. Then this morning same thing over again. Her dad even told her that it was rude and she didnt care and she knew i was upset. Shes the one that invited me so it makes very little sense too me. I used to be that girl. Just tell her that if she does that next time you're leaving, and she'll eventually realize that that's not the way to keep friends. Asking her nicely to get off the computer is a respectful way to go about it, but it probably won't get her off the computer.

i have a friend who ive known for 2 years, we've dated on and off through out those two years, i love him too, but there wont be anymore relationship because he's moving to another state.. his sweet 16 is on the 19th.. which is why i need to get something special for him, does anyone have any cool ideas, cuz i cant think of anything, i can spend up to like $50 maybe a little more, but not a lot

What does he like? Sometimes making things shows you put more thought into it than buying something. Collages, mixed cds, scrap books, even sewing something or making clothes can be good, though it really depends on what he's into and what you can do. If he's really into sports, take him to a sports game. If he's really into music, take him to a concert you think he'd like. You could bake him a cake, take him out to eat, or make him go on scavenger hunt, or something goofy like that. Good luck with finding something.

I feel numb. I can get out of bed, go to work, joke with people, do things I love, and still feel this way. I just can't seem to shake it off. I feel hollow inside, and I don't really know WHY.
Sometimes I only sleep 2-3 hours a night. Other nights I sleep 12-13 hours. I also do not eat properly anymore, even on my good days. Some days I'll just eat an apple for breakfast/lunch and about 1/3 of my dinner. I just don't feel hungry. But even when I am starving, I fix up a big meal and try to put the food in my mouth, but I have to stop because it makes me feel like vomiting. Believe me, I fix meals every day and try to eat snacks but most of it ends up in the trash or back in the fridge. I don't think I am fat, in fact, I think I am too skinny and wouldn't mind some curves on my body. I think maybe my mind is in such anguish that it wants the body to suffer too.
Please don't be like... just eat something!!! Just be happy!!! Believe me, I TRY. It's not as easy as some people think. I have been down the road of counselling (no help) and meds(made me act ADD) for depression before, but this feeling seems different to me. Just numbness, not really saddness/pain/hopelessness like the depression I felt in the past (about 3 years ago). (link)

I have a similar problem to yours. I suggest just trying not to think too much about things that make you depressed or empty and live day to day. Try really hard to live in the present, and focus every bit of energy to whatever you're doing at that moment. It's really difficult, and it doesn't always work and there are relapses, but it's better than being depressed ALL the time.

me and my boyfriend have been together for 2 1/2 years now. he just recently went to college and im a high school senior. we see each other every weekend but for some reason i still can't be happy with our situation. he doesn't understand why i have to get upset. i trust him not to do anything stupid. i just dont understand why i cant be over this stage..its been about 3 months. any suggestions? You're just not used to not seeing him all the time. It's perfectly normal to have trouble dealing with such drastic changes. The more you force yourself to get over something, the longer it could take. Don't beat yourself up over any emotions you may feel, because feelings are always valid. I don't think there is any way to make him understand, just try not to let it ruin your relationship with him. Try to enjoy the time that you do have with him and remind youself that it will be okay. I am wondering between going to Lindbergh next year or Lutheran South. I know a lot of people at both and I have a lot of friends at both. Lindbergh is more known and has better sport teams that I can get into. Lutheran South has different sports that I want to try there. (Ex: Field Hockey.) Do you have any advice that could help my choice? Also, South has religion classes Lindbergh doesn't. Thanks. Rate 5's. (link)

Lindbergh sounds good. You can still pursue religious activities outside of school, and better sports teams is the way to go if that is what you're going for.

I lost 3 large clots, approx size of a cup coaster (no pain, they just fell out of me when I stood up) in my 11th week of pregnancy and started bleeding after that. I was taken to hospital and scanned and the baby was fine. They kept me in for a few days and scanned me 3 times - each time the baby was fine, steady heartbeat and the foetus was moving around. They gave me a vaginal examination to try and establish where the bleeding had come from but could not find anything.
The bleeding had stopped within 12 hours of starting.
Have you ever heard of this before, and do you think the pregnancy will carry on normally? Do you know what the cause of this could be?
I am very worried that this is going to happen again but with a miscarriage as the end result, and keep checking myself for bleeding and am overly cautious of any aches or pains that occur in my abdomen.

I think I've heard of this happening before. It's kind of unusual, but it doesn't necessarily mean that your pregnancy will end in miscarriage. If you're still very worried, maybe try to get a second opinion. If that doctor says that you're fine, too, then just relax and hope for the best. Worrying will only put stress on your body. Your body is probably having a hard time adjusting to the birth control. Because birth control is unnatural and screws with your reproductive system (most seem to trick your body into thinking its pregnant) different people respond to it in different ways, and many times in strange ways such as your case. Make sure you let your doctor know, because he or she might have some comforting words (like it could end soon) or ways to stop that.

He was just playing head games with you. Forget about him... he obviously doesn't care for you. He likely lead you on because some men have insecurities that just...cause them to do it. It's pretty stupid but it happens. Long distance relationships are always hard...try to forget about this person and find someone closer to you..

On a more serious note, having a kid is going to be a HUGE slap in the face for you if the most you're worried about is this. Here's what I have to say, though you probably won't like it. Screw em. What's done is done. Tell your boyfriend the truth yourself, before other people can talk to him more about it, and if he hates you...well...he hates you. Those are the consequences of your actions, and yes, it sucks, but so does life a majority of the time and it's something you're going to have to get used to. Obviously, don't stay friends with that cruel person. If you're seriously so worried about what other people will think, drop out. Personally though, I think it's better just to block them out. What do the rest of them matter anyway? They don't matter. If you're going to have this baby, just focus on keeping yourself and your body healthy. You have a long road ahead of you..

People say it hurt, but it didn't for me. It all depends on the person who is giving the pap smear and how comfortable you are with people touching you there. The more nervous you are, the more uncomfortable you will likely be. It's nothing to be afraid of, because even if it hurts you, it really doesn't last that long. Mostly, it feels just a bit weird. If you're still really nervous, tell the gynecologist you're really sensitive so that they will bear it in mind. You'll be fine.. it's not as scary as everyone makes it sound. Good luck!!

Ok, well here is my story. Me and this guy I have known since 8th grade (10th grade now) went out for about a year. We have been "semi-dating" I guess you could say ever since we broke up, but the thing is that after we broke up we still had a relationship and I got pregnant. After he found out that I was pregnant we started to get really close again and it made me want to be with him. Both him and I know that the baby is his, there's no doubt about that. Well, today we were talking and he knows that I still would really like it if we made our dating official, like boyfriend girlfriend again. He knows that I want to be with him, and he said that we would be together. Well here is where the problem comes in, he doesn't want to make it official. To me if it isn't official then does that mean I can be with someone else? I am the type to get jealous and I think that unless we make it official I will continue to feel the way I do and its making me very depressed, what should I do? Would it be right if I just took charge and asked him out or should I just keep giving him hints that I want him to do it? HELP PLEASE

Considering you're having his baby, you deserve more respect than that. He doesn't want to make it official. Translation: He wants to be able to fuck around on you and have it be justified by the fact that he manipulated you into agreeing that it shouldn't be official. He would be a bad influence not only on your life but your baby's... this all leads me to the question... if he's not responsible enough to give you a stable relationship, what the hell kind of a father is he going to be? Not much of one, most likely. You're both too young to be raising a child. If you want to keep it, it's your choice, but somethign tells me he won't be around to help.

I guess I was speaking from my point of view...I'm typically very straight foward. If you've told me that you're interested, I will generally be like, "well sorry, I'm not." I'm not a fan of leading people on. I think that this girl is probably interested and in your case it wasn't a creepy thing to do.

Went out earlier tonight and stole as many flowers out of gardens as I posibly could, ended up with quite a lot of differant flowers.
Went to this girls house, who I have been out with at least 6 times, climbed over her apartment fence (questioning my sanity at being there in the middle of the night) scatered the flowers on her lawn and left.
I'm kinda scared that she will think I'm a weirdo stalker or something, but I really hope it makes her happy and special...

Okay. I'm a junior in high school and I'm graduating at the end of this year. I want to enter college in the Fall of 2006 and major in math and physics, those have always been areas that interest me. I have already applied to four different colleges, I'm working on scholarships as hard as I can, and I have two part-time jobs in addition to keeping up extracurriculars and 4 AP classes. I'm working as hard as I can this year because I really want to set myself up for college and living on my own.
Here's the problem: My mom has forbidden me to apply to any colleges, she wants me to go in the Fall of 2007 so that I can get in a full year of work, because she says I'm not mature enough. I have worked really, really hard at everything: I've kept up my chores, my job teaching piano, my job at the library, my schoolwork, and being in a musical, and she still won't let me. Now, normally I would think that working for a year to save up money for college is a great idea. But my majors are in math and physics, and a year is a long time to be away from calculus and quantum mechanics. I'm really afraid of losing the momentum, and of missing my chance to go for my goals.
My guidance counselor at school tells me to apply to every college I want to and not worry about my mom just yet...along with a score of other people, like my dad, my grandma, my boyfriend, and various other family friends. It's just, I'm really worried about this...like the fight that will ensue once I start hearing back from the colleges I applied to. I'm completely dedicated to going in the Fall of 2006...with or without my mom's consent, but I would really like it to be with.
Is there anything I can do to convince her I can handle it?

I don't think she will handle it until she wants to. I think you bring up a really good point - it's kind of bad to take a year off if you want to major in math and physics. You've likely already pointed this out to her. Since you have your other family members backing you, I think that you have a good chance of going to college regardless of whether your mom supports you. I think that you should try to go no matter what, and if it leaves you and your mom on bad terms, she'll have to get over it eventually. She, of all people, has no business keeping you from your dreams.
